Re-opening of Dis Store @ Vaughn Mills?

Hi evryone, I was at Vaughn Mills a few weeks ago and the signs all said the grand re-opening was Tues Sept 15-has anyone been out to the mall since then and seen/read anything different? I want to go out on Tues am but I hate to make the blasted 407 trip if it is not opening. i think I will call VMills customer service today and see what they say but I know my fellow dis'ers always have the inside info so I cam here first-anyone know anything???

I was there on Labour Day and the signs still say the 15th and the first ### of customers get something free. I don't remember the number or what the free item is. (It's a work day for me so if I can't go...I lost all interest. LOL)

The grand re-opening is Tuesday, Sept 15th. The first 200 guests will get Mickey ears. It's in a different location though. Down by Johnny Rockets. It's a lot smaller store too. There is going to be a ribbon cutting as well.

We got our ears yesterday and a sucker.

We also got two beach towels for $5 each which was pretty good and a bowl for my nephew for $2.99.

Was just there today. Wow, the store has gotten a lot smaller. It was hard to maneuver in there today.

We tried to take the kids in the stroller but gave up... not enough room. But was happy to see a couple of fellow disers while at the mall... :O)

Have to agree that the new store really isn't stroller friendly.

Why do they plan the stores without thinking about strollers! same thing at Sq. 1 if I have the bigger stroller forget it. Even with my Maclaren its still hard to get around.

My Nana lives off of Elgin Mills. We make our way there on the toll highway (407?) What exit should we take off of that and where do we go when we are off of it? Thanks!!

Get off @ 400 and Head north (Towards Barrie). Continue North about 4 or 5 kms and exit at either BASS PRO MILL DRIVE or RUTHERFORD ROAD.

It's still at Vaughan Mills but has moved to the area near Johnny Rockets. It's right next to Toys Toys Toys now. (ie, closer to Bass Pro Outlets).
