Alright so let begin this party!!
We are home…OBIVIOUSLY! If you followed me over from my PTR, I am so glad that you joined me!! If you are new to my TR, then let me start by saying welcome!! I am glad that you are here to join me and my family as we relive the memories of our trip.

So let’s start with the introductions:
Theres me of course, Stephanie…Tink is my favorite character!! I absolutely LOVE her!!

My DH…Jeff. Sometimes he acts like Grumpy…but his favorite would be the Mouse himself!

DS10…Not sure on his favorite character…he is going through that stage where he is trying to himself out as a young GROWING boy!

DS5…He LOVES Mickey too!! Wasn’t happy until he saw him. He also like Peter Pan and Goofy! Oh yeah, he may have a little bit of a crush on Minnie!!

So there you have our cast of characters…now lets get to the details of the trip:

Who: Well I just told you that
When: August 29 – September 5
Where: Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
How: Mommy made it happen.

Now that the particulars are out of the way….let get started with the trip.

So because we were :drive: we headed out on the 28th. Needless to say with all of the planning that I had already done, I still had a lot to do that day. :rolleyes1 Last minute shopping, packing and cleaning. I am such a procrastinator…I just think that I work better under pressure!! The original plan was to head out by 1 am, since mapquest timed it as a 13 ½ hr drive. Yeah even though we have a GPS, we still print of mapquest direction….crazy right! Well DH was very tired and he does all of the driving, so we decided to leave later, so that he could sleep a little more. So with the car packed and the house cleaned we headed out from VA around 5:15 am. Much later than anticipated…but I was okay with it because I knew that we had a funfilled week planned! I got the boys in the car, they were wondering where we were going. Instantly they thought we were going to Grandmas!! PERFECT!! :thumbsup2 Here are a couple of pictures of them getting settled in the car:

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1001.jpg

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1002.jpg

Now I do NO driving…my DH calls me spoiled!! But this is why I am in charge of making sure that everything is packed and in order before we leave. The drive wasn’t bad at all. I went to sleep of course…had hadn’t been to sleep since I woke up the previous morning…I was VERY tired. The boys went right to sleep. I woke up around 9 am and realized that Jeffery had just woke up too. I gave him a sandwich because he was hungry (we almost never stop on the road when we drive, I pack sandwiches, snacks and drinks all the time). After eating be got his PSP and kept himself entertained. I played on my BBerry…actually was able to read some threads on the DIS! Jahlil woke up when we stopped for gas around 9:45. Everyone got out, stretched their legs and went to the rest room…

The three of my boys:

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1004.jpg

And me waiting for them to come out of the restroom:

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1005.jpg

My little ones...still thinking we are going to grandmas:

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1009.jpg

Now the rest of the ride gets a little foggy…bear with me it was a long drive. I know that the boys played their games and DS5 watched a couple of movies. I dozed off and on and DH talked on his phone. DS10 started to ask a lot of questions…and I was dying to show them the surprise video…but I packed it in the back of the truck!?!? Here is the final video that I had for them to watch:

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/th_SurpriseWDWtrip_0001.jpg (http://s205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/?action=view&current=SurpriseWDWtrip_0001.flv)

We stopped for gas a couple of more times…DS5 went back to sleep. Jeffery was reading EVERY road sign. Then is happened we saw a road sign that said Miami/Orlando. Then I heard this, “Are we going to Miami?” My response “Yes we are going to Miami..” I know a little white lie…it didn’t hurt! The last time we stopped for gas was right outside of Orlando. While the boys were in the rest room I set up the video for them. Here is a video of them watching it:

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/th_DisneyTripDay1015.jpg (http://s205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/?action=view&current=DisneyTripDay1015.flv)

Not quite the response, I thought I would get. But for children that have never experienced the real Disney experience…they didn’t really know what to get excited for. Here are a few more pictures of the drive:

WE ARE HERE!!

