I have canon rebel xsi with kit lens and 55-250. I may at some point get the nifty 50. Wanted a bag not too big with easy access and backpack type.
I have narrowed down my search to lowepro fastpack 200 or the kata 465 rucksack. Leaving for disney Sept 29 and need the bag.
I have not seen the kata at any stores. Anyone with experience with either or both bags?
Help me! I can't decide.

Don't have experience with those particular bags, but I do currently have a Kata R102 backpack as my primary camera bag. I had a Lowepro previously, which was a fine bag, and never wore out or had a problem...but I can say that in comparison, the Kata looks like it could survive on a soldier's back in WWIII. The build, materials, thickness, heft, feel of the zippers and enclosures, etc are so industrial-strength or military-strength that I can't imagine anyone ever needing to replace one. I'm convinced that they are the best built packs I've ever encountered.
Again...not that I had any problems ever with the Lowepro...it just didn't have that same feel and sense of military-grade construction that the Kata has.

Never used or saw a kata bag on any of the trips we have taken, but I have a lowepro slingshot that i use and love.I have seen more of these on trips then any other bag that's why I bought mine.I'm thinking of getting a bigger one now because of the extra equipment we have bought

I have the Lowepro 250 I believe, the one that holds a laptop...it is a good bag..sturdy grab handle on top, easily adjustable shoulder straps. Getting the camera pouch open takes some getting used to, but as far as a good storage bag, it is sturdy and can take a decent rain as far as protection of gear goes...

I have the Lowepro Slingshot 200. It's large enough to carry camera, 3 additional lenses, flash and various other accessories.

Thanks for all the advice. I just ordered the Kata good price $54 free shipping no tax. The access might not be as good but it weighs more then a pound less then lowepro. I will let you know how it works out for me. I will be going to Disneyworld by myself sept 29-oct 5 plenty of time for pictures.
Also found the gorillapod 3 for $30 on amazon. I hope it works out and I can find a place to use it for fireworks I did not want to lug around a tripod.
