As I already posted, my son is getting married in July. I've already posted a question looking for Disney music for the reception.

I am looking for any suggestions to incorporate Disney/Mickey into the wedding and reception. They are almost trying to do a Hidden Mickey type theme.

They have etched Mickey heads on to their centerpieces on all the tables. We plan to have Disney music playing during Dinner. Their cake topper and grooms cake are both Disney. They have some Mickey heads that will be added around the reception as well. Even at the wedding itself there will be a hint of Disney. All the bouquets will have a "hidden Mickey" on them somewhere.

Does anyone have any other suggestions or ideas? Again, they are trying to keep it subtle.

Can we trade sons - LOL.

I am putting together the table favours and I am using a tiny Mickey Icon hole punch to attach the tag. He doesn't know, it is just my little hidden Mickey.

Depending on your definition of "subtle" . . . these are what our place cards and menu cards look like:

I'm getting married in 5 weeks and two days (it is not at WDW though) and we have several ways to incorporate Mickey! One is my bouquet! I found this on the Disney Store Japan site:

That is going to be my bouquet, but in a different color. It's subtle but I know it's there and that is all that matters.

My dress has beading on it and my mom is going to sew some hidden Mickey's onto it.

Best of luck with the planning! :)

Thanks for the ideas. They are planning on hidden Mickey's already in all the bouquets, etc. I love the menu though. I can't wait to show them what it looks like. As far as the "Mickey punch", I had to laugh because they are using a punch to add Mickey's to many things inside the reception.

One thing my son is doing is etching Mickey heads on to vases for the centerpieces. It looks amazing. He's also doing the same thing to jars they are using for their candy buffet (it's their favors for the guests).

They have a few ornament hangers and we purchased Mickey head ornaments during our trip last December. They will be hanging all over the bar, the cake table, gift table, etc.

But we are still open to more ideas. Keep them coming!

I am also etching Mickey's onto the vases for the centerpieces! I actually really have to get started on those! LOL!

acwinsett - did you make those menus and placecards yourself or did you purchase them? They are exactly the sort of thing I would like! I love them!

We used Mickey Head place cards which were a pain but a huge hit!
We had to cut them out by hand after they were printed :)

We had Mickey and Minnie on our favors...we used a navy blue organza bag with M&M's in it to class up the fact that it was a shot glass...lol

I think what you have is great! If your going for subtle, I'd stop now. You don't want overkill. I think all the ideas you have are perfect~;)

I want to incorporate a little bit of Disney magic into my wedding (someday) too. I don't want it to be obvious, because my boyfriend isn't as a die-hard Disney fan. I plan on doing little hidden mickey's in the cake. Maybe some disney themed confetti on the tables. Please continue to share, and I would love more ideas as well!
