We just joined DVC in June of this year at BLT!!:cool1::cool1:

So we haven't even been to a DVC resort yet, First trip is OCT 8-10 for my oldest son's bday to OKW. can't wait!! 28 days to go!

I have our first trip "home" booked for feb 12-19th.

Just got off phone with MS and Booked July 23-28th at BLT for youngest son's bday. Hope to change it to AKV as he LOVES animals.:hippie:

Is it normal for me to be so hooked already and i haven't even been to the world as a DVCer yet?? All of our trips are booked in studios to stretch out points and get more time in at the world.

I too already feel the need to add on points. I really think we are gonna need a 1 BR soon. DH is not gonna be happy with me.:scared1:

Do yall think that i'm normal for planning out so much already and haven't gone yet or just fitting in well??? Also, do ya'll think that it is smarter to book studios for a little while and get really cramped then book a trip in a 1 BR and make DH think it's his idea to add on??? Any thoughts or comments on my questions?? i alot i know at one time.

TIA!! Happy planning on this great day of nines!

Just don't book a 2bdroom like I did! Took 2 dd ages 10 & 12 and me and DH. Well DH won't consider anything else except a 2 bdroom when its the 4 of us! Had to do an add on!

Sounds like you are getting a case of 'addonitis' like the rest of us. Hate to tell you, but there is no known cure. Not even adding additional points can combat the urge to own more and more points. That being said, your first MF bill may help calm the urge...:scared1:

No, you are not crazy for planning out future vacations. I have a notebook where I have planned out various scenarios of trips for the next three years!

Oh no! You are in trouble now!

To my knowledge there is no antidotes for DVC.

There is one for addonitis..... maintainence fees.

You must have caught what we all have here!

I honestly thought this thread was going to be about H1N1 and the possibility of you having it and going to Disney anyway! LOL.

Congratulations -- this could be a good plan. I had to write up a whole explanation for myself for why I got the number of points I got, and to try to forestall addonitis -- I still regularly check the resales listings, tho. I'm going to check out some other resorts in Nov. to see if I really think I need more. We don't go every year, so I can take advantage of banking and borrowing.

But, do keep in mind that it's an expensive purchase, and using it is really expensive with all the other travel costs considered. It's more than just the MFs every year (which are due every year, even if you go less often).

A combo trip of a few nights at DVC and a few at a regular hotel (even off-site) can stretch out your vacation and be fun also. (Don't stay in a 2 BR unless you really have lots of "play" money -- it will really spoil you). I wish I'd been able to afford (and had discovered) timesharing a long time ago. (But can still make do in motel rooms sometimes).
