Hi. We go to Disney in November and are celebrating my DD's 10th birthday whilst there. We have a dinner ADR for CP. Has anyone pre-ordered a cake? If so, how and approx how much can I expect to pay?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Hi

We are always in Orlando for my DD birthday and have never had a problems getting her a birthday cake.:thumbsup2

Just mention it when you book your dinner reservation, and again when you enter the restaurant.

From memory I think it's about $15.:confused3

They usually pipe the name and age onto the cake. Well they have when we have had them in the past.

We usually take my DD to the Grand Floridian for the Cinderella dinner and usually one of the characters brings her cake and sings Happy birthday to her. They also present you with a place mat and a tiara(notsure what it is if your a boy!!):rotfl2: and then package the cake up for you to take away with you.

Hope this helps.

There's loads of info re: Disney cakes over on the restaurant board:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1811912

There's also a sticky at the top of the page which just has photos of different cakes.

We ordered a cake from the GF for our DD's 10th birthday. I just spoke with the lady who does the cake ordering for the GF, told her what we wanted and she took our order. I gave her our CC no. but on the night we just charged it to our room. I think that the cake cost around $50 - $60.

I ordered one of the chocolate ones as a surprise for my DH for our meal at Cali Grill. It was about $22 I think from memory. I ordered it back in February for May (theres no need to order that early, I just wanted to tick it off my list!!). I then checked the order was still Ok once I got to the States. It was very easy to do. It was just one of their basic cakes that they will pipe something on to - you can get really nice fancy ones for much more money, but this did the job a treat!

There are a couple of piccies of it in my food report!
