Just booked the Eusrostar for the 6th Dec - 11th Dec

Have booked with Benotel for the Explorers hotel.
But having second thoughts and might decide to book the hotel with Disnsey direct, get the food offer then.

The Explorer hotel is costing approx £320 for the 4 nights.
Plus approx £400 - £500 for annual passes.

The Newport bay with park passes is £1075 , so £200 - £300 more, but you get the food vouchers.
Trying to go on a budget so What do I do !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please help !

I would say definitley take the NBC with the food vouchers! Honestly, its a bit more upfront, but it will save you lots in the long run. AND you can relax in the knowledge that you paid for all of your food in advance, you can have great fun planning where youre going to eat and your spending money can be spent on other things!

IMO its a no brainer :cool1:

Hmmm, depends how may of you there are I think. if you're going to have to buy food anyway, and there's several of you, I'd also go for the NB with vouchers.

Last time we went we budgeted for £200 a day for food and spends. Sounds like the meal plan is your best option..IF the plan has the restaurants you want to eat in, of course!

You're not comparing like for like though if you really mean annual passes rather than day passes?

2 adults , 1 noraml child, 1 very very hungry child !

Your right it s not like for like.

Have to way up the options of using an annual pass again within the year ( Not sure )
Both hotels are about the same in quality, but we do love NPB , so it will cost us around £200 more , and we lose the AP for 4 people , but We would have food vouchers for around £500s worth of food :) :)

yes well we had done same thing, booked flights, we had explorers for 5 nights for £315 then just 3 annual passes on top... as milo under 3.. would come up about £300- so 615 ish..give or take plus food.

but sante fe for the time we are going with free food is coming up at £594
with food... so as much as we were excited about explorers etc.. i cant really justify difference, as we also want to move next year so need to save for deposit etc.

Also wondering if we've ****ed.

Have booked 3 nights/4 days at Explorers for £470.00 plus £150 for a character breakfast & character dinner at Cafe Mickey. We'll also have to pay out for an additional 4 lunches and 2 evening meals at the park.

We are 2 adults and 3 children so are limited as to where we can stay as don't want two rooms.

Have just looked and if we go to Davy Crocketts we pay £490 but get the free vouchers, which we will use for lunches, but would part exchange for evening meals. We'd also (I believe) get the extra park hours on the Wednesday.

I'd excluded DC's because of the no shuttle bus thingy, but wondering if it's worth the drive into the park for the vouchers? How far from the parks are the carparks and what do you think? Do you think I should try to change the booking?

sweetiepie I'd say in your case its definitely worth trying to change your reservations to include DC with the free meals - its actually cheaper than your existing booking, as you could use your vouchers towards your Cafe Mickey meal one evening :thumbsup2.
The car park at DLRP is only 15 minutes walk, at the most, from the gates of the parks.

Is that definately right, that we can use the evening vouchers as part pyment as the better restaurants in the village? We'd want to go to Cafe Mickey, Annettes and possibly La Grange or Buffalo Bills?

Have no idea if we'll be able to change our booking or not, but will give it a go tomorrow.

The table-service meal voucher in the free meals offer is a standard half board voucher (for the Santa Fe, Cheyenne and DCR). It states in the terms and conditions of the offer that these can be used at face value in any of the half-board participating restaurants. This includes Cafe Mickey, Annettes (which is a standard half board restaurant anyway) and La Grange. Buffalo Bills is a lot more money, but yes, your half board vouchers can be used as part payment for this too.

Cool, thanks very much. I'll be on the phone to the agents first thing tomorrow. Yes, we know BB's is mega pricey, but we went last time and loved it..."Yeeehaw!" and hopefully the Grandparents will pay the extra for Xmas pressies. :thumbsup2

Will let you know how I get on!
