We're planning to go to Disneyland next year by eurotunnel (hopefully using the tesco clubcard vouchers). Are there many places to stop en-route from Calais to Disneyland? Is there anything similar to our british services? We'll be travelling with a couple of children and a nine month old baby so will probably need to stop.

Thanks in advance.

Frequent stops :thumbsup2

Some with full services, and some simply rest areas with picnic tables and toilets. The vanilla coffee from the coffee machines is lush!

Thanks for the info. Any recommendations? I've done a google search but can't find anything specific.

The vanilla coffee does sound nice!!

Grrr. typed a really long reply and computer froze. Basicallly, services or rest area every 20kms, all with loos. The rest area loos aren't always very nice, normally just a picnic area with loos only, sometimes a coffee stand.

Main services all much of the same, hot and cold food, coffee bar, shop with sarnies and crisps, choc etc. Coffee from machines is very good and quite cheap.

Food is better than British services, unsurprisingly. There's plenty of stopping places as mentioned, make sure you check what is available on the signs on the motorway, so that you get somewhere with food if you want it.

The areas are known as Aires so you will see regular signs for Aire and then its name.

As already mentioned some are only very small pull in areas with toilets whereas others are much larger. If you do a route planner from AA or similar it will show some on it and these tend to be the larger ones.

I really appreciate all the useful advice. I'll do a bit more investigation and see what I can find. Thanks.

I'd recommend stopping at one with a petrol station, even if you don't need it - that way you get proper toilets! We once stopped at one that was just a picnic stop and there were no toilets, just one of the huts with holes in the ground! DH thought it was hilarious that I came running back to the car and insisted we drive to the next proper one :lmao:
