I am glad you liked the food! Katharina and I will be eating at SciFi soon (just a bit over a month now!) and there are so many not so good reviews. Since we won't have a toddler with us, I think we will avoid the issues you had! :goodvibes

I love how he was so excited/ nervous about meeting his car friends LOL! The burgers and shakes at Sci Fi are just heaven, aren't they? :cloud9:
To answer your question, we will be there from 12/23- 12/27 staying at the BCV. I am a little nervous about our flight out Wed- my inlaws were supposed to fly out today and their flight got cancelled :scared: I guess there's still problems from that big Northeast Storm!!!

I'm with Henry. I like all the Toy Story stuff, and I am going to be 'simply giddy' when the new movie comes out in June.

Great pictures. I am finally able to put school behind me and think about he trip, so I am ready to go! :cool1:

I am really excited about the new movie too! Hmmm....I am wondering if that could be Henry's first movie in a theater...!

:dance3: on being DONE with school and focusing on the trip!! Do you guys have a touring plan in place, or are you just going to go with the flow?

How cute is it that Henry is looking forward to jumping on the beds???

Tell Joe your DIS board fans would like a little more enthusiasm from him.

Sci Fi does have great burgers and shakes!!! That was so nice of the waiter to bring out the caramel corn in the nifty cup for Henry.

:rotfl: He asks every single day to jump on our bed! When I told him no again today, he said "Mahee's house?" Such a goof! :cutie:

I will tell that to Joe!!! I wonder if he'll just roll his eyes or come up with something wacky...

We have gotten quite a bit of use out of that cup too, Henry really likes it and it has a nice big straw which is handy for Henry.

Great updates. Henry looked very excited to meet his buddies. My girls were not that excited with Sci-Fi either. But the apple crisp there is yummy!! We got Cayley that pig for Christmas-to add to her pig "collection"

I think I've seen pics of that apple crisp, and yes, it did look delicious! I think 50's has a good apple crisp too that I just might have to stuff down in 6 days!

I bet Cayley is going to love that pig! He's so soft and cute. :goodvibes

Brook, I laughed outloud at Joe's pic with the umbrella!!!:lmao: He so wasn't feeling it......but loved it anyways that he just walked away!!!!

Sorry that Sci Fi wasn't as good as you were hoping for! But sounds like you made the best of things!! And the new cup is cool!! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear more!

Joe will act all silly and goofy when the camera is down and no one's around, the second I bring out the camera-he's not playing. :rotfl2: I need to be more sneaky...:scratchin ;)

oh how I know what you mean about a "squirmy" lunch, toddlers are not patient people. It's even worse in a small booth with slow service, minutes feel like hours. Tonight we went to PF Changs and in the middle of all of us eating our entrees DD exclaimed "MOMMY, ME DONE!" and hopped out of her booster seat lol So we all stuffed whatever we could in our faces as I gave her little toys and a secret xmas cookie I smuggled in my purse from home to keep her occupied while we dealt with our bill and wrapped up our food. Time is the enemy when dining out with toddlers. I was pretty proud of her though, she behaved well for the whole time and it's not really a kid restaurant IMO She even ate lo mein and chicken lettuce wraps!

I loved the pic of Joe at the singing in the rain umbrella! I try to get my DH to pose for pics like that too and he won't! I think it's so sweet that Joe did it even if it wasn't very enthusiastic lol

btw thanks for the compliment about DD, her xmas pics came out great, she's finally cooperative when it comes to getting pics done. Henry and my DD are very close in age, she's a sept 2007 baby too!

PF Changs lettuce wraps.....drool. Oh how I love thee! We love to eat there, Henry eats VERY well there, he seems to love Asian food and Mexican. Which we don't mind a bit because we love it too! ;) But, you are very, very right about the toddler/time thing - we have had that happen more than once in the middle of a meal. And trying to convince them to sit still is a whole ordeal. I try to bring along snacks/treats and toys too in hopes to distract him!

Isn't this age fun? I am really loving it! He has his share of meltdowns, and some things are a big challenge, but overall, it's amazing to watch them learn every single day!! I am amazed at the sentences he is forming!

Awww! That is awesome that Henry got a license and caramel corn in the glow in the dark cup! :thumbsup2 Was that just something they did for you?

We have ate here twice with Aaron and neither time did he get a license or corn, oh well.

Sorry to hear you guys were all crammed in a row, I know those aren't the biggest of accommodations even for small people! The first time we ate there Aaron was in a high chair right outside the car so that was nice, but felt weird.

Isn't TSM sooo fun!:thumbsup2

I am not sure about the license and the cup...I have read that others have gotten the cup too (on other TRs), but not sure if it's every table, or just random?

Did you sit in the front row of a car with Aaron? I think a lot of times they just give the license to the child in the front row of the car, since it's like he's driving.

We debated on doing the high chair outside of the car too, but like you said, it would have felt weird, and kinda awkward overall. Next time, we'll just split into more than one row. I'll eat solo, I don't mind!

