So I guess I have to start with the intros! so you guys know who we are and how awesome we are... right? :rolleyes1 kidding!

I'm Val, 24 from Toronto and I'm a Disney Addict! I'll be the one writing this TR!

addicted to Disney World! Thats Craig, aka the one i adore to a million pieces :lovestruc When I met him a year and a half ago he was a 22 year old Disney virgin! I, on the other hand, had just been accepted to the Disney College Program to work in one of the hotels and was just as happy as one could be!

Fast forward a few months and unfortunatly due to some family circumstances I was unable to accept the position at Disney. I was SO upset and I was so so so lucky to have Craig by my side. Seeing how upset I was he decided we were gunna take a trip to Disney!

We decided to go go to Disney World Aug 23-Aug 30 originally, but I was able to convince DBF to extend our vacation to Aug 22-Aug 31! :woohoo:

We stayed at PoP with FREE DINING! We got to all 4 Disney Parks, Typhoon Lagoon, DTD, SeaWorld and both Universal Parks!! It was Craigs very first everything trip, but this was also my first time staying on site and free dining! We were also celebrating our 1 year official anniversary!

So for months and months, with the help of all my PTR readers and fellow Dis peoples I planned and planned in an effort to get Craig addicted to Disney! So obviously, it worked! and in the end Craig even planned two surprises for me himself! :lovestruc:lovestruc

T'Was The Night Before Disney

So now that we're all aquainted onto the Trip Report!

T'was the night before Disney and all threw the house, my teenage cousins and thier friends were screaming from thier big loud mouths! seriously.. i live with my aunt and my two teenage cousins and my one cousin had her friend over and they were up being giggley annoying teenage girls till like 4am! That combined with the Disney excitment and being anxious of seeing Craig after not seeing him for 10 days before we left equals me with hardly any sleep! I think i finially fell asleep around 5am but not before taking this pic just for my DIS people!

ahh the luggage pic.. it brings so much excitment! the adventure to come!

so anyways i fell asleep at 5ish and i was up at 9ish to get ready to go and recheck everything a million times. Craig and his parents finially got here at 1pm and after the first meeting of the families (which went very well! :lovestruc) we packed up and left. It was pretty funny because for a second Craigs dad actually thought I just had my carry on as a luggage! and then i reminded him that i usually bring a carry on luggage to his house just for the weekends :rotfl: but nope, i had one big luggage and one small. Craig had one of those big backpack luggages and a smaller backpack as his carry on. (he is crazy, i know) this small backpack is like his child, i swear he carries it around everywhere we go, which is fine... except the zipper is broken! and it was the most annoying thing all week!

but anyways we were off to the buffalo airport, which took us about 2hours-ish to get to from my house. we stopped off at a resturant and then headed into parking....

up next... the airport! (how exciting!)

Are We There Yet?

Ahh, the age old question! I'll make this post short and sweet. We got to the airport at 5ish and got through security with no problems. Craigs parents are so friggin cute and they watched us alll the way through security until we got to the other side :lovestruc .

So we already had a pretty bleh meal at some resturant beside the airport so we walked around some shops and sat down for a drink before we had to head to our gate.

Our plane left a bit after 7. It was kinda strange being with Craig on a plane, but I was more happy that we took off on time so we were able to catch our connecting flight on time! We did catch it on time and time went by pretty fast to Orlando once we got onto plane number 2. The best part of the flight was the fact that we were in the emerg exit row so we got LOTS of leg room. ahh

So we landed at MCO at 11:30ish (i think). The airport was pretty dead and we stopped to take this pic, which unfortunatly came our blurry.

and it was at the moment that i realize, holy moly im in disney world with Craig!!

So we went and grabbed our bags, which luckily landed with us and then practically ran down to level one to catch the magic express.

We were quickly seated on the ME for the first time and as soon as that video came on I started tearing up, which Craig then proceeded to make fun of me (hmph!)

And soon enough we saw...

Giant Moths, Frogs and Stained Floors. Oh My!!!

