Hi all, we are going on our second trip to DLP next november. when we were there 2 years ago i found the cost of a bottle of beer very expensive in the hotels. does anybody know if you can purchase bottles of beer or wine in the petrol station beside the Santa Fe? If so this would really help with our budget. Thanks...

Yes you can buy beer, wine and spirits from the petrol station. The beer is more expensive than the supermarkets but is a lot cheaper than ordering a beer from the hotels.
What some people do is to visit Val D'Europe and buy the beer from there.
I've not been yet but apparently the Auchan supermarket at Val D'Europe is the biggest/cheapest/best stocked in the area and is only a 1 stop 5 minute journey on the RER.
I'll be going there to stock up soon after we arrive.
Search for Auchan in these forums and there will be loads of info on it.

Probably about a 5 -10 minute walk. Go round the lake to Sequioa Lodge, along the river and Santa Fe hotel is on your right. Cut through the hotel - through the middle section towards the reception (think its signposted to reception )and then you will see the garage just outside the main gate

Hi all. just to finish up on this thread, we are just back from 5 days at the santa fe (no problems at all with the hotel by the way). For those who fancy a beer in the evening and wont/ cant pay at least e6.80 for a pint in the hotel bars the petrol station beside the santa fe charges e2.80 for a 500cl can of heineken (they also sell wine and spirits), but be warned that they will only sell alcohol between 10am and 6pm. Now for some even better news, the shop in the train station sells heineken for e1.90 . For those with a car I'm sure a trip to Val d'europe will save you even more money............
