Hi,

Not sure if any of you are interested in this however if you live near Birmingham Airport but today at approximately 3.40pm Emirates are bringing one of the new double decker A380 aircraft into bhx and apparently will be doing this more than once on different flight paths to see which path is best to bring it in and obviously see which gate is best as the aircraft is huge.

I'm gonna be watching as I am about 6 miles out from bhx so will be awesome to see.

Just a heads up incase any of you are interested and live near.

Thanks,

Jack

I'm waiting for it to come over. Our house is below a main flight path that Emirates use for the birmingham-dubai route so we are expecting it to come over.

Yip it was , we went to see it , absolutely fantastic aircraft, dont know how to post a picture otherwise would have shown you it, it was in the airbus colours and a fabulous sight to see, did a flypast as a nod to the workers who helped build it.

This is not just going to be a fly by. Two of our normal scheduled flights (EK39 Dubai to Birmingham and EK40 Birmingham to Dubai) will be operated by one of our A380s that day. The aircraft that will operate these services normally operates a daily service between Dubai and London Heathrow.