TSM is just awesome! That queue is so cool. I hope my in-laws enjoy it as much as I do!

you are a great photographer. Those TSM pics are pro quality fo sho.

sorry about Sci-Fi. At least you remembered the food! Also, The server probably felt bad and got you that special treat:thumbsup2

Wow, thanks Jordan! Our camera does pretty nice work, I am really glad we splurged on it. And we both like to try and find some unique things/angles to snap pictures of.

I was wondering about that, with the slow service, if that is why we got the caramel corn. It makes sense, he saw how squirmy Henry was I'm sure!

Wow I am off the net for two days and there are loads of updates!!!

Love the pics of PHD and Cars, Henry looks like he is having so much fun.

 I'm desperately trying to get the report done before my next trip coming up so quickly...so lots of updates! I'll try to get one done today too.

Henry really was having a great time with DHS - it seems like each time we go back to that park, I like it more since Henry is really into things there, it's fun to live it through him.

I love the intensity on Henry's face! :rotfl:

He was very serious about that license! ;)

I am glad you liked the food! Katharina and I will be eating at SciFi soon (just a bit over a month now!) and there are so many not so good reviews. Since we won't have a toddler with us, I think we will avoid the issues you had! :goodvibes

:lmao: Ya, I think you guys will be JUST fine! Joe and I ate there on our honeymoon and we weren't overly impressed, but I think we both had steak there. Then I kept reading rave reviews about the onion rings, cheeseburgers and shakes. So those reviews, plus cars that we though Henry would just love, we thought we'd give it a try again...this time we really enjoyed the food but couldn't enjoy the atmosphere as much! Are you two going to get the burgers?

Oh bummer - I bet our paths won't ever meet up since we get in on the 26th....but, I hope you have a VERY magical trip! Christmas at Disney World....:cloud9: And, ah, the BCV....it looks so, so pretty! We'll be by to check out the Christmas decorations at some point I'm sure. :goodvibes

That is just awful about the flight being canceled!! Did the airline tell them when they think they will be flying again?

If you are interested in the video we took from this past trip, here they are!

I am NOT a very good videographer, plus, half the time I'm not fully paying attention to what is on screen-I'm either watching Henry or what I'm actually taping...:rolleyes1 so, I apologize in advance for shaky camera, weird angles, etc! :goodvibes

I thought we had video of Henry meeting Mater & McQueen, but we don't! We just have us walking away. I must have either not pushed the record button hard enough, or I just turned it off for the actual meeting. :confused3 But, here is Henry saying good-bye to his buddies:

I was thinking, when reading your updates, that it is special enough experiencing WDW with your loved one, but it must be even more special when you are experiencing it with your child as to see their face light up and see how excited they get is just priceless :)

Yes, we are thinking of getting a burger or a sandwich. Unfortunately Katharina can't eat onions, she would have loved the onion rings. I used to hate onions when I was little, but now I like them, but Katharina always loved then and now she has an intolerance against them. So obviously I won't be ordering onion rings either! But fortunately we have found out that SciFi can make dairy free milk shakes, so she won't have to miss out on that. :cool1:

Great Update! Henry looks much happier in TSM then he does at lunch. Ugghh - It's no fun to be squished while you are eating, but those burgers and shakes do look so good.

I love your pictures of TSM - nice job! You got some unique shots. so far I could only watch one Youtube video because I really need to get ready for work. It was Henry with the Cars characters. How cute. He really is adorable!

I love the videos! Henry is so much fun! I want to do a lot more filming of the girls this trip. There's just too much to keep up with - pictures, filming, and actually just watching them in action.

We're looking forward to meeting you guys soon. I'm going to PM you our cell numbers in case there is any change in plans or you need to get in touch with us for anything.

Well, my inlaws are (hopefully) getting on a flight out of Rochester tonight, which is over an hour away from us. They were lucky they were able to get on that flight, there were only 2 seats left! And the flight out is later for them so basically they are missing out on the first 2 days of their trip which is too bad for them!!!
As long as our plane is at the airport tomorrow morning, we should be OK- but I will be nervous til I'm actually on the plane b/c that's just how I am :rotfl: I haven't watched the videos yet but will later.. OH and if I happen to see a couple with an adorable little boy with a cars shirt on, maybe I'll get up the nerve to say hello! :goodvibes We'll be at the AK on 12/27 (our last 1/2 day) so we'll see!

That is very, very true! Our Disneymoon was wonderful, and we do look forward to another adults-only trip at some point, but, seeing things through the eyes of your child is truly magical. It's a lot of fun to see what they get excited about - like ducks and water features. :goodvibes

Poor Katharina, I think it would be so hard not to be able to eat what you like...but I suppose you do get used to it - and the after affects of eating something you don't handle well probably far outweighs the enjoyment of eating it!

That is awesome that they make dairy free milk shakes! It always amazes me how accommodating Disney is. :thumbsup2

The lunch was pretty interesting. Being squished + a squirmy toddler...:headache: But we made the best out of it, and the food helped make up for it all. We truly thought Henry would love it there with all the cars and the movie clips, but he was just not overly interested!

