DISCON Avatars

Hey everyone,

I have some bad news, all those nifty DISCON Avatars I have made for everyone and have been hosting on my site, well I got notice today that they they pulled 43 Gig(normal useage is 5 gig) of data last month and that I needed to cut way back on my bandwidth. So I am going to have to take them off of my site :(

I will give everyone a week to find a new host for their avatars, Maybe you can host them on you own site, or if someone has availability maybe they can host them there. I will keep mine on my site, but we will have to find sites for the others.


Sorry about all of this, but I don't want to be hit with a bill for excess bandwidth. I know everyone loves them, and if you need help finding a spot to store them let me know, and I will try to help.

Tia,

Ussually your ISP gives you space for your own web page. That is probably the best place to host it.

Find out if your ISP does, and I will try and help you get it switched over to it.

I'm pretty sure that an ISP is some kind of snake. You know, like the one that bit Cleopatra.;)

An ISP is your "Internet Service Provider" aka.. AOL, Earthlink, ATTBI, etc...


Most Providers give users space for a webpage, and that is where you can store your clipart. If you are not sure if yours does let me know who your provider is and I will try and help you.

for those who want to make sure that it is correct, you can just right click on the image and chose properties(for those with windows) and it will show you the location of the image

Hey everyone I have a question. I "kind of Made" a web page. (OK, it has the nothing on it!)

I think I moved my DISCON art, but on my web page it does not move. Hmmm...

I am still going to try and put it in my signature. Tigger may just be still!!!

I did it! OK. Patrick did the hard part, he made the art, but this was my first web attempt and I got it to work! YEAH!!!

I would like to thank everyone for their understanding in this, it really upset me to have to do this. For those who did not get your clipart moved, I saved them. I will tell you where you can find them to upload to your site. I am very sorry about the inconvience. I did not realize how large a burden that they put on my server :(
