Hi Patty!

I'm sure that when the times for the official convention events are posted, Marsha and PatInMN will be posting an itinerary of mini-meets that are planned. And if you have a idea for a mini-meet you'd like to host, contact Mac-key Mouse.

Right Marsha? ;)

I just wanted to add that most of the mini meets were just sort of 'open to all' last year. You could attend if you wanted to. :D With that said, there are some that you will need to sign up for if they require payment....like HoopDeeDoo. :D

Can't wait to meet you Patty.

I read something a while ago about a krispy kreme meet. Brother-in-law brought us some home from his last trip to New Orleans.....His flight was weather delayed overnight so the donuts were 2 days old by the time I had my first taste of donut heaven....must say the best pastry I have ever eaten.....So I'll be looking for Krispy Kreme mini meet.....Thanks for the info PattyN :jester: :jester: :jester: :jester: :jester: :jester:

Patty, that would be a good idea. You could host a Krispy Kreme mini meet. Last year we did it on the morning of registration, I believe. :::thinking::: We all just met at Tubbi's "Whoo-Hoo!" for Krispy Kremes and breakfast! :D

Of course, you can host it any ole time you'd like. I was just giving you a reference point. :)

What would be expected of me?

OK Folks, If we are having a Krispy Kreme mini meet, TUBBI's will NOT do! We either have to road trip to the KK store or someone has to go pick up donuts! Trust me, the donuts they deliver to places like Tubbi's are NOT as good as the one's directly from the store!

I'll send Marsha an email and see if we can get a spot on the schedule!

Yay Carol! :bounce: And I'm sure you're right about the KK's at Tubbi's because I wasn't all the impressed when I had my first KK last year. :(

Patty, last year (I keep saying last year because that's all I know :D ) the host was the person who usually got there first and just met and greeted everyone as they showed up. That's all! The mini meets usually just took on life-forms of their own and everyone just went with the flow. :D

Here is my plan.

I have emailed Marsha to get on the official mini meet list.

Once we figure out a time I will try and find out how many people want to participate and if we can find a way to transport everyone to the store. If we can't I will organize a posse to go get HOT donuts. The Hot Light is vital to the KK experience!

Dh is handicapped and as we won't have a car while in Orlando I might hope we could bring the donuts back to the resort. If plans are such that everyone wants to go to the bakery I could bring DH back some KK------but I would need to hitch a ride with another Dis-con II attendee. I really enjoy all this planning. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

I actually have a feeling it will be "posse" method! However, I am willing to do a combination. It can be a big posse when we go to get the donuts! (I feel like the Dunkin Donut man... it's time to make the donuts!)

Quit talking about the donuts. You all are making me hungry.

We don't have things like that out here in the boonies.

I may not have a tiara for the GF Tea, but I've got a Krispy Kreme hat to wear to the "Donut Meet". I can fit several hungry DISer's in my car to find that "HOT" sign. Count me in!

Last year I missed the Krispy Kreme meet, but I would really like to try one of those things this year!!!

This is the only meet so far that DH, Kevin, has said he wants us to be sure not to miss!!! HAHA

So, count us in! And I agree about the "hot light"! We have a Krispy Kreme about 2 miles from us that I try very hard to ignore most of the time (trying to lose weight)! But, while in WDW, I eat anything and everything!! So, bring on them hot donuts!!! YUM!!!:p :) :bounce: :Pinkbounc :p :) :bounce: :Pinkbounc

A tiara......Tea.....I get the connection-----I'm in daughter has a tiara I get to borrow her's. We got it for her when she turned 18......She wore it around all day in celebration.......And as it appears some of the Dis-coners wore theirs around all day---celebrating I'm sure. Well anyway I can do the tea as I'll have proper head gear. PattyN :bounce: :p :p :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :)

Hi, dalepool. All pretty good answers here.

1. Is there going to be a central list of DIS-meets? Yes, Ms. Mackey Mouse had a list of DIS-meets at the 2001 DIS-CON-I registration table that everyone could sign up for. And Patinmn made a great itineray including the official DIS-CON events (which he put in green colors) and unofficial meets that were frequently fine-tuned as they were carefully arranged so as not to conflict with the official events or with each other. Patinmn also posted his itinerary before we went to DIS-CON, which a lot of us printed to take with us. That's why some of us could have several meets to go to everyday. Sometimes we started with a 7:00 A.M. Character Breakfast, and ended with a 2:00 A.M. Karaoke. Let's see...that left about three hours to sleep before staring over again...lol.

2. How do you host a DIS-meet? Just e-mail Ms. Mackey Mouse your idea and request to host a DIS-meet. You could also post a thread to see what other DISers might be interested. They may have other ideas that can enhance your DIS-meet. And there can be more than one DIS-meet with the same idea. There must have been a half a dozen PIN trading DIS-meets at different places and different days last year. So there could be more than one Krispy Kreme DIS-meet...lol. I know that I would go to all of them. CarolA could do the "HOT" meet (Can I have a ride ride). You could hold one at Tubbi's like they did last year on a different day. I'll be at both. And there were three different Thrill Ride meets going on at the same time.

Hey Carol, I'd be glad to have a contest to see how many "HOT" Krispy Kremes donuts contest that we can eat at one time. Like that hot dog eating contest last week on TV...lol. (Don't forget the Lomodil for the squirts...lol).

What are you responsible for as a host? Have fun!!! Set a meeting place, a meeting time, and sort of point everyone in the right direction...lol. Tia ws right, a DIS-meet sort of has a life of its own...lol.

That little unofficial list that I have made is just for fun for me. I wanted a list of names of everyone going to te 2002 DIS-CON-II. I am determined to try and meet everyone that will be at Walt Disney World whether they are paying to attend the official events or not. I also wanted to see all the possible DIS-meetsthat we might have.

What DIS-meets are available and people are going to now?

Patinmn and luvdsny's Hoop-Dee-Doo Muscical Review DIS-meet on Tuesday evening on December 3, 2002. Patinmn has a 50 seat limit right know and he will be buying all the tickets undr his name. Just see there threads and e-mail Patinmn.

figmentvi's Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party DIS-meet on Tuesday evening, December 3, 2002. Just see her MVMCP thread. DISers are just buying their own tickets with a meeting place to be announced

disneycub and December99 and several others Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party DIS-meet on Sunday evening, December 8, 2002. We buy our own tickets. See several threads on the subject.

December99's Contemporary Resort Chef Mickey's Character Dinner DIS-meet on Sunday, December 8, 2002 before everone goes to MVMCP that evening. See December99's thread and let her know. She is making Priority Seating under her name.

Many of us are thinkng about going to EPCOT's Candlelight processional package DIS-meet on Monday evening, December 9, 2002. This is just in the suggestion phase and luvdsny has a thread. Someone or several DISers will have to pay for the packages at the same time for one of three times and make priority seatings for the same restaurant.

I think that is it for now.

I hope that this helps.
