Well, I guess touching 18 blades of grass can get you kicked out of the Fort but, this is now o.k.

Hey, don't forget those pics of webcam guy that had TWO tents on his site with his RV both of which were on the grass. Hmmm, is it who you know and not what you do? :confused3

I have seen this done a few times since the premium lots were created.
I think you could get three pop-up campers on some of those premium sites.
So, if anyone is looking for a pop-up site for Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas, let me know. I will sub-let you 1/3 of a premium site.
Let's see, if I charge $50 for a 1/3 interest in a premium site, I can camp for free. :thumbsup2

p.s. I'm just kidding. But, it could be done.

Did they rent 2 sites and park the tow vehicles on the other ?
I have seen this where a family requested 2 adjoining and got 2 different loops. They parked the campers on one site and the tow vehicles on the other the campers were in 700 and trucks were in 300. I was next to them in 2004 and over heard the conversation with a FW manager at first he told them NO. They explained that they reserved the sites over a year earlier and requested adjoining sites and had the reservation linked and also faxed in the requests to be side by side 2 weeks ago. after about 2 minutes of the mgr on his radio trying to find adjoining sites and there were none The MGR said OK and claimed he was sorry he missed the requests and went a way with his tail between his legs

Ok, but only if you don't smoke and you let my kids ride your bikes around the loop. I really just want to use your picnic table and maybe the pool. :rotfl2:

I remember that lady on here that wanted to use the fort pool, but it's too scary to stay there overnight with her children.
I'll pay 20$ for a space for my tent on Halloween... I really only want to enter into the pumpkin carving contest.

As far as I know, the only renovations being done at the Fort currently are to the roofs of various structures... perhaps to preferred loop comfort stations.

I think I actually read somewhere that's what they're doing (can't remember where).
Although I'd love to put a request in for some updated picnic tables in the 300 loop - seeing as how we're going to be there SOON!

:rotfl2: Christy, I thought the same thing. In fact, it made me want to go grab the Comet and Clorox and do a little work on my bathroom at home!
I'll be at the fort in 10 days!

VERY interesting!! Looks like some sites are getting a bit of a spruce up and some of the "nakedness" will be filled in. Good stuff!
Oh and as for the bathrooms...
Every time I've used the ones at FW they have been SPARKLING clean. :thumbsup2

Went to the pool yesterday for a quick swim. Well turns out they were going to do a 'lifeguard test'. In the pool, playing dodgeball with me (I'm a rescue diver) were 3 paramedics from Ft. Lauderdale. Soooooo.....when the "drowning" happenned, the 4 of us were the first responders - not knowing it was a test! We were getting waved off by Mgt. and all the other pool goers were scared $h!tless!!!!!! Good going Disney!!!!

So now we know what happened to the guy who ordered the photo shoot of Air Force One over Manhattan earlier this year. I had assumed he was working for the Coast Guard in DC after yesterday's drills on the Potomac, but based on this he works at the Fort!

if you see trees being cut, i'm pretty sure it's so they don't fall. . .Disney built a forest on a swamp, 38 years later, there are some issues. . .
last week a tree fell on the campfire building, if it had been any longer,or any bigger, it would have made a pretty little hole.

We’ll talk to a CM they are taken the pine trees out because of the pine needle fire risk. There has been crew there spraying all for the past 3 week the pine needles with fire retardant

Why did they take out all of the Peacocks? That is one of the things that really stuck in my memory from being there as a teenager. They were such beautiful birds! Were they messy or mean or something like that?
All of the above, plus loud!!