So as I left off, we had just driven under that magical wonderful sign! Oh, how i love that sign! There weren't many people on the bus and our stop was first. We pulled into PoP and saw all the silly little signs like colored TV and air conditioned rooms and we finially got to the front! it was surprising to me how far back the actual hotel was from the gate.

We were both so excited to see the big POP sign but we were so so tired by this point (about 1am) from traveling all day that we went right to check in. There was no one else there so we were taken care of right away. We were given Craigs first visit button and two Happy Anniversary buttons. We had requested a king sized bed but there were none available but we were okay with two double beds anyways. Then we were given a map and some very vague directions to our room. We were in the eighties building.

So off we skipped to our room... and we oooh'd and coo'd at all the cute little bunnies everywhere and approached the buildings. First building wasn't ours, second building wasnt ours.... at this point we were getting somewhat annoyed but we kept on treking. We stopped and looked at the map we were given again and it was then that Craig realized that his beloved bandana fell off his backpack. and this is where he got very annoyed! remember how he says he takes this backpack everywhere? we'll this bandana has been on his backpack for all that time too. its been everywhere with him, every show hes been to, every trip all around the world hes taken, everywhere, and truth be told Craigs a bit sentamental about those kinda things. So we thought we should find our room and then take a walk around again to find the backpack. So we kept walking... and walking...

I'm off in my own world of exhaustion from no sleep before and as we walk around one of the buildings all I see is this GIANGANTIC moth looking bug on the wall.... I'm not lying... this this was as big as my hand and i promise I'm not exaggerating. So i start screaming like the siss I am and run up to Craig who was too annoyed to even make fun of me. But we keep walking.... and walking... and then we stop again and I start complaining my back hurts and Craig just told me to stop whining which then caused me to give him the silent treatment!

At this point I was ready to just sleep on the sidewalk, but then the image of the giant moth entered my mind again and I was determined to find this room. So off we went... AGAIN... this time in silence because we were annoyed with each other! ugh so we were almost at what we thought was the right cluster of buildings when a huge frog jumps out and scares the crap out of Craig! he hates frogs as much as i hate bugs and he just started running lol :rotfl: this broke the silence very quickly and soon we were both laughing... and questioning our choice to stay at a value resort!!

And then there it was....the right building.... the furtherest possible building ever! So we quickly find our room and found this little guy was waiting for us in our room....

Since we were going to look for Craigs bandana we decided to walk to the main building and tell them about the stains in our room as well.

So off we trekked, this time there was no wildlife to scare us and while we didnt find Craigs banada :guilty: we did find the main building pretty easily. Go figure!

And this my friends... is where i leave you with the cliffhanger!... what will happen next? will we have to live with the yucky stains? will we get an upgrade to the castle suite? (:laughing:) Will a the giant moth reappear!? you'll find out soon!

How was the Castle Dream Suite?;):)Just remember moths,frogs,etc.are not ONLY at Value Resorts.:)In fact,the only snake I have seen at any Resort I was staying at was at Port Orleans-Riverside(sorry,but Value Resorts get "picked on" a lot ):).I am going to guess that you got transferred to an IllumiNations-View room or a Preferred Room(at no extra cost).:)

Aw man...you guys are so cute. You make me miss my boy. He's deployed right now for the army. :sad1: And the last time I flew out to see him (the night before he left), we were going to split the cost but then he paid for everything so I wouldn't have to worry about having money for Disney. It made my heart melt when he said that. Aw.

Anywho, when he gets out of the army, we are planning on going on a Disney vacation. I think we're doing definitely doing the parks, but then also going on a cruise. I can't wait. Stay on the Dis and you and Craig should come with us!! lol!! It'll be a few years though...but thats okay!

Wow I have alot to catch up on! Ok I love the luggage pic!! So true, so true! I'm glad you had a good flight! It was the same way for me, very weird to have Ian on the plane with me but very exciting!! Ian was definitely talking about our next trip by like the second day too! Ugh sorry about the stains, how gross. We didn't have any problems with our room. Hmm I wonder what's going to happen with your room! We had a tough time finding our room too and it was in the 60s section like right next to the main building! I hope things go better for you!!

