anyone going late december around new year's eve? are the crowds unbearable? i can get a rate of $230./night at the yacht club but not sure its worth going that time of year? thanks !

Yes, it's crazy busy...but you just have to plan for it by getting to the parks first thing in the morning. Personally, we will be there Dec. 25 -Jan. 2, but are not planning to be in the parks on NYE....we'll be in downtown Disney at La Nouba, avoiding the "wall to wall" crowds assembling for fireworks. Besides, I believe they show the special NYE fireworks on Dec. 30 as well.

The YC/BC/BW area is a great area by itself for New Year's Eve. You can view the high fireworks of both Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. There's entertainment at the Boardwalk and usually a DJ too. My kids love it!

Great suggestions! We're staying at the Dolphin and plan to enjoy the Boardwalk area on NYE when we return from the La Nouba show.:thumbsup2