That Cars clip cracks me up, that was after our second time through - and he asked for "more". :rotfl: That's just like him!

I love the videos! Henry is so much fun! I want to do a lot more filming of the girls this trip. There's just too much to keep up with - pictures, filming, and actually just watching them in action.

I always have a goal to do more filming, and this is probably the most we have ever gotten on a single trip. The still camera doesn't leave my neck very often, but the video camera remains forgotten and alone in the bag! :rotfl: Exactly for the reasons you stated, it's so much to keep up with. Of course shortly after we purchased our current camera they came out with a new one that does nice video... It would be very handy to have 2-in-1!

I got your PM! I will reply back with Joe's cell number which we are using for the trip. We are very excited to meet you!!! We purchased Bella a little Marie plush, do you think she will like that? We got Brooklynn a Princess Tiana t-shirt, I wasn't sure what size, so I aimed big, I think it's a 4/5, or XS from the Disney store. Also, do you know if she likes/knows who Sponge Bob Square Pants is? I know it's not Disney, but at the Mall of America the indoor theme park is called Nickelodeon Universe, so there are tons of Sponge Bob things - we had Henry's birthday party there and received about 7 too many little gift bags from them! Inside is some hard candy, a frisbee and a little plush key chain thing - all Sponge Bob. Let me know what you think on these things.

Hopefully getting a flight, eh? Eek...I will hope along with you! What an awful mess. Are they having to pay for their hotel even though they missed a night? I sure hope not...!

I understand about being nervous until you are on your flight-I would be the exact same way!

And I think I'm going to be....I just looked at the upcoming weather for MN. :sad2::sad2::sad2: :headache:

The shirt should be fine. She knows of Spongebob from her friends, but she doesn't have any kind of Spongebob anything. Marie Kitty will go straight into Bella's mouth, I imagine. That's where everything goes!

We have a little bag for Henry, too. I hope they'll be awake long enough to get to play together a little. They may zonk out before fireworks, though.

I decided to get a cheap plastic tablecloth (the kind with the backing) for the beach. The thought of carrying a blanket to Kona was less than appealing, so I bought a $5.00 tablecloth which is compact in its package and then can just be thrown away at the end of the night. I'm happier with that plan than the blanket plan. Hopefully, Jill will have time to make a large LGMH before we leave, too, although I don't really know how we'll get it to stand up unless we can find some kind of stick.

We feel like we already know Henry. He'll probably wonder who in the heck these strangers are who start talking to him like they know him. :)

We left off with leaving DHS, apparently for a nap that neither Joe or I remember...we must have zonked out in seconds when we got back to the room!

What I do know is that we ended up back at DHS

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-5/IMG3558/646558818_BXaKG-M.jpg

and had our hopes set on catching LMA. We were cutting it very close. We hustled it as fast as possible through the park.

But my picture has the time stamp of 3:21. :confused3

We made it to the show with just a minute or two to spare. On the way we discussed sitting in the very front section that is reserved for wheelchairs - because of Joe's eye condition, we can sit there if we choose to, so he can see things.

But, instead we chose to just sit wherever the crowd led us, Joe has seen the show, and he could use his binoculars. We also felt more comfortable sitting further away with Henry, thinking he may get a tad scared of the explosions.

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-5/IMG3560/646558770_q2jpt-M.jpg

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-5/IMG3562/646554594_Tq3ea-M.jpg

Seriously. It was so amazingly HOT. I remember sitting there with the fan blowing on me, dripping.

And Henry, well...

Only at Disney World.

Henry loved, loved, loved this! It has become a "must do" on our list. I am certain after a few more showings of it, I will graciously allow the boys to attend the show and I'll go hang out at the Animator's Studio...:rolleyes1

After the show we ventured to the other side of the park to take our turns on RnRC - I believe we had grabbed FPs before we left for our supposed nap.

Hi Brook!!!!

I cheated and used your links to get caught up.

The dessert party looked fabulous. I'm with Joe on the donut holes, just can't get enough. That little brule cup would have found it's way into my bag.:lmao:
You did get some good pictures of the fireworks.

Plus, you got some not-so-common shots of DHS. I love it! I really tried to do that on my trip too. Sorry about the Sci-Fi squish. At least you liked the food.

I see you are only 3 days away from your Christmas trip! I hope you have as good a time as I had. I can't wait to see that TR!

Eeek, I don't like that DVC wouldn't give them their points back. Makes me nervous about the 26th...yep, we are supposed to get NAILED with a big storm, 12-20 inches they say.... Perhaps by the time we fly out, 1:30ish, most things will be cleared up...one can hope, right?

Love the updates, Brook, and the videos are great. Sorry Henry didn't seem to keen on "Sci Fi" and sittinig between you guys (we too loved our meal there).

Thanks!!! :goodvibes Ya, Henry wasn't all that into Sci-Fi. We thought he would love it! I bet when he gets a bit older and can sit still easier he will enjoy it more.