Hi there! Great TR so far. I followed you over from your dining review thread. I'm looking forward to hearing how you got DBF hooked on that Disney feeling.

We're flying out of Buffalo for our Thanksgiving trip. Jet Blue and Southwest both have direct flights to and from Orlando from Buffalo, just FYI for your next trip. It's so awesome to just have to get on one plane and then poof! you're in Orlando.

An Upgrade!!

So what happened with our room?
Well we got to front desk and we told them about the stain and they said unfortunately they were completely booked up due to free dining but they would move us in the morning. I had asked the lady if there was any way we could get a king sized bed room in the morning, but she said that she wouldn’t be able to do that. So we were told they would call us in the morning and if we wanted to move rooms then we could just leave our luggage, go to the parks and come pick our key after the parks. We said ok and off we went back to the room, which was much easier to find this time. Too bad we still couldn’t find Craigs bandana (but don’t worry hes over it!)

Once we got back to the room we decided that we would just stay in the room because we wanted to just get unpacked and it was just some small stains, who cares? If they were just going to move us to another double bed room anyways there would really be no difference so why go through the trouble of moving... that and the fact that I wanted to unpack and not worry about it.. And besides we were away from the noise and near the computer pool. So we grabbed a quick snack of chips, unpacked and then went to sleep around 3am! Good thing we had a late reservation in the morning.

So we woke up the next morning at 9am for our 11am reservation, and even though I should have been exhausted I was awake and super excited! We checked our voicemail and we did have a message to call front desk, so I did and just as I was about tell them we would just stay in our room they said that they were giving us a preferred room, king sized bed with a fridge in the 70s building! YAY!! I was super happy, especially after sleeping with Craig in a very small double bed lol and we quickly packed back up and started to get ready for the day. As I was getting ready the phone rang again and Craig answered it and told someone to come on over... I assumed that it was the guy for our luggage, but I was wrong!!!

So who came to the door anyways?? I’ll give you a hint... It wasn’t the bellboy and it was something(s) that made me very happy!

How was the Castle Dream Suite?;):)Just remember moths,frogs,etc.are not ONLY at Value Resorts.:)In fact,the only snake I have seen at any Resort I was staying at was at Port Orleans-Riverside(sorry,but Value Resorts get "picked on" a lot ):).I am going to guess that you got transferred to an IllumiNations-View room or a Preferred Room(at no extra cost).:)

haha i wish it was the castle dream suite!! i know they probably aren't and we didnt see any again after that night, the reason being was we thought the delux and mods were all indoor hotels but we found our later thats not the case!

and we did get the prefered room :) so great guess!

Aw man...you guys are so cute. You make me miss my boy. He's deployed right now for the army. :sad1: And the last time I flew out to see him (the night before he left), we were going to split the cost but then he paid for everything so I wouldn't have to worry about having money for Disney. It made my heart melt when he said that. Aw.

Anywho, when he gets out of the army, we are planning on going on a Disney vacation. I think we're doing definitely doing the parks, but then also going on a cruise. I can't wait. Stay on the Dis and you and Craig should come with us!! lol!! It'll be a few years though...but thats okay!

Hi there! Great TR so far. I followed you over from your dining review thread. I'm looking forward to hearing how you got DBF hooked on that Disney feeling.

We're flying out of Buffalo for our Thanksgiving trip. Jet Blue and Southwest both have direct flights to and from Orlando from Buffalo, just FYI for your next trip. It's so awesome to just have to get on one plane and then poof! you're in Orlando.

In the basket was chocolates, a signed mickey and Minnie picture, cookies, champaigne and two glass flutes with a mickey head pattern. He then told me he chose this as my surprise because he wanted to keep the flutes to use at our wedding. :love:

Craig had actually video taped me when I came out but it accidently got deleted! : ( But I was just so happy I literally jumped on him (after he put the surprise down of course!)

Our First Taste of Disney

So after getting all out stuff packed up and recovering from the sweet surprises we were off on our way to 1900 Park Fare! I figured schedualing a late breakfast with some characters would be a great way to ease Craig into all the Disney stuff!

