Join connections on June 30th through their web sight and bought 200.00 worth of food vouchers. Leaving on Monday the 8th. Based on what I read about fast service I took the plunge. With the 4th holiday I am sure that slowed them down. I called Saturday to check on them. The reps on the phone are VERY uneducated and LOST! Now according to them the were never sent. I have to call customer relations. They gave me the phone number twice and it was wrong both times. Finally I figured out the number on my own, They are only Monday through Friday. So I will call Monday and see if they will send them to the Boardwalk. They vouchers I think are great and you can not get them anywhere else except e-bay which are a rip off. BUT if you join you are talking the chance of probably 50/50 that they will screw up. The people they hire are polite, BUT are not trained at all!!!! Some of them english is very poor and hard to deal with. I will call until I get satisfaction. I have dealt with LOTS of screw ups before. In situations like this I think you really need to push and not back down.

I am sorry to hear of your problem. I think you were a little too unrealistic in trying to order them with only 4 working days before your trip. I hope you can get it straightened out. Enjoy your trip anyway.

I was hopeful that they would come in time. I am surprised that they never left in the first place though. Once again do not be surprised at anything in regards to Connections.

I agree, you joined on Saturday (?) I mean hopefully they would have gone out Monday or Tuesday, but I can see where they'd be off a day... I definitely wouldn't have counted on getting these within 4 business days... I agree the reps are completely clueless, but their cluelessness was compounded by the time restraints, hopefully you will get the vouchers before you leave today...

Sometimes what the reps tell you isn't always true. Last month we ordered some restaurant gift cards. When they hadn't arrived after 4 days I called and the rep said the order had not been shipped out until that day. I was so disappointed as that was the first 'problem' I had encountered in over a year of using Connections. Well, the gift cards arrived that day. Obviously the rep was mistaken about them being shipped that day.
I guess a few minor problems now and again should be expected. However, the service has been very good for us.

No Go... They did not have a record of my transaction. They had my membership info but not the passes. Also, they can only send to the card holders address. So I cancel my membership. I will repriortize our food budget stagedy. No big deal. It was nice to finally get someone who knew policies and procedures. Very poorly managed company. I really feel for the reps on the phone who are trying to help without any training. I am sure telemarketing firms like Connections have high turn-over. The public will speak and decide if Connections will continue. They need to sell the memberships to stay afloat. I am sure they can not survive just selling $1.00 memberships and meal vouchers and tickets that no or very little margin.

I for one love connections. The park passes and meal vouchers are good, but the movie tickets are great! $4.50 for movie tickets that can be used in Brooklyn, you can't beat that.

Same thing happened to me. Connections charged my credit card almost $200.00 for an order I never placed. I called them many times and I was told there was nothing they could do or they did not know what to do. They could not refund the money because they did not have a record of my credit card being charged that much. I finally had to dispute it with my credit card company.

I've always ordered online: Restaurant cards, meal vouchers (3x), Universal tickets and received everything promptly and have been billed accurately.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. My orders have always been prompt and never double billed. I always plan on everything taking at least a week to arrive (although it hads never taken that long). Even when I orderd them and the expiration date was before my trip the replacement was only about 10 days from my sending them back to my receiving ones that had a better expiration date. I like the discounts they offer and use them frequently. I kept my membership and continue to do business with them.