We arrive at SSR at 5:23pm, GREAT timing. I already did online check-in…so check was a breeze. We got our welcome packet, our "Welcome Home" from the CM's that we met and off to our room we went. I requested Congress park…I like the section. But I would have liked it more if we were on the 4th floor and really could see DTD. Here is our room (you can see I started to unpack):

A Hidden Mickey:

My baby now showing some excitement...I love the innocence of this picture:

The view from our room...not so good picture:

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1027.jpg

This night we took it easy. DH and DS10 went to get something to eat. DH had to have Zaxbys…he loves their wings. We use to get it all the time when we lived in GA, but they don’t have them where we are. The fact that they had them in Orlando, that’s what we had to have so he would get it out of his system. We all took showers and baths and got ready for bed for our EARLY morning (so we thought) in AK the next day!!

Up next: Day 1…Animal Kingdom

That's awesome! I think they were really surprised - it did seem like they were in shock. They had about the same reaction as my brother and sister did when we surprised them with a trip in 2006... they're about the same ages too. I think.. I just woke up, too tired to do math.

Can't wait to hear more!!!!!

Hi Stephanie!
I started on your PTR after I saw you on ORMommy/Daddy's PTR. So I have just finished your PTR & am on to the TR.

We are going in about 6 days and we also got the SSR upgrade from ASMu. How was SSR? Did you decorate your window? I want to but I am nervous since it's a DVC do people decorate their windows? Also can you tell me where you got the DISigns from again? Was the name Natalie? :confused3
Sorry for the 20 ?'s but we just decided to do shirts for MNSSP (just added it on to our trip :dance3:) and I am anxious since we leave so soon! I actually packed most my stuff last night & my son's the other night. (this is so new for me I am usually do this all at the last minute) This is our 1st trip to WDW!!:yay: We usually go to DL every year. I was stressed & wasn't too excited for the trip then I convinced my sister to do MNSSP & whooohooo now I'm :jumping2: for our trip to start! :cheer2: We are not going to tell the boys about it. (it's my sister n nephew (12) & me n my son (14) going on the trip) My son's bday is Oct 29 so we luv halloween so i think he will like MNSSP

I know this is from your PTR but I thought I would post my Which Disney Mom R U? Result on here for ya since your PTR is over...
It said I am Tess Coleman from Freaky Friday:
You and your kids have so much in common, people often ask who is the parent and who is the child. You're always up for having fun, playing games and bonding over pizza, ice cream and a good movie. You are very proud of your kids, and want to make sure they enjoy being young. Their friends confide in you and you know more about what's going on at school (like who has a crush on whom), than any other parent. You might take a fashion cue from the teen magazines rather than the "grown up" ones, but your motto is: "I'm only as old as I feel."

Cant wait to read more and hopefully hear some tips for SSR.

Hey, I figured I'd answer your question, since I just stayed there too... :)

(Hope that's okay Stephanie!)

SSR doesn't have windows by the doors, they have big windows in the bedroom and sliding glass doors that open onto your balcony, but no one can really see those unless they're on their balcony. And from that, you can't tell who's room is who's.

You could decorate your balcony if you wanted, but it'd just be for you. :goodvibes

I don't think people there decorate their windows or doors though. I don't think the doors are magnetic like cruise ships' either... although I didn't try.

Well we don't have a trip planned for next year yet...we may not even go back next year. My BIL invited us to go to Costa Rica with them in July/August. Well today we got off to a late start. Even though the wakeup call was set for 6:30 am and DS10 was up at 4 am…we still were 1 hr late for our reservation at Tusker House. He had a reservation for 8:05 am…however we did not arrive until 9 am. I was afraid that we would not be able to get seated, but they gave us a pager and we were called in less than 10 minutes. I have to say that I really liked this buffet; however DH thought the eggs were disgusting. The restaurant was a little busy, however it was not too overcrowded. Mickey shaped waffles are definitely the best!!! Now I made a touring plan on RideMax, however that went out the window when we arrived 1 hr late. A few picture from breakfast:

When we walked out of the resturant we saw this in the sky:

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1052.jpg

Our first stop after breakfast was Kilimanjaro Safari…we really enjoyed this. The standby time said 20 minutes, however we walked right on!! This was a great way to start the day! We took a lot of pictures, because a lot of animal were out this morning…however many of them were sleeping. My DH swore they were sedated. Here are a few pictures from the safari:

The boys found these on the way to the safari:

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1085.jpg

And the navigator himself:
http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1087.jpg

Next up…Expedition Everest! Oh no…DS5 is too short! Well DH and DS10 went on EE, while I took DS5 to DinoLand.