We took the buses to Magic Kingdom, and then headed over to the resport boat launches for the Grand Floridian Resort. The boat ride over was pretty fun, I had never been at any boat at Disney World. Craig thought it was impressive that they had boats AND monorails AND busses going to the resorts and parks! Hehe

We got to the Grand Floridian a bit early so we went to the podium and they gave us one of those buzzers. We went to wander in the gift shops and lobby and after no time we were called. We both got our picture taken and then we were seated. We both thought the restaurant was so so pretty.

So our waitress came over, and then we were off to get our first round of food.

Throughout the breakfast we were visited twice by Mary Poppins, Alice, the Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger! We both liked Mary Poppins the best! She was very in character and very sweet.

Next was Alice, she was pretty good but not as authentic as Mary Poppins. I for some reason forgot that Alice is English in the movie and I said something like, I didn’t know Alice was English and she looked at me strangely and she was like yes yes she is. And i was like o.. okay then! I was kinda outta it at that morning I don’t know how i could forget that.. even craig gave me “the look” :rotfl:

Next came Pooh and Tigger who were very cute, and Craigs first fuzzy character meeting!

Last to visit us was Mad Hatter! I was pretty excited to meet him! He was pretty crazy! He was talking to some teens at the table beside us about piercing their ears or something like that and we he came to us he took one look at me and looked back at them and said... and said some people even pierce their nose... and then he turned to Craig and said very loudly AND SOME EVEN TO THIER LIPS! OH MY GOD! Lol Craig wasn’t very impressed. He posed for some pics with us and then noticed I had my happy anniversary button on and yelled out well HAPPPY ANNIVERSARY! And then proceeded to very loudly asked me if I was just with him because he was rich lol I thought he was pretty funny.

After we finished eating we wandered around the resort for a bit and took some pics. The Grand Floridian is sooo beautiful! Its definitely my second choice as to where I’d like to stay next time (first choice is the Poly!)

I think it looks FANTASTIC and I teared up just watching it! Craig has already agreed we are definitly 100% going back in 2012 for this, the new star tours and the new harry potter land! sooo happy! :banana::banana:

I know alot of people do not like that toontown is being demolished but personally I didnt really like toon town and felt it didnt fit in with the rest of the MK. I was very happy to hear that none of the other fantasyland rides would be touched, if that was the case I would not be supportive AT ALL!

I think what I'm most excited for is the Little Mermaid ride and Im sure Craig will be excited for Gastons Pub! hehe

The only thing I dont like about the expansion is the Dumbo thing. Dumbo to me is such a strong MK icon and I think the thought of two dumbos sounds kind of weird. I think the circus thing sounds really good but I think there should only be one Dumbo! And im kinda sad that Dumbo will no longer be behind the castle :( But I'm sure they will make it looks fantasic and I wont be complaining as soon as I see it!

I think the new Fantaysland is going to be AWESOME!What is going to be added is SO much more than what will be lost with the end of Toontown.Historically,Toontown was never intended to be a permanent part of Magic Kingdom.I wonder if this is a direct response to Universal's expansion plans.One thing that caught my attention was the "Castle walls" that Guests will walk throughn to enter the new area.They look amazing.This doubling of size is finally going to end the TERRIBLE "Fantasyland Bottleneck"!:)

Hey all! Hope everyone is doim good! Just wanted to give you all a quick update on my life! I started my new position at my job and so far its been really great! I work as a resource person for a before and after school program and I used to have my own program but now I go from program to program helping out and giving ideas. Its pretty fun and its something new and exciting everyday!

Ive also made a huge life decision and I was tryibng to decide what to do for my post grad, Human Resources or Teaching and Im going with teaching! I’m applying this month so wish me luck! The only bad part of this decision is moving in with Craig will have to wait a while longer till Im done schooling :sad2: which makes me sad since he lives so far away from meee! grr

And as for Craig well he is just looking for a full time job in journalism and he is actually just returning from a weekend trip to new York with his family because his grandma is here from England!

So lucky him for two vacations!! While im at work!! Yuck!

Magic Kingdom: Part One

So when I last left off we were at the Grand Floridian Monerail station waiting for the monorail. It quickly came and within minutes we had arrived at the Magic Kingdom.

