I haven't finished posting all of my daily trip reports, but I have added up all of the receipts so I can post what the whole shebang cost us.

It was 3 of us, myself, my wife and our 13-year-old daughter. We left NJ on Friday, August 14 and arrived back home on Sunday, August 30. We drove roundtrip from NJ.

Rental home in Florida, 14 nights at $100/night: $1,400.00
Hotels on the road: $156.14
Gas: $295.45
Park tickets (7-day expiring hoppers): $851.85
Food: $958.00
La Nouba: $265.20
Everything Else (speed boats, airboat tour, parking, souvenirs and gifts): $846.40

Total: $4,773.04

I'm sure there are a few little things here and there that didn't get recorded, so I'd add on another $50 perhaps (probably less than that - I keep good records).

Not bad at all for 2 full weeks at Disney doing lots of activities both on and off-site, eating 3 meals/day and snacks, transportation, accommodations and more. I know plenty of people who spend 5K or more for a one-week trip.

If our financial situation dictated, we could have easily spent a good deal less. For example, we could have skipped La Nouba and saved $265 plus money spent on souvenirs there. Lots of other things could have been trimmed if needed, so I'd say 3 people could easily do a 2-week trip for a little over $4,000. In fact, with cheaper accommodations, which are readily available, you could knock it under $4,000 for 2 weeks.