So we enter DinoLand and our first stop was Primeval Whirl…guess what…………..You got it: HE’S TOO SHORT!! So we head to Tricera Top Spin and he really enjoyed this ride.

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1092.jpg

I get a call from DH within about 10 – 15 minutes. They are done with the ride and looking to meet up with us. This is when I realize the Finding Nemo Show is getting ready to start. DS5 DID NOT want to go. He pouted and whined all the way to the theatre. Well needless to say he really enjoyed the show. He was smiling and in awe the whole time!! I thought that it was a really good show. They summed the movie up really well in 30 minutes. It was a really good break from the heat as well.

After the show we headed back to DinoLand and DH and DS10 rode Primeval whirl. Now the wait for this ride is much longer that the wait for EE?!? In order to pass sometime while we wait, we got a snack for DS. He chose the Edy’s ice cream bar…here is is enjoying it while we wait at PW.

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1097.jpg

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1096.jpg

The wait was taking much longer than we wanted to wait, so we went looking for the Boneyard…one the way we ran Pluto and Goofy and we HAD to stop!! DH called while we were waiting for pictures and autographs from Goofy and Pluto. He said he was hungry and he was still trying to figure the DDP out. We stop at Resturantosaurus so we can grab lunch. While he is eating I take the boys to the Boneyard as none of us are hungry yet:

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1099.jpg

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1102.jpg

The boys played in the Boneyard for about ½ hr, then we head back to find DH. DS10 gets a rootbeer float so we sat outside the restaurant while he enjoyed it…
Up next…Dinosaur, TTBAB, more snacks and food and the end to a wonderful day

Thanks for reading!

~Stephanie :)

Oooo, this sounds like a good one. Can't wait to hear about your first full day. We are going next August and driving too, so I enjoyed your driving report!
I may be driving to if my mother decides shes going she won't fly! LOL And looks like we will be there the same dates!

Stephanie,
IDK how we missed you! I know the night Tammy ran into you at Tutto I think it was we were just finished eating at Leceiller and ran into Tammy as she was on her way there! So when are you going back and where r u staying? We're going the 19th of August thru the 30th! at Pop of course! With free dining the value is the best bang for your buck! Now you are spoiled by SSR! lol! I've stayed there it's really nice! I've also stayed at The Beach Club and Old Key West numerous times! along with All start music and POP! This Nov/ Dec we are trying out Animal Kingdom Villas Kindani Village can't wait it's my first time ever going twice in one yr but i've been dying to get to disney around christmas!!
Well we don't have a trip planned for next year yet...we may not even go back next year. My BIL invited us to go to Costa Rica with them in July/August. Depending on finances we may have to pass...I am sure Disney would be more affordable. If we do go back, we will be booking at POP of course...I can't miss all of the fun again. I am sure our dates will cross again.
Well That sounds fun either way! Disney would definitely be more affordable but Costa Rica be alot nicer I bet! We book before we leave and if for some eason we can't go or something comes up we cancel and it's all refundable as long as you don't get that travel ins! Thats the best part of booking while your there. But I hope you and your fanily make it to one of the two places next summer! :goodvibes

Okay, so we left off with DS10 enjoying his Root Beer float right outside of Resturantosarus after DH had lunch.

After that we headed over to Dinosaur. The stand-by time was like 25 minutes, so we waited. There was the funniest CM running the lines at this ride. Every time he saw someone with a Birthday pin on, he would get really loud and have everyone in line singing “Happy Birthday to you….”, this must have happened like 6 times while we were in the line. No this is the first big ride that we really went on all together. Now that I think about it this is the first time we ever were in a theme park all together. Well it’s our turn load in the car, DH & DS5 are in the front and me & DS10 are in the back. Now my boys like Dinosaurs, so I thought that this ride would be pretty cool….boy was I WRONG!!! DS5 FREAKED!! Now he doesn’t like the dark…but he was dealing with it and he was enjoying the beginning of the ride with a little hesitation….but once the show the one dinosaur eating the other…HE LOOSES IT!!! Completely freaks out for the duration of the ride!! I was so glad the background noises were loud because it was able to drown him out. I felt SOOO bad…I wasn’t expecting it to be like that. Then the end of the ride did it for him….OMG the big dinosaur that looks like he is going to eat everyone made him completely loose it! He cried for about 10 minute after the ride was over….NEVER AGAIN!!