Anyways so we had planned on trying our Ridemax for the day but that didn’t start until 3:30pm (after the parade) and it was only 12ish so we decided to walk around for a bit!

Haunted Mansion is one of my faves, and I knew Craig would love it! Which he did!! He was completely amazed by the awesomeness that is the Haunted Mansion. I knew I had him hooked!!!

After the Haunted Mansion it was about 2:15pm. We decided to go look for the perfect parade spot, have a nice cold drink and sit and relax before the parade. And the perfect parade spot we did find. The pics would have been PERFECT except for the crane!!! But im still very happy with how the pics turned out!

I loveee this parade! It was so cute and Im so glad we got such awesome spots! We were completely unobstructed with no one in front of us and the castle in the background! We also got a ton of character interaction! Chip and Dale came over to us were playing around and Genie came over and kissed my hand! O la la! Hehe I was just so happy during this parade I think I coulda cried.

Hi all sorry Ive been MIA! Ive been SOOOO busy and exhausted getting used to this new position at work and applying for teachers college! Ugh! Craig is back home from NY though now! YAY! Finially I got all the videos on my computer from the trip, but Im a bit sad because some of them didn’t upload :( and we didn’t realize it until after ! o well we still have TONS! I think after this update (it’s a BIG one!) Im gunna try and start working on my video!

I'm back now though and will try my best to do one update a day!! :)

Just a quick thought on Ridemax since you will be hearing alot about it in my next posts... RIDEMAX IS AWESOME!! It works and it is TOTALLY worth every penny! Both me and Craig were amazed by how accurate and well it worked! I will do a full review of it at the end!

Anyways onto a Ridemax afternoon!

Day 1: Magic Kingdom Continued

So after the parade we started to use Ridemax. We wanted to test it out today because it was a more relaxed stoll around the park and we wanted to see how accurate it was before we trusted it on our more packed days. The first thing it suggested we do is get FPs for Splash Mountain but we had already done that when we were wondering around Frontier Land.

So our next stop was Mickey’s PhilharMagic, which was another one of my faves. There was a 5 minute wait and we were quickly seated. Unfortunatly we were seated at the end of the row so some of the effects did not work. And I was seated beside a very loud obnoxious family who insisted on taking pictures and speaking loudly throughout the whole show. It was still a great show but that took away from it a bit.

After PhilharMagic we looked around Fantasy Land for a bit and took some pics. I am so glad we took these Dumbo pictures because next time we go to Magic Kingdom, it wont look like this anymore!

We didn’t do any other fantasyland rides today because we had all of those planned for the morning of our last day. The line ups were pretty long right now anyways. We still loved walking around, I love fantasy land. Its got such a special feel to it. Here are some pics we took.

The next thing on our plan was Monsters Inc. So off to TomorrowLand we went.

Just as ridemax suggested there was only a 15 minute wait for Monsters Inc. (RIDEMAX IS ALWAYS RIGHT!!!) We actually probably only waited around 10. This attraction was Craig’s choice, I personally didn’t care if we went or not but I’m actually glad we did because it was actually really funny!! We both loved it!

After that we went and grabbed some FPs for Buzz and went to Carosel of Progress. That’s when we saw Buzz! Craig lit up like a little boy! Buzz was the one character Craig insisted on meeting because he’s his favorite! So in line we got and after a couple minuted Craig got to meet his hero!

Aren’t they cute?! Buzz pointed to Craigs shirt and gave him the thumbs up, which had him in huge smiles and after they were done he came up to me and proudly pronounced that Buzz liked his shirt. Lol I was like yes Craig, I know I was there! Haha TOO CUTE!

So we went to COP next, which, surprise surprise did not have a line! We got on and we were enjoying the song when we got STUCK!!!

We had to watch the same scene 3 times! Ugh. NOT FUN! We were finially evacuated.

After that we went onto Buzz and while at first I was winning, Craig came out victorious. So YAY Craig!!

We both loved it in here! So many cute photo ops, a great place to see some Disney movie history and they even play little movie clips. We saw one other person in there while we were there! We got her to take this pic of us.

