We were on the May 18 Eastern and took bubbles and we did use them, but no one else had them. I felt a little wierd being that we were the only ones with them...just my husband and I. I think if we would have had children it would have been better. I had read of people bringing bubbles on this BOARD, but we didn't see any except our own. If you think it would be fun...take them!!

My two girls blew bubbles on our cruise for the departure party and then enjoyed blowing them on our verandah later. I say to definately bring them and enjoy the fun!

If you want to ensure that you are not the only one blowing bubbles...bring extras!!!
Hubby and I used to bring them, as that was the way people from the old AOL message boards used to identify each other. There were times when we started out as the only people blowing them, but then kids would inevitably gather around, we'd pass out the extra bottles, and instant party! I still remember one little boy when we were blowing them at the front of the ship while leaving Castaway Cay. He took the bottle and was "chair surfing" on a lounger while blowing a trail of bubbles. It was neat to watch.

taking extras sounds like a good idea. I should check and see how much a little 12 pack of those bubbles you sometimes see at weddings...You can probably order these from Oriental Trading Company.

We brought bubbles on our first two cruises and had lots of fun with them. As someone else said the fun doesn't stop at the sailaway party. We used to blow them off of the veranda - no work at all - just put the wand out and let the wind do the rest!

Both times I think we were the only ones with bubbles, but it didn't matter we had fun.

On our last cruise we didn't bring them and this time I saw others with them. We were too busy taking pictures and enjoying to miss them too much.

Thanks for the replies, I think we will pick some up at the nearest Michael (the one's used for weddings and just share them with our fellow cruisers). I thought I read somewhere that streamers were out - I guess its not like TV where everyone waves good bye in the midst of a shower of streamers!!:Pinkbounc

Six more days to go - I'm reading to jump out of my skin - I'm so excited!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I could feel those pre-vacation jitters!!:p

The dollar store has the little bottles you use at weddings 4 for $1.00 or a case of 24 for $5.00. They also carry the big bottles.

When I was at Target on Friday, they had boxes of wedding bubbles on clearance.

We, too, were on the May 18 Eastern cruise. We didn't bring our own bubbles but CMs were handing out small vials of bubbles to all the kids by the Goofy pool. My two oldest didn't blow bubbles but my youngest and I did. It was a lot of fun!!! Take them!!

You can also get some Mickey-head bubbles in your custom-made basket by Shirley at The Perfect Gift (www.theperfectgift.cc). She had a bottle on the shelf which she gave to my DS when we visited her last Fall. He loved it!

My dollar store has them 6 for a dollar. I'm going to write on them...Disney Cruise 1/04/03...then put a Mickey head on the other side in black.

It's very easy to write and draw on these bottles. I do it for all kinds of occasions, and kids love them!