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1103.jpg
http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1104.jpg
While calming DS5 down, we head over to It’s Tough To Be A Bug…this can’t be so bad right? No drops or really dark places. We have been to 3-D movies before so this should be a piece of cake…WRONG AGAIN!!! DS5 hated this show...it was over for him when Hopper came out…I learned from this trip that anything BIG and MEAN…he did NOT like!! I had him take off his glasses, so that it would be so intense. I held on to him so that he would feel some kind of comfort. In my mind I an thinking that this is going to be a long week, because I don’t think I can take much more. I was getting frustrated, because I was trying to get him to understand that it was all fake and these were characters he had seen in a movie. He was not buying it. I tried to enjoy the show with a whining 5 yr old holding on to me…I was so happy when it was over…but when it feels like the bugs are crawling through the wood over our behinds….I thought he had jumped 10 ft in the air!!! DH was getting aggravated and it was turning out to be a VERY frustrating day!!!

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1107.jpg

BEFORE the show:

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1105.jpg
http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1106.jpg

We leave ITTBAB with DH fussing about the rest of the week…we are trying to decide whether we should just leave the park or not. While we are walking through Asia we have DS10 begging to go on Kali River Rapids…he had been asking about this since we left the Safari. We told him that we would ride it later when we were on our way out so that we weren’t walking around the park wet. We stop at a ice cream snack station, when DH asks me to get him a Strawberry bar…I try to use my credit and the system is down?!?! Great…glad we had cash.

We see CM setting up for Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade…so we decide to take a seat and grab some lunch while we wait for the parade. I stop at Yak Yeti Café and get honey chicken w/ white rice and a frozen lemonade. Then I get DS5 corn dog nuggets and apples from another place near where we were sitting. DS10 is not hungry and even after I push that he needs to eat, he still wants nothing. I make him drink some water and eat a bar I had in my bag. We had visitors while we were eating and DH thought is was funny to throw food by my feet for them to come and get it. This guy hung around and actually stood in DH’s face to wait for him to drop some food!! LOL!!

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1115.jpg

By the time we were finished eating we walked back towards Tusker House and stand in front of the misting fans …the parade it coming. We got a really good viewing spot and the boys had really good interaction with the character…I really missed some good shot (JESH ~ I need a new camera). Here are some photos of the parade:

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1148.jpg

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1156.jpg

After the parade DS10 kept asking about Camp Mickey & Minnie and Kali….I believe by this time the characters were gone from the camp, so we head to Kali.
We saw these fun little guys on the way:

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1160.jpg
http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1161.jpg

DH refuses to ride…he hates to be wet. DS5 was hesitant to go, but he came. I really like this ride and the fact that I had on flip flops was great…I HATE wet shoes. I was a great was to end our day in AK…we of course sat in the seat where we got soaked and the people across from us only had a few drops on them. When we were going through the bonfire scene, DS5 got really nervous thinking that it was real…he didn’t cry and he LOVED getting wet!

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1168.jpg

We head to the exit and we see the dance party in the front of the park…the boys join in on the party. They had a really good time and they both love to dance. This was really cute. Here are some picture of them partying:

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb28/sjohnson71103/Disney%20Trip%202009/DisneyTripDay1176.jpg

We head back to the resort…hung out for about 30 minutes and me and the boys head to the pool. It was not a bad walk once we figured out where we were going. We stop to get DS5 a life jacket, which was located right outside the pool. Then we go and enjoy the rest of our evening.
Around 8 pm they start setting up for a pool side movie. This night they were showing Lilo & Stitch…movies started at 8:30p, now I knew I was not going to be able to get them to leave and we still didn’t have dinner!?!? About 8:45pm DH calls and then comes and meets us by the pool.

