Discounts tomorrow?

I heard from a coworker that winter discount rates will come out tomorrow. :bounce: Could this be true or am I getting my hopes up?:( Come on December Discounts...where are you?

The current code can be booked thru Monday July 8. It is highly unlikely that Disney will release a new set of discounts before this one expires. maybe next weekend. I know patience is wearing thin...I am with you.

A CM told me this morning that they won't be out until late July. I have also heard mid-July through the grapevine, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see. :D

When I called today the CM said that usually discounts are released on Mondays...who knows though...we all know that we all get different answers with each CM we talk to. :p

Just talked to CRO/WDTC this afternoon. Checking on my reservations. She mentioned that, according to the comuter, new codes are pending, which she said ment that they would become effective in 2-3 days and these codes would be good from 10/2 to 12/25.

BTW my reservations were screwed up. I had booked a package for early November with airfare. They sent me the paperwork showing that the balance was due on 10/18. This morning, she said that was a mistake and that when airfare is included, the balance due is 45 days - meaning 9/24. Would have gotten a big suprise:( .

This makes me happy! I was unable to book using DC discounts and so this is my last hope of not paying rack rate.

wow, til 12/25! that is awesome news. last year was the first time they had discounts into holiday season (holiday season begins on Dec 19th this year) that would be great if they have discounts again this yr for christmas week.
I know the GF was going for $199 last christmas! we can only hope for such outstanding discounts again :)

Strange that they release codes on Mondays when they can't take advantage of Sunday travel sections...Dana, January rates may not be available because I don't think Disney has even released the rack rates for 2003. Some of the package rates are out, but not the room only rates. Rack rates should be out soon and I am actually surprised that they aren't. Maybe you could call CRO and see if they have it in the computer and just not on the website yet.

Codes for January will be a long time coming. For January 2002, the codes weren't released until mid December - that's right, only about 2 weeks ahead of time. Don't know if that will happen again, but don't be surprised if it does. Oh, just was corrected. It was AP rates that came out so late. The codes for january were out the first part of November.

No, the CM was correct. Annual Pass discounts (which is what I asked about) only go through 9/30/02.

I like the guess of the 15th, but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't come out until the 22nd. Hope the discounts are as great as they were this last time (would save a good chunk of change). Here's hoping.

I am waiting too. Another early December traveler. I haven't even told my husband there is a possibility of further discount (AAA rate right now) as I don't want him to be disappointed if there are not any. My guess is next Monday will be the best day.

If I recall correctly, the last round of codes were announced on a Sunday, shortly after the current ones expired, which would put us this weekend on the 14th. That would be my guess. Maybe we should start wagering....;)

I have consistently maintained that the next code will come out 1-2 weeks after the old code expires. I have seen the codes become available on Sundays, not on Mondays like many Cast Members are telling people.

Whoever keeps calling, keep posting what the CMs say.

I have ressies at CBR 11/27-12/1. My travel agent booked the Delta vacation, which includes Ultimate hopper passes ( I think they're still called that), it was the airfare which was SO high because of the Holiday. If new codes come out, can I get a refund for the difference, if they even apply to me as we will be there on Thanksgiving weekend... I saw a thread saying they just applied the difference to their hotel charge.. that seems like a great idea!!!

buzz&woody'smom --- the discounts are few and far between for ASMo because it is so popular so I wouldn't necessarily count on getting a discount when they come out.

Here and Mousesaver's are your best bets for seeing that the code will be.

buzz&woody'smom, I'm in the same boat as you. I'm really hoping to be able to get a great discount at AsMo, but realize that it's probably unlikely. That resort usually fills up more quickly than the other two, therefore the discounted rooms aren't available there.

Luckily, I've got a great travel agent (from a Disforum post!) who will book exactly what I want when the codes come out!
