Free Cruise Incentive Question

Any of you who got the free cruise for buying or adding points earlier this year:

Was it your understanding that the free cruise did not include gratuities? I thought it did, but was told by MS today that it does not include them. Of course, I don't have it in writing. With all the confusion about the free cruise, I just want you guys to confirm that I am misremembering.

It does include all taxes, port charges and gratuities. On my booking confirmation from DCL is even specifies it and I see what DVC paid for them.

I just got back from my free cruise and it did indeed include the tips. They added the amount onto my bill and then subtracted it out on the next line, hence a zero balance transaction. The ticket vouchers with envelopes were in our stateroom the last night to distribute. And we got a sprinkling of pixie dust as we were upgraded from a Cat 9 to a Cat 6 midship.

We just came back from the 3 night bahama cruise 9/3-9/6 - Disney Wonder. Our gratuities were included. We got the tickets to put in the envelopes on the 2nd night to be given on the last night and we also got upgraded to a category 5 ocean view varanda stateroom.

We just booked our free 4-night cruise, and still have the certificate from DVC...if you check the writing on the back, it says ""Includes gratuities and all Government Taxes and Fees. Does not include incidental expenses such as spa or salon visits, phone calls, photos, video games, Internet usage, parking, shore excursions and alcoholic beverages."

I am keeping a copy of both sides, just in case :thumbsup2

Just got back yesterday and like the others who have sailed gratuity was included. When I made the ressie they thought gratuities were not included but after speaking to her manager it was confirmed that they were included.

And we were upgraded too to a catagory 5 !!