Shortly after we go take a quick shower and head to DTD for dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express. We all get pizzas…we were going to take it back to the room, but we decide to eat there. The food was awesome. I have to agree with almost all the reviews in saying that this is a GREAT meal for a CS credit!!

After dinner, we head back to the room…and we are all sleep within the hour!! We had a very long day and we were in need of some rest.

Things I enjoyed most about AK:
• Breakfast at Tusker House
• Nemo
• Kali
• Parade
• Kilimanjaro Safari
Not to miss next trip:
• Expedition Everest (me)
• Camp Mickey & Minnie
• Walking trails to see Tree of Life up close
• Lion King show

UP NEXT ~ Day 2…will we make it to MK by Rope Drop??

Awww, sorry that your Animal Kingdom day started out rough! I'm glad you ended the night well though. Yeah, Definitely put Camp Minnie Mickey on your to do list for next time, we saw so many characters over there within the matter of about an hour. My dd5 was too short for Dinosaur in May, but when we go back in August she'll be tall enough and she wants to go on. I hope she likes it. She did like It's tough to be a bug, so hopefully she'll like Dinosaur because I LOVED it.

The poolside movie sound great!!

So, I have a question for you! What did you think of the weather. Next August will be our first time going over the summer. We went in May, and then in the past we've been to Florida in February and March, so I have no idea what i'm getting into. Will you go back again during the same time?

Everyone looks like they are having so much fun....especially the kids...there is nothing like the first trip to Disney.

I always miss the parade at AK .....I am going to put that on my must do list this time around....I hope my kiddos get some good character interaction....

The movie by the pool sounds like a great way to wind down the evening along with some touring DTD.....

Yeah I didn't know what I was in for...a Rookie's mistake! :lmao: I enjoyed the meal...although I thought the rice was overcooked and I wish I would have had noodles. Knowing how my son was this year, we will do Camp Mickey & Minnie...he LOVED the characters!! The movie by the pool was great...I just have to remember to have dinner before we go.

Now I don't have much of a problem with the heat, so to me it wasn't that bad...stayed in the low-mid 90's. I didn't like the rain though...out of the 7 days we were there it rained like 5. Mostly in the evening though. We still were about to enjoy the parks though.

WPE was actually empty when we went...but we didn't make it there until like 9 or 9:30pm. The pizza was excellent though!

Loving your report. It is the same time we go next year so I am checking out the weather as well!!! Keep it coming!

The weather was not too bad...it was hot some days, but a little misting fan and the AC in the rides did the trick...if it didn't rain it would have been perfect. I would go around the same time again next year.

Oh, Ok, thanks for the weather update!! I'll tolerate the rain, I know it usually rains everyday for a little while during those months. Did the rain last for a few hours or was it more like a half hour/ and hour? Thanks

I know I have been MIA from my TR for a few days...I promise I will update tonight. I am getting ready to clean out the refridgerator so I can go grocery shopping today. Once we are all settled back in this evening I will move on to Day 2 of our trip!

Here are a few pictures of the boys from the 1st week of school:

A couple of the days it rained for a few hours...however there were a few with no rain at all! It was tolerable, I just wish we would have had the waterpark option...then we would have just spent the time at DQ...a little note for next time!

So I set the alarm to go off at 7 am…it did and I also received a wake up all from Mickey as well. I made a pot of coffee and showered. Well the night before DS10 complained that his feet were hurting from his sneakers, and THAT WAS ALL WE BROUGHT?!?!? OH NO!!! :sad2: What am I going to do?? Why didn’t I get them Crocs while I was at the outlet before we left home?? So I send Tammy (OneTreeHillAddict) a text to see if she knew where I could get them off of the Disney property…she was so funny in saying that once they get to Orlando they don’t leave the property. :rotfl: So I went to the age old phone book and looked up Crocs….and there you have it. I wrote down the address, me and DS10 plug it into the GPS and we were off. The mall was like 15 minutes away…they had a little kiosk in the mall :thumbsup2. I purchased a pair for both of the boys and back to the resort we went.

