Avis One way rental to Radisson at Port

After reading about the great discount codes here, I have also reserved two mini-vans for our Nov. cruise at a great price. There are 9 of us total and I was wondering if it would be feasible for the men to drop the rest of us (& all the luggage) at the port, take the car back to the Radisson, then take the shuttle back to us not having to deal w/luggage. This seems easier than all 9 of us (+luggage) trying to take the shuttle. I do know security was tighter last time (after 9/11) and maybe they wouldn't like us doing that. But seems as long as they kept their cruise documents and ID, we could wait in the lobby to check in with them. DH had to do this last time just to park the car after letting us & luggage out. Also thought if it works, would do the same upon returning from the cruise. Has anyone else done this? What do you advise?

Susan, yes, you can absolutely do that on both ends of the trip and it is MUCH easier to do it that way.

SusanU...how far in advance were you able to find a great discount code for a minivan rental???? I'm needing one for March 2003 and all the current codes don't work that far in advance....

I used the code J945605 yesterday for March 21, 2003 and it worked.

I used the codes for Nov 7 and they worked (49.99 for a mini van or 39.99 for a full size). But I tried for Jan 23 & they did not. I'll keep trying though. It seems to change all the time. Dan & Scott- there are 9 of us going on this one. Only a 3 nighter, but we got it for the $99 from going in Jan. Still haven't got around to the 7 day though-that's my dream goal. I've got to quit with these little ones long enough to save for the big one! LOL! Good to see you guys are still around too! It's always great to hear from friends we have met on previous cruises! Our common love for Disney keeps us close.

Thank you SO MUCH for the Avis code. I just saved $12 - which works out to 23%!!! My booking is for 2/21/03, for anyone who's interested. BTW, where did code J945605 come from? Is there any special conditions for the code? I'd hate to be surprised next February!
