Do they come in kids sizes? I have yet to find a cheap one that will fit my children. I am going to take a raincoat for DD 4 but my eight year old wants a Disney poncho. Whoever said one size fits all needs to have their head examined.

Yes, they come in at least two sizes. I asked for one adult and one child and the one for my DD was definitely smaller.

Iknow I have seen it posted somewhere, but how much are they?

You might want to consider a different color for your kiddos. You can get a better poncho for cheaper outside the park and they won't blend in the hundreds of others when the rain starts.

Honestly I can't remember how much they cost, but do yourself a favor and stop by your local $1 or Walgreens before you go there as I promise you will put a dent in your budget if you wait until there. I had some, just forgot to pack them... And I am pretty sure they double the prices at the first scent of rainfall

A CM showed us a great trick for my sons Mickey poncho. It was way too long so she tied the bottom of each side into a knot and that lifted it up enough so it wouldn't drag and ds wouldn't trip.

Are they still yellow or are they a clear one? I picked up 6 yellow ones at a garage sale of a $1 total!

They are all clear now. No more yellow Mickey ponchos, but I still have my old ones. They were/are super sturdy.

Agree w/ buying the poncho's off DWD property. We paid $2 and had a choice of colors...Big Lots store.

They do come in child sizes. They're usually behind the counter and they are among the cheapest items in the park. Think about it: if it rains and people leave, they're not spending money, and Disney does not want THAT!

I can't speak to buying the Walmart/Big Lots ponchos, because we bought the yellow ones with the Mickeys on the back about 14 years ago and those are the ones we still use. They're super sturdy and, since we go frequently, I can't imagine buying cheapos for every trip. When DS was born, I bought a child-sized one to put over his stroller and, ten years later, that is what he uses now.

I HATE $1 ponchos!!! I had forgottem how much untill we pulled them out to use last year. They stick to every concievable surface of your body, and still fail to keep you dry. My DD is 5 and was swallowed by the adult ones. I NEED to get her a child's size and cannot find any les than $20.00 at the camping store. I am waiting until we need them and getting her one at disney this year. Last year it was a disaster wrapping her in the glorified walmart bag of a poncho we had.

Unless they have changed since May, the ponchos that they sell now are NOT sturdy at all! I did see some people in the parks with the yellow ones that were mentioned in previous posts, and they looked great, but the white ones out now are not the same at all! Granted, it rained almost all day, every day the week we were there, so they did get a lot of use, but they tore very easily, the snaps on the sides broke, and they were just overall very cheap. If you are thinking of having one of these as a souvenir to use in the future, I wouldn't plan on it. You'd do much better heading to WalMart and getting something that is more sturdy!

We just always buy ponchos ahead of time. You might be able to find a disney themed one locally...

Sorry, I didn't see this before my original reply. We have gone 3x in Nov in the last 4 yrs, and while it isn't typically a rainy time of the year, we have needed ponchos on a couple of days. When it has rained, it has rained really hard at times!

We will plan on bringing them with us again this year, and we also like to have them when we sit up in the splash section while viewing the Shamu show @ SeaWorld.

We found that some cast members would, others would not. :confused3 I just wanted the OP to realize that these are not the same quality of ponchos that they used to sell that would last for years, like the other posters raved about! We did see several people at the parks with the old yellow ones, and they were much better quality.

Both Walmart and Walgreens have decent, reasonably priced ponchos:thumbsup2.