Thanks for the input on the gifts! :thumbsup2 I figured the Marie would become a chewy toy. :rotfl: That is just how Henry was too when he was her age. It's soft, so it will work well. ;) And sounds good on the Sponge Bob stuff, I'll still give it to her, and if she doesn't like it, she can re-gift it to a friend!

I hope they do stay awake long enough to play together! Henry has stayed up until about 11 pm before at Disney, but he was just exhausted. I think with a new friend he will be more easily distracted and not realize how tired he is though.

That is a GREAT idea about the tablecloth! So much easier to transport!! I'll think about the stick...maybe there is something I can borrow from our room...a lamp stand? Think AKV would mind if I borrowed it?! ;) Perhaps it could be a LGMH sign board, the type that people put over their heads and wear to advertise a business? That would also make for some good TR fodder...:rotfl2:

It will be so much fun to meet your crew face-to-face! I feel like I know the girls too, I remember reading about Brooklynn when she was Bella's age, Henry was just brand-new and I was amazed at seeing her do the things she was doing, wondering when Henry would get there. Now that he's well past all those baby stages, I wonder where time went! Kinda ironic!

That's what the links are for! :thumbsup2 I know it's near impossible to stay caught up on all TRs at all times - I'm glad the links provide a quick easy way to read. :goodvibes

The little creme brulee cup was very cute. I am sure they get swiped quite often....!

3 days, I can't believe it! We have a ton left to do, but not as much as we normally do right before a trip, so I feel so much more relaxed about it all.

I remember melting away watching LMA too. My dad and I left before the end of the show since we couldn't take it anymore. And they were barely doing anything during the show since a lot of the stuff wasn't safe enough that day.

Great updates Brook!! I tell you, your SciFi experience sounds oddly familiar ;) I wonder if it's something about that place!

I'm hoping to take Ryan to see Lights, Motor, Action next month. It's not my favorite either, but I think he'll enjoy it!!!

I like how you can see the hat and ToT from way up there!

I began to slowly melt.

Seriously. It was so amazingly HOT. I remember sitting there with the fan blowing on me, dripping.

Henry loved, loved, loved this! It has become a "must do" on our list. I am certain after a few more showings of it, I will graciously allow the boys to attend the show and I'll go hang out at the Animator's Studio...:rolleyes1

Great minds think alike! I also liked how you could see the skyline of HS and even the Swan/Dolphin! Except I had a pole in my view and our show got rained out! I have yet to see the whole show! But I do like your idea of just hanging at the Animator's studio while the boys watch the cars.

Wow! You can see the sticky humidity on your skin!

:goodvibes Thanks! I usually will upload a whole bunch at one time. I have some video from church I want to get up on there too - Henry's performance during the Christmas play.

I remember melting away watching LMA too. My dad and I left before the end of the show since we couldn't take it anymore. And they were barely doing anything during the show since a lot of the stuff wasn't safe enough that day.

Wow, it must have been REALLY hot for them to not be able to do certain things due to the heat! I probably would have left too...not fun at all.

Interesting about your SciFi experience, have you written about that yet? You'd think it would be pretty attractive to little ones, cars + giant TV!

I bet Ryan will love LMA!

I didn't even notice the Swolphin back there!! Very cool!

I just made the "big to do list" for the trip, and it didn't include finishing this, from the looks of it...I better keep rolling on this while I have a free minute! :goodvibes

We left off having a drink break at the little food court area, and Joe had just agreed to see Beauty & the Beast. This would be a first for us!

It had cooled down by quite a bit and it looked like it was going to rain, so we parked the stroller and covered it with the little plastic cover we have, and in we went!

We all really enjoyed this show, I think Joe liked it more than he thought he would.

And sure enough, while we were watching the show it did rain-just a bit, enough to cool things down a bit more and turn the hot sticky day into a beautiful evening.

Next we took turns on RnRC. The FP return line was pretty long, but I headed in anyway and had an awesome ride! I love that roller coaster, I scream the entire way through...Joe is very much looking forward to riding with me next week so he can laugh at me screaming...

While Joe went on, Henry and I scoped out a bench and people watched.

And then I watched people get Mickey Bars at a cart across the street from me.

Then I decided we needed one. ::yes::

Henry didn't protest.

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-5/IMG3634/646551950_AJfgn-M.jpg

And while I don't have a picture of evidence, Henry managed to get Mickey Bar on his toes. I remember going through several wipes cleaning him up!

It was a lovely moment with my little boy. Sitting on a bench at DHS, eating a Mickey Bar, laughing at how much he managed to get all over him, and trying to keep him somewhat neat all the while trying to keep ME somewhat neat...I think a Mickey Bar is a most excellent way to pass the time!

I loved this chick's hair. So much that yes, I took a picture of it!

It was around here Joe mentioned he was ready for dinner. I had sorta set my sights on eating dinner outside the park, but he suggested Pizza Planet.

