No converter needed...I did take an extension cord though because of people recommending it on this BOARD. We ended up having a plug right near the mirror in the cabin, but the plug was so close to the counter that my large hair drier plug wouldn't fit into it...so an extension cord did come in handy for that.

Just a little tip..........you can pull out the TV a little and plug in just about anything behind it.... ;)
