We are down to 77+ days and counting…what should we expect to receive in the mail next from DCL and when?

You'll receive your trip documents anywhere from 2-6 weeks prior to your sail date, and that's all you should expect to receive from DCL. :D

You should also receive your shore excursion info, about 2 months prior. We're sailing on Sept. 8th and received our shore excursion info about a week ago.

We're sailing August 17th. I have not received anything about shore excursions. Should I? I set up Captain Marvin's on my own and knew enough to call about parasailing on Castaway Cay at the 59 day mark.

Rootie,
This is our second DCL cruise, and we received our Shore excursion info about the same time frame last year. I would call! They should send you a little brochure, price list, and a form incase you want to mail/or fax your excursion choices over. Last year we just called DCL and booked ours. We still haven't decided if we're going to do any excursions this time around (besides Castaway Cay of course)

Disneychic,
I called DCL the other day to pay my balance. Having remembered that you posted that you received your excursion info, I queried the agent. The computer showed that a packet had been mailed to me and to the 2 rooms of friends going with me, supposedly mailed out more than a week prior. Stragely, not one of our 3 parties has recieved any excersion information via mail. The agent suggested that I go online and find the information and then email my requests to DCL from the site.
Don't know where the problem lies (DCL or US Postal Service)... Thought I would ask you since we are on the same cruise, would you mind posting when your cruise docs come in? I'm getting paranoid I know, but I like to keep a good handle on travel related items.

Alipom,
I will definately post when my cruise docs come in. Last year they came in about 4 weeks before the cruise. I hope they come in nice and early this year too!

We received our excursion packet for the 8/17 cruise 2-3 weeks ago.

I'm going on the Aug. 3rd cruise, and I was never sent any excursion info either. I didn't even know I was supposed to receive any! Luckily, I researched early enough at this board and some other sites to find out what the excursions were & that you could book ahead of time, which I already did with no problems.

This is very interesting. I read the first part of this thread yesterday. Phoned my TA to find out he is on holiday. I called Disney and was told they mailed out the excursion info as soon as my final payment went through (June 20) - they mailed it to the TA. I was upset thinking it is sitting on his desk and noone bothered to even phone me and tell me about this mailing:mad: I phoned the TA's assistant and she said they never received it. This is all very confusing, but thank goodnes for these boards - I just booked online.