I called DH to see if him and DS5 were dressed and ready to go…of course they weren’t ?!?! :scared1: When we make it back to the resort, DS5 is dressed but now we are waiting for DH to get dressed. I just knew that me leaving them would give them time enough to get dressed…I guess not. Well we have missed Rope Drop and breakfast and at the rate we are going we may not even make lunch!!! After about 20 minutes we were ready to go…

AHHHH...we are here!! YEAH!! :yay:

We decided after parking that we would take the ferry boat over to MK….I could not believe how DEAD it was. There were only about 15 people waiting for the boat including us?!?! We were actually close enough in the parking lot that we didn’t need to take the tram to the TTC.

This is one of my favorite pictures:

The ride to the park was wonderful…relaxing and looking at the Castle in the distance was magical. MK is my FAVORITE park…it the only park the we had been to before this trip. I just love it…magic EVERYWHERE. I could walk around MK , eat and shop all day.

I am sooooo happy:

Waiting for me while I get my bag checked:

So enough with the photo show! :lmao: We decided to eat lunch at Casey’s Corner, since it was right on Main Street and I read great reviews about it on the boards. DH and I had a Hot Dog and fries, the boys both got corn dog nuggets with fries. The cheese sauce for the fries was the BOMB!!! I loved it…the boys enjoys it too, DH just stuck with ketchup. For desserts we got Cracker Jacks for the boys and brownies for the two of us…the brownies were disgusting…so needless to say we through them out.

After leaving Casey’s Corner we headed over to Adventureland and we met up with this guy:

DS5 had to stop for a picture, by now I think DS10 was over the character interaction. He just wanted to get on some rides. Of course as soon as we get to the front of the line Rafiki needs a break??!! But it wasn’t too long though, long enough for them to go in walk past each other while the new Rafiki came out. After getting his signature and picture with Rafiki, we moved on to ride Aladdin.

Now DS5 LOVES these kinds of rides and he was loving the fact that we was making DH and DS10 nauseous by making the the carpet moved up and down really fast. We enjoyed it and it was a great start to our day. I had already made up my mind going in that I was not going to make DS5 do anything that he did not want to do…

We went to ride Jungle Cruise and the standby wait time was like 10 minutes. I knew from the reviews on this board that the Skipper could make or break this ride. Needless to say our Skipper was VERY boring…she had the CORNIEST jokes you could imagine. And to top it all off there was person on the ride that was trying to be funnier than the Skipper…we were so ready for this ride to be over. This is definitely one that we can skip on our next trip.

I have some pictures from the cruise...however none of them are good, so I am not going to post them...Sorry. :confused3

Stay tuned for Part II of MK…will DS5 survive Pirates??

Hi Stephanie,

That is too bad about Jahil not liking the two rides at AK, but I'm glad the parade was great and the boys had fun :thumbsup2

Here's hoping he is happy w/ the rest of the rides....don't feel too bad, being your first trip, you have to test the waters and really get a feel for what works and what doesn't....

Good score on the Crocs...hope they help!

I am loving your pictures...everyone is so photogenic...the expressions on Jeffery's face in front of PH are priceless.

And you, my dear...you have such a beautiful face...I love seeing you and putting your face w/ the name :goodvibes

and no worries on the not making rop-drop thing....I always have high hopes and we'd be lucky to get 2 out of 8 days....;)

looking forward to more!

and thanks for visiting me on my BLOG!

Hi Stephanie! I can't believe I missed the start of your TR! UGH...well I'm here now!

Sorry it got off to a rocky start at AK....be patient! Glad you enjoyed Kali and Nemo....definitely try to hit the Lion King show next time. It's fantastic!

Your boys are so handsome! Love their big smiles!! And I'm so glad you posted some pics of yourself..it's nice to put a name with a face!

I can see the excitement in your smile in the pic of the whole family in front of the castle! :woohoo:

Sorry you didn't like the Jungle Cruise..it's one of my faves, but the skipper is the KEY. The jokes are always corny (LOL! that's what I love :lovestruc) but you need a skipper who can sell it!

Can't wait to hear more! :goodvibes

Hey Julie...thanks so much for the compliments!! :flower3:

The crocs were the best thing, we only had a problem with that the strap was rubbing the back of Jeffery's heel...but thanks to my fellow Disers, I was armed with moleskin!!! :woohoo:

I am loving your blog by the way!
