why did my shirts color come off with FL heat and humidty

Hello I was just wondering if any of you folks could give me hints and advice on how to make shirts that the color wont start to come off..... It was a big problem but i noticed on my shirts when they got a little wet or humid that just a hint of the color came off.... is there a sealer that I can put on it.... thanks for all the help and to everyone who made the designs for me thank you making a BFF vacation extra special

Aree you talking about tye dye color, color from the iron ons, or color of the shirts?

I'm assuming that the problem you had was with transfer paper. What paper did you use?

If it was transfer paper. I recommend using Amy Mickey's transfer paper. You have to get it directly from her but I've heard nothing but good things about it. I used it and the only two problems that I did have is that if you use red t-shirts and too much heat the red will bleed onto the transfer paper, and lemonade did make the ink on the transfer paper run (my 2 year old spilled lemonade all over his shirt). I found her paper worked best with 100% cotton t-shirts but it worked okay with 50/50 blend as well. I have washed the t-shirts with her transfers many times and haven't had problems with cracking or the color running.

If you want to buy them from the store...I have read on here to try a vinegar wash to get the colors to stay...but I don't have experience with that.

My first batch of shirts I sprayed with Scotchgard. There were alot wioth dark colors - like Mickey Heads, etc. and I was worried they would run in the rain. After I ironed them on, I sprayed the designs. It worked great, they never ran at all.