After Exposition Hall we headed out to get some Taco Salads for dinner at Pecos Bill. It was sooo good and if you wanna read my review please check out my dining review!

After dinner it was time to hit Splash Mountain. I was so excited because I hadn’t been on since I was a kid, last time I went it was closed for refurbs.

We both LOVED it and the songs were caught in our head all day! We didn’t get a drop of water on us either!

After Splash it was time for Spectro Magic. We couldn’t find a spot in front so we asked a cast member and they suggested we go to Pecos Bill and watch it. There were a couple others there and we just copied them by standing on a stool and watching over the fence.

We (well more me) were both in awe of how beautiful Spectro was! It was wonderful! I had never seen it before!

After Spectro we decided to skip Wishes because we were tired and didn’t want to be stuck in the rush afterwards so we headed back to the bus stop and soon enough we were back at POP.

We were excited because our new room was ready! We were sooo excited to have a king sized bed! and a much much closer room! it took us no time to find it! We went back to the room to watch some Stacy TV and a show on DVC membership!

thank u!! exposition hall is right beside tonys town square resturant as you enter the park. in the front, its where you can get all your photopass stuff done and if you go towards the back of the building its where all the cutouts and screen is. its so quiet and its a great place to get away for a few minutes, as mentioned above :)

make sure you take tons of pics! im really disappointed i didnt take more pics of toon town, actually i dont think i took many last time i went to disney either.

Hi all! I'm just about to post part one of Sea World but I wanted to share my ridemax review with everyone, especially those interested in posting it!

I actually posted my review in the Ridemax Thread on the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategy Board so I'm just copying and pasting for you guys!!

Ridemax Review

Just wanted to say I was at Disney Aug 22-Aug 31 and I purchased and used ridemax and it was AMAZING!!

We only used it to plan parts of our days for some days (ie a morning at MK with all the fantasy land rides then left the rest of the day free)
and on somedays we used it for the whole day and it was ALWAYS right or the lines were shorter then what was on the sheet! The tips were so so helpful!

DBF and I were both a little hesitant to try it at first because we were unsure if it would work, or if we wanted our day on a schedual like that but we were so so happy we got it and are 100% satified and will definitly use it again on our next trip!! We got to do everything we wanted to do and even got to see most of the big rides twice by getting extra FPs here and there and we sometimes added in a ride or two if a line was really short or stopped and saw characters etc. we found as long as we did the rides in order suggested and around the time suggested it worked perfectly! We didnt feel rushed or annoyed to follow a schedual at all, we didnt follow it to a tee we just used the general order they suggested and it worked!! In fact DBF who was most hesitant actually said he wished he had ridemax on the days we went to SeaWorld and Universal .

One thing to keep in mind, we found it to be alot of walking from one end of the park to the other so it might not be good for people who dont want to walk all over or who have little ones but for us (two twenty-somethings) we were fine with it! I think there is a "slow" option on ridemax that keeps you in the same area tho.. so that might be a solution to cut down on some walking?

Bottomeline: WE LOVE RIDEMAX!

Bonus: One more reason for loving Ridemax is that its proving to be a huge help in helping me remember what order we did stuff in when Im doing my TR! :)

Day 2: Sea World Part 1

On Day 2 we decided to head out to Sea World. This was all my idea, Craig had no desire to go but of course came along to make me happy! I wasn’t sure what to expect with Sea World, we have a Marine Land near us which is the same sorta thing, whales, dolphins and roller coasters, but Marine Land is pretty brutal. Its old, theres not much to do and you can see that the animals aren’t taken care of. I originally wanted to spend this day doing

Discovery Cove to do the dolphin swim, but it was way too expensive so we decided to give Sea World a go instead.

We used Mears for transportation and they were there right on time at the front of PoP. Into our shuttle we went and a very short time later we were at Sea World.

We walked over to the front and took a pic in front of the light house. Already Craig was unimpressed, especially after being in the Magic Kingdom the day before.

We had prebought the tickets and got a great deal, we got in for the same price as kids! The tickets worked fine at the gate. So into Sea World we went.