We ate at Pizza Planet on our Disneymoon, but hadn't been back since. On the November 2008 trip we both had "stomach issues" that trip, and I very much remember just the smell of Pizza Planet as we walked past being horrible.

When Joe suggested it, I internally recoiled because I related the food to the feeling I had in November 2008. I couldn't recall our experience from our Disneymoon.

Forcing myself to be flexible, I agreed - I wasn't terribly hungry, but let's go for it!

And every once in a while he does "milk". Ahhhh, another sign of growing up!

At the Star Tours entrance we got a Baby Swap pass and Henry got a "Happy Birthday" Mickey sticker. :goodvibes

Star Tours was a walk-on, love that! A fun ride as always!

We browsed the gift shop looking for these:

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Disney-January-2009/IMG7357Small/561026901_bTyX2-M.jpg

I had spied these back in January, but didn't buy them and regretted it. They would make for an EXCELLENT costume.

I looked high and low, but no Princess Leia hairmuffs were to be found....so I asked a CM about them.

I picked the Biggest Star Wars Nerd CM I think possible. He knew exactly what product I was looking for, apologized that they no longer had it, but suggested a Star Wars gear website I could go to for them.

Talk about service!

However, honestly, I don't need Princess Leia hairmuffs that badly ...so, they were never purchased.

However, they DID have one other item I had found in January that I also regretted not buying. A t-shirt that I know my BIL would just love, it would make a perfect Christmas gift...and it did! We had Christmas with them last Saturday and he laughed and really likes it. :thumbsup2 (picture at the end of the day, sorry!)

While we browsed the gift shop Henry was getting wild. He was laughing and shrieking over everything. He gets this way when he's getting really tired, he's just goofy! It was hilarious!

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-5/IMG3675/646554151_GwdpK-M.jpg

We were on our way out when he was doing something silly again, so I tried to snap a picture

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-5/IMG3677/646554131_9aGZJ-M.jpg

And that is when I saw the card in his hand - we were just barely outside the doors. :scared1:

I quickly bent down and took the card from him, he had totally swiped a little Jedi Knight card from some display in the store! :scared1::scared1:

Then I flipped the card over and saw the name on the card, "Juan."

For some bizarre reason this struck Joe and I as really, really funny. We started to laugh, which just made Henry laugh and shriek more and he tried to get the card back from me since he saw that is what we were laughing over...he thought it was a game! :rotfl:

I tried to get our little klepto to pose with the card, but he was more interested in SUGAR (aka caramel corn) - just what he needed.

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-5/IMG3678/646552172_esSaK-M.jpg

Needless to say, we went back into the store and motioned to the Star Wars Nerd CM that our little one had swiped this card and we were putting it back on the shelf...he just looked at us like:  :rotfl:

We were still laughing about this, and calling Henry Juan, when he ripped out one of his goat bleats. "Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Hence the TR title..."Juan says 'BAAAA!'"

Probably not nearly as funny to you as it was to us in the moment though!

After our adventure at the gift shop we decided to head out of the park. We slowly walking to the front, taking fun night pictures along the way...

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-5/IMG3681/646555821_dD4dZ-M.jpg

We saw this view and we both thought it was very pretty!

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-5/IMG3682/646555795_VSgrc-M.jpg

All the neon creates such a cool atmosphere in the park at night.

Continued from previous post

Then Joe suggested we get some at the front of the park, and he thought it would be fun to have Henry's Mickey spinner going in the pictures for an added affect.

Of course Henry wanted no business in that, he was once again engrossed in the caramel corn.

So Joe did it!

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-5/IMG3694/646556671_LtGjo-M.jpg

Turned out pretty cool!

Then it was my turn. Joe had a harder time keeping the camera still to get a clear shot. He tweaked with a couple settings then aimed...this is what he got:

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-5/IMG3697/646556578_D8zfH-M.jpg

I like to call it my "Come on Honey, you are taking too long, I'm standing here in the middle of the street with a Mickey Spinner...just take the picture!" picture. ;)

Obviously, the flash went off, so he tried again:

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-5/IMG3696/646556614_vvPBq-M.jpg
Still a bit blurry, but it works!

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-5/IMG3698/646556567_V3khF-M.jpg

We ducked into a shop. I found these and remembered that someone on my PTR had asked for pictures of them.

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-5/IMG3699/646556563_F2YqH-M.jpg

A few months late. I apologize to whomever it was! :flower3:

I even took a UPC pic for you in case you wanted to order them!

We enjoyed our browsing, but didn't buy anything and soon were back on the streets.

The last park is always hard to leave on a trip, isn't it???

As we were walking toward the bus, the Fantasmic fireworks went off!

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-5/IMG3712/646558277_E75sm-M.jpg

Our bus arrived and we had a VERY fun ride back. Our driver did Disney trivia all the way home and was just one of those CMs who you know loves their job! It was a wonderful way to end our last full day.

Back at the room we worked on packing, I took the souvie pic

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-5/IMG3718/646558214_v54NA-M.jpg

And soon we were fast asleep.

