Hi,

Bit of a difficult question as this will be the first time we will be renewing our Dream annual passes and maybe quite a long question?

Basically, yesterday I went into our safe to get out our annual passes as I am ringing up to book Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party tickets for Oct to get the discount. I got out my son's and my husband's but mine wasn't there! We have looked everywhere, but just cannot find it anywhere:headache:

The question i'm asking is as we are renewing our passes when we go in 4 weeks time, do they ask you for your old passes back or can I purely just show them the receipt they print out when you get your passes that has name, expiry date, annual pass number on as we have had the 6 months extra free offer posted to us and I think that if you have to show them your old passes then hubby and son will get the offer but not me:confused:

I have rang guest relations this morning to see if it had been handed in the last time we were there (June) as hubby seems to think I left it in one of the shops before we left to catch the eurostar home. Unfortunately, they don't have it and the thing is the passes expire tommorrow anyway 08/09/09 and I explained to the lady on the phone that I would be willing to pay a replacement fee of 15 euros but even if I sent everything off today, I just don't think I would get the out of date pass back? Which is useless to use anyway.

So if anyone has renewed their annual passes in person please reply cause i'm tearing my hair out!

Thanks for taking the time to read.

Hi

I renewed ours in person and did have to hand in the passes but that was probably because they were in date and had another 3 weeks left on them. We got the additional 6 months and hadn't received the offer at home.

Do they still give you the offer once the passes have expired? I'm not sure? I'm sure somebody on here with more knowledge will be on later to help out.

Good luck

Hi,

I think I read on here that you have 30 days to renew to get the offer, but i'm not sure:confused3

We go on the 7th Oct, so that is 29 days after they have ran out.

I'm pretty sure we are going to have to hand back the old passes, which means I will lose out, and it's just the fact that really we need them to expire together rather than 1 of them expiring 6 months before the other 2 :headache:
Just seems silly really when they have the details on their system and I have the receipt to show I have paid for an annual pass.
Like I said in the first post I'm willing to pay a replacement fee, but just can't see it arriving back before we leave. But then I don't think they are going to issue an out of date pass? I read on here that a lady renewed her family's passes by post and I think left quite a substantial time for them to arrive back, but 5/6 weeks later she still hadn't received them, don't know what the outcome was though.

I've emailed DLP so just need to sit and wait and see what they say.

Thanks for taking the time to reply x

We renewed ours in person when the 6 month extension renewal offer was on. They issued new passes and kept the old ones - had about a month to go before expiry. From memory, the offer needed to be taken up before they expired.

The question is, if the AP's have expired, how are you going to get into the park, buy day tickets and seek a refund - is this going to be possible?

I bought my DD's renewal AP a few days after hers had expired. I went to Guest Services at the entrance to the park, where they took my money in full for the new AP, gave me the receipt, and a park ticket to get into the park. I showed them the letter she had received offering her the free 6 months, but Guest Services weren't interested in this.

When I took my DD to the AP office in the park later that day, they took the receipt, the park ticket, and the renewal letter, and issued her new AP for 18 months with no problem at all.

I downgraded her pass at this time from a Dream to a Fantasy, it was after the expiry of her Dream pass by about 4 days as I remember, and they didn't take her old Dream pass from her - I still have it.

Hi

Just to give you an update of what happened with regards to my lost annual pass. Well I emailed DLP with my dilemma and they emailed me back saying basically no problem just come to the Annual Passport office after buying at Guest Services and we'll give you the extra 6 months free!:thumbsup2

Lady in the Passport office did say that the offer had ran out because our passes ran out on the 8th Sept, but because I had the email to show her she said OK no problem!:goodvibes