A few minutes after we entered they played the National Anthem. Craig and I weren’t sure what to do, as we’ve never heard O Canada played at any theme park we’ve been to before, btu everyone else stopped so we did too. After that was done it was time for what I was most excited for!

The one thing I really wanted to do was feed the dolphins. We walked right over to Dolphin Cove, stopping to see the flamingos on the way.

We spent a couple minutes watching them then back on our way to Dolphin Cove. We got there pretty quickly, but it wasn’t open yet! They did have a dolphin feeding going on so we went and watched a few minutes of that.

Then we went over to the StingRay exhibit right beside it. It was pretty cool, they had baby sting rays and adult ones. It was really neat to watch the way they swim, they actually lift out of the water.

Around 9:30 they opened Dolphin Cove. We were the second ones in line so I was pretty excited! We bought our fish, and they gave us a quick review of what we needed to do and some safety rules and to the ledge we went to meet the dolphins!

Dolphin Cove was AWESOME! It was $7 for a tray of fish, but they gave us quite a bit of time with the dolphins, definitely more then we were expecting! The dolphins were very eager to eat and they were so playful and interactive! So many of them were coming up to us! Craig, who was somewhat nervous to do this had a great time too. He said it was a really fun experience. We both really liked it!!

After that we headed to our first show of the day, Horizons.

To be honest, we thought the camera had broke (turns out it was just full!) so we spent most of the show trying to figure out what was wrong with it!

So we didn’t really catch that much of the actual show, but we did catch the dolphins and the acrobatics. We liked what we did see though!

That was great that they let you feed the dolphins...when we went, you couldn't do that! :sad2: Did you know that you could pet the sting rays? They are so soft...they feel like velvet! Did they let you pet the dolphins while you were there or just feed them? We are undecided what to do on our last day when we go in December...maybe Sea World again! We don't fly out until 7:30 so we have most of the day!

Anyway, I'm LOVING yours too! I'm super jealous about your Sea World day. I wish we could've have one. When I was little I wanted to be a dolphin trainer or a marine biologist. I was just so in love with the ocean and I love killer whales and dolphins! I think they are just so beautiful and majestic!

I can't wait to see more. And of course, majestic or not...Sea World is still no Disney! And I'd choose Disney ANY day!! So glad you got to do both!!

Our First Taste of Disney



So after getting all out stuff packed up and recovering from the sweet surprises we were off on our way to 1900 Park Fare! I figured schedualing a late breakfast with some characters would be a great way to ease Craig into all the Disney stuff!

We took the buses to Magic Kingdom, and then headed over to the resport boat launches for the Grand Floridian Resort. The boat ride over was pretty fun, I had never been at any boat at Disney World. Craig thought it was impressive that they had boats AND monorails AND busses going to the resorts and parks! Hehe

We got to the Grand Floridian a bit early so we went to the podium and they gave us one of those buzzers. We went to wander in the gift shops and lobby and after no time we were called. We both got our picture taken and then we were seated. We both thought the restaurant was so so pretty.

So our waitress came over, and then we were off to get our first round of food.

Throughout the breakfast we were visited twice by Mary Poppins, Alice, the Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger! We both liked Mary Poppins the best! She was very in character and very sweet.



Next was Alice, she was pretty good but not as authentic as Mary Poppins. I for some reason forgot that Alice is English in the movie and I said something like, I didn’t know Alice was English and she looked at me strangely and she was like yes yes she is. And i was like o.. okay then! I was kinda outta it at that morning I don’t know how i could forget that.. even craig gave me “the look” :rotfl:


Next came Pooh and Tigger who were very cute, and Craigs first fuzzy character meeting!


Last to visit us was Mad Hatter! I was pretty excited to meet him! He was pretty crazy! He was talking to some teens at the table beside us about piercing their ears or something like that and we he came to us he took one look at me and looked back at them and said... and said some people even pierce their nose... and then he turned to Craig and said very loudly AND SOME EVEN TO THIER LIPS! OH MY GOD! Lol Craig wasn’t very impressed. He posed for some pics with us and then noticed I had my happy anniversary button on and yelled out well HAPPPY ANNIVERSARY! And then proceeded to very loudly asked me if I was just with him because he was rich lol I thought he was pretty funny.