Up next: Our last few Disney hours

That one brought a tear to my eye.

LAM looks fun, but with the infernal heat of June, we never made it over
there.

The Juan story had me :rotfl: and :lmao:!

Great T-Shirt as well.

Your camera does an awesome job in low light and you did an awesome job holding it steady. (That is NOT easy to do!)

Merry Christmas up there! Hope you don't get too much snow. We are under a Thunder storm / Tornado watch here. Always fun at Christmas time. Can't wait to see how the next trip goes!

We've been up high and had that rooftop view at LMA a couple of times, too. Makes for interesting pictures.

I'm glad Henry enjoyed Beauty and the Beast. We didn't see it in October, so maybe we will on this trip. Our guys don't balk too much at seeing it, since it's a chance to sit down.

The night lights at Hollywood Studios are cool. Drew's friend that is down there now has been texting him and sending pictures. She was in Hollywood yesterday and sent a picture of the tree out front. It was exciting knowing that we'd be there soon.

At least in your 'Hurry up and take a picture' picture, you are still smiling. :)

One of our favorite fun places to eat is Pizza Planet. I like the fact that they have special cups for sale for cheap, so we almost always get one or two.

I'm making progress on my packing. I did my last store run today, which wasn't much. We're going to eat what's in the refrigerator and cabinets for the rest of the week and leave little behind.

See ya soon!

Brooke... I have loved all your updates as you hurry before the next trip. I love seeing HS at night, it has been a while for us to be there that late.

I hope your weather cooperates.... and that traveling to WDW is stress free, with a fantastic amount of fun. I look forward to the FB and Twitter updates!

Merry Christmas!

Hmm...I might have been in the group that asked you to take pictures of the Halloween bags and what's funny is I actually bought the orange one!! My DS used in during our MNSSHP since it was a lot more sturdy and it was loaded, let me tell ya! :thumbsup2

I'm really hoping the weather will cooperate for you guys travelling!

Merry Christmas,

Yep! I have been on a mission, must get this report DONE before we leave...so that means today since we are headed out this evening for the start of traveling between relatives homes celebrating Christmas. :goodvibes

It was probably a good move to skip LMA when it's that hot-it was a tad miserable dripping up in those stands!

Isn't that t-shirt awesome? I knew my BIL would get a kick out of it - he's in a band, so he appreciates crazy shirts to wear on stage.

Thank you for the compliments on the pictures! I should sometime post how many BLURRY pictures we take before we get a clean one... I usually end up holding my breath in attempts to minimize the blur even more.

Merry Christmas to you and the rest of the Biscuit clan as well! We are under a blizzard warning here - but so far things aren't too bad, just about 4 inches overnight. Blah on the thunder storm/tornado watch. I will be sure to pray for you and safe travels. Hopefully the storm just completely dies down like it seems ours has!

We've been up high and had that rooftop view at LMA a couple of times, too. Makes for interesting pictures.

I am thinking we'll hit up B&B this trip too, Joe even suggested it yesterday. I think the family will really enjoy it.

I haven't seen the DHS tree ever! Not even in pictures! I'm kinda excited to keep it a secret/unknown for me....it will be a surprise in just a few days! I'm going to go picture nuts I'm sure.

Good point on me still smiling! :rotfl:

I didn't even see the special cups at Pizza Planet! I'll have to spy that out when we eat there again. I am thinking it might become our first choice for DHS CS with my pizza fiend husband.

Sounds like you are making very good progress on getting ready to go! We are too. I'll be updating my PTR for the last time today. The packing is almost done-just everyday type toiletries have to go in, a bit of cleaning still has to be done and some New Orleans notes put into the PassPorter. Otherwise DONE. :yay:

DHS is so neat at night...all the parks have their own flair at night, but I really enjoy the neon and architecture of DHS, so I think it's one of my favorites with how it glows!

Thank you for the well wishes on the travel. I'll be updating my PTR soon about all that - but so far, so good! :thumbsup2

Merry Christmas,

It was such a funny moment with Henry stealing that little Juan card! Joe and I laughed about it for days, and we still do even today. It just had to be the title of the TR even though it was on our LAST day!

I think it was you with the Halloween bags!!! I'm so sorry I didn't post that before, I completely forgot! :headache: However, sounds like it worked out for you anyway...$10 for a Disney bag isn't too shabby either I thought, and they did seem very heavy duty and sturdy...perfect for MNSSHP candy. :goodvibes

Brook, you weren't kidding when you said you were going to try and finish this TR before you left!!!

Bo!!! And Bo with Brook!!! And Bo with Joe!!! :thumbsup2

:rotfl: Yes! I hope we remember that for his wedding!!! Hilarious!

I thought you'd like those Bo pictures, we took them with you and Chelsea in mind! I think DHS should decorate Bo in Christmas lights or a garland boa or something fun for Christmas...

It looks like Bo is getting current with technology and talking on a cell phone in Joe's picture:cutie:

Yes!! I forgot that is what Joe wanted to do was have Bo making a phone call after he refused to do the leg kick. I didn't notice notice it when I posted the picture!

Life with a two year old is always an adventure, isn't it?! :rotfl:

Love the story behind the title, lil klepto :rotfl:

Love those nighttime shots at DHS! I wish you had a sound clip of Henry saying "BAAAAA". That would be hilarious!

Oh I wish I had a sound clip of it too! We just had Henry say "Baaaa!" but it wasn't the same that he was doing at WDW, it was a normal one. When he would bleat in WDW it was practically on the top of his lungs and said with gusto, which made it even funnier!!

i think the story about juan is hilarious. also we have that donald hat. let me tell you my dh , and myself are both teachers and ds is in 1st grade, and dd is in prek, it has been worn for many a crazy hat day always a hit

That is a PERFECT "crazy hat day" hat!!!! That gives me ideas for when Henry is in school.

It must be wonderful to have your DH home! What a perfect Christmas gift. :goodvibes ENJOY!!!!!!

The next morning we woke up a bit earlier than normal so we would have ample time to wrap up our packing and check-out. We weren't exactly sure what we wanted to do that morning, a park? Relax at the resort?

Then Joe said the magic words:

"Let's go to the Poly for coffee."

:faint: :yay: ::yes::

He didn't need to ask me twice!

I also elaborated on the plan and suggested we hit Cap'n Cooks for breakfast. He seconded it.

Our plan was made. We quickly wrapped up things in the room, and we snapped more pictures - of course!

And I've been meaning to say, KatMark, feel free to take any/all for the CSR thread. I have wanted to get over there to share, but just haven't carved out the time yet - so please do if you'd like!!! :goodvibes

!!!!

Joe had. He actually visited Panchito's a few times - once was to get aloe for the sunburn he suffered from since our day at the pool. Poor guy. But, I am thinkin' he won't forget the sunscreen again! ;)

We soon arrived at the coffee bar :lovestruc

I ordered a normal cup of Kona coffee, I was completely "blissed out" as PPP would say! :cloud9:

With cup in hand a permanent grin on my face, we headed over to MK. We had 2 things on our list:

1) Use our snack credits
2) Find the "4 Parks, 1 World" CD

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-6/IMG3769/647374103_gzGqS-M.jpg

Henry got a sticker at bag check - a Mickey security guard one!

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-6/IMG3771/647373883_ZEVDY-M.jpg

I love dipping into MK on our last day as a way to say good-bye

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-6/IMG3773/647373711_JkZBc-M.jpg

As you can see in the above picture, the parade was wrapping up (or just beginning based on the time?) a bunch of CMs were BUSTING A GROOVE to the music, it was so much fun to watch them!

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-6/IMG3775/647373643_uDUEh-M.jpg
The front CM there really got into it-she was awesome!

We ventured into the Confectionery to use up those snack credits

Snack credits used, we headed back out onto Main Street and dipped into a few stores looking for the CD....but we came up empty handed! We were bummed because we REALLY wanted it! Perhaps we will find it this trip...

It was time for the bus to arrive. As much as we hoped it wouldn't come, it did. The Magical Depress (who thought of that? Genius!) arrived and we boarded.

We were at MCO before we knew it. Almost every trip we have eaten at MCO as a way to pass the time, we chose Ramano's Macaroni Grill again this time - we love it there. Yum.

As we waited for our food I realized we never did a "Not so Hidden Mickey" at a meal! :sad2: So...

There was no drama with the plane this trip. It arrived. We boarded it. The laptop was pulled out, Cars was put in.

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-6/IMG3833/647375935_7Ejnw-M.jpg

http://brookelizabeth.smugmug.com/Disney-World/Sept-2009/Disney-Sept-2009-Day-6/IMG3837/647375923_PBkiG-M.jpg
Joe ate this on the plane. It was HUGE, and tasty.

Our flight home was simple. All our bags arrived. We didn't hit a deer on the way home this trip either. It was good.

This trip was smooth. Very little drama. I started out with a nasty cold, but it was gone halfway through our day at MK. I thought I was going to be in an ECV, but my foot gave me zero problems - and still hasn't to this day. I thank you very much for your prayers on that, they obviously worked! :goodvibes

We had a great time at CSR, and we would stay there again. We liked the QSDP. It was a pretty good value and worked well for our family. I don't think I would necessarily do any dining plan on a regular basis because it is generally cheaper for us to pay OOP than for the DDP. However, due to the increased prices at CSR, the QSDP did pay for itself this trip. And it was fun to bring home some treats to snack on the next few days. :thumbsup2

Tonight we have a Christmas party with the family, then we will drive to my Aunt and Uncle's for Christmas day. We will stay overnight and we fly out on the 26th. It is hard to believe we will be in Florida in just a couple days!

Thank you for reading!!! I'll see ya real soon!!!!!!

(for those of you not reading my PTR, I'll be Tweeting live from WDW next week, click HERE (http://www.twitter.com/joebrookhenry) for my account - and also updating Facebook with pictures/tweets, PM me with your name and I will add you as a friend!)

And, MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone! We have been calling it "Jesus' birthday" around here because Henry understands that, and he is pumped about having some cake and blowing out candles. :rotfl: He didn't mind the presents part either. ;) I hope you have a blessed and safe holiday. :santa:

Hi Brook! I LOVE the story of Henry and Juan and then the baaaaaa noise! :rotfl2: I am sitting here at the computer laughing and my DS is looking at me like I've lost it! Good job with your title! :)
So you guys are in the "yay! we are going to Disney in hours (you can really say hours now!)"! You are going to have such a great time down there with all of the Christmas decorations. I hope the snow isn't a bother and you can get down to the magic without a wait in the airport.
Have a wonderful time and Merry Christmas to you up north... soon to be down south! :cool1:

:rotfl: Thank you! I'm so glad others found it funny!! It was such a goofy moment...!

I am VERY much looking forward to the sun and warmth. It's almost 30 degrees here, which is actually warm for December, but just to go outside and not shiver....:cloud9: :lmao: And the snow hasn't stopped for about 24 hours now. It's coming down pretty lightly though, so its easy to shovel and not nearly as bad as I expected!

Merry Christmas Brook and family! If I don;t "see" you before have a great DIsney Trip!!

Thank you!!! Merry Christmas to you as well! Have fun with your little one...I love watching them rip into presents and play with the paper. :rotfl:

Merry Christmas Brooke! Have a wonderful trip.:santa:

Thank you!!! Merry Christmas to you too!!!

Brook, lt you finishing up your report on the holiday! :)

Thank you for the offer of the pictures for the CSR thread and I will take you up on it as soon as things settle down.

I have fallen in love with your family and I am so glad that you all had a great time at Disney and that you fell in love with CSR like we did.

What an awesome wrap up! Great job on the final photos! I learned somehting from your TR. I never knew Captain Cooks had Tonga Toast. Did you check for 4 Parks, 1 World in the Poly gift shop? They've had them there the last couple of times I've been there.

Quick thinking on the last minute Hidden Mickey with the plates. :thumbsup2

Hi Brook - just wanted to say how much I enjoy your TR and have been thinking about your upcoming trip as I look outside my windows and see the storm we are having. We are only about 6 hours from Minneapolis up here in Canada and I know that you are having quite the storm yourselves. Hope your travels turn our okay as I know that all of our flights from Winnipeg into Minneapolis have been delayed with no departure times in sight.:sad2: My husband works at the airport and he has been called in to work from 7 tonight until 7 in the morning and then again on Christmas Day. Soooo our Christmas has been turned inside out. Hope you and yours have a wonderful time creating new memories and that your trip proceeds as planned. pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust::cheer2::c heer2::cheer2:

Love the story behind your title!- I would also have loved to see a video of Henry doing his "Baaa," I'll bet it was hilarious. I'm glad you had such a fun and uneventful trip- hopefully this next one will be the same!

Good luck in your travels Saturday, I will be praying for no snow delays for you! I look forward to following your tweets, and I will PM you my name for FB. I remember seeing one of your comments on Couponing to Disney's FB page the other day and thinking- hey, I know her! :rotfl:

Have a wonderful trip!!! :goodvibes

Loved this TR! Henry's getting so big! He actually reminds me a lot of my DBF who also LOVES anything with Cars! When we go to the Disney Store, we walk the whole store and I'm done. But then he needs some time in the Cars section! Then yesterday, we went to FAO Schwarz, and out of the millions of toys around us, he immediately spotted the few Cars toys they had! He was pointing out this little kid in the street who had a hat on with Lightning's eyes on it. DBF and Henry would get along very well! :thumbsup2

Also, I don't think I posted it even though I meant to ... the video link you posted of the 3 of you having fun (putting the crawl through mesh tunnel over Henry, waiting for him to say "Squirrel!") put me in such a good mood! Haha, now I wish I saved it as a favorite!

Hey Brook,

I was behind on my subs...and you got really busy there right before Christmas....:lmao:

(you are probably right now enjoying New Orleans...:yay:) I can't wait to read all about it and your NYE celebration in the World...:cool1:

A couple of things...

I'm so sorry that you all got squished up in one row of a car in Sci Fi...:sad2:...they should have given you and Henry a row and Joe a row or visa versa...It is fun but I can see where those old movie clips wouldn't be as fun when you are really little...(David did enjoy them last summer but he's 7...:confused3) Give it a try again in a couple years but get two rows...

Love Henry's look in the TSM dump shop...don't you just love all the Andy's Room Toys...:goodvibes

How cute is it that Henry loved LCA...you really do have yourself a major Car lover...:lmao:

I love the ordering system at Polynesian too...:lmao:....(I'm a geek though and I know it...-I embrace it...:rotfl:

and goodness yes bless Joe for thinking of the coffee at the Poly...:cloud9: it doesn't get any better than having your "good" coffee while you're wondering around the World...that is bliss...:goodvibes

Safe travels...