After we finished eating we wandered around the resort for a bit and took some pics. The Grand Floridian is sooo beautiful! Its definitely my second choice as to where I’d like to stay next time (first choice is the Poly!)

Idk how I feel just yet.. kinda excited..kinda bummed they aren't going bigger and more bad ***..especially for the year 2012. glad they are ridding toon town.

I think it looks FANTASTIC and I teared up just watching it! Craig has already agreed we are definitly 100% going back in 2012 for this, the new star tours and the new harry potter land! sooo happy! :banana::banana:

I know alot of people do not like that toontown is being demolished but personally I didnt really like toon town and felt it didnt fit in with the rest of the MK. I was very happy to hear that none of the other fantasyland rides would be touched, if that was the case I would not be supportive AT ALL!
that was my only worry! that they would get rid of snow white and peter pan.. i owulda been outraged!
I think what I'm most excited for is the Little Mermaid ride and Im sure Craig will be excited for Gastons Pub! hehe

The only thing I dont like about the expansion is the Dumbo thing. Dumbo to me is such a strong MK icon and I think the thought of two dumbos sounds kind of weird. I think the circus thing sounds really good but I think there should only be one Dumbo! And im kinda sad that Dumbo will no longer be behind the castle :( But I'm sure they will make it looks fantasic and I wont be complaining as soon as I see it!

Anyways whats everyone elses thoughts?!

i am sure it will be magical, but like I said, I think they could have incorporated bigger themes.. or more rides..or something. seems so cheesed down for the year 2012

After we were done in Tomorrowland we just had free time until Dinner. We first checked out one of the gift shops to try on some hats!

Then we wandered on over to Toon Town to check out Mickey and Minnies Houses. We both thought they were very cute but we liked Minnie’s house better! The only thing that sucked was the crazy amount of people in there! Holy Clousterphobia!

Craig took this pic because he thought it was cute that a little bird was hiding in the mouth!

We wandered around Toon Town for a bit more but didn’t see much there. Its weird to think next time we’re there it wont exist! Kinda wished we had taken more pics!

We caught the train back to the front of the park

SO CUTE!

and went to check out Exposition Hall. It was completely empty!



We both loved it in here! So many cute photo ops, a great place to see some Disney movie history and they even play little movie clips. We saw one other person in there while we were there! We got her to take this pic of us.

OMG.. I totalllly forgot about Exposition Hall! even after I kept saying, don't forget to got there thsi trip Jenn! Great pics though!

After Exposition Hall we headed out to get some Taco Salads for dinner at Pecos Bill. It was sooo good and if you wanna read my review please check out my dining review!

After dinner it was time to hit Splash Mountain. I was so excited because I hadn’t been on since I was a kid, last time I went it was closed for refurbs.

We both LOVED it and the songs were caught in our head all day! We didn’t get a drop of water on us either!
We just rode that for the first time and loved it too!!
After Splash it was time for Spectro Magic. We couldn’t find a spot in front so we asked a cast member and they suggested we go to Pecos Bill and watch it. There were a couple others there and we just copied them by standing on a stool and watching over the fence.

We (well more me) were both in awe of how beautiful Spectro was! It was wonderful! I had never seen it before!
It is my fave!

After Spectro we decided to skip Wishes because we were tired and didn’t want to be stuck in the rush afterwards so we headed back to the bus stop and soon enough we were back at POP.

We were excited because our new room was ready! We were sooo excited to have a king sized bed! and a much much closer room! it took us no time to find it! We went back to the room to watch some Stacy TV and a show on DVC membership!

We loved our king sized bed and especially our fridge! Yay for upgrades!!

it was fun! we just prebought them on the sea world orlando website. they had a special going on that you can buy adult tickets for a kids price and get a second day free for about 64 bucks. Im not sure if they still have that going on but definitly a good deal!

Day 2: Sea World Part 2

After we finished watching Horizons we headed over to the other side of the park.

We first stopped at waterfront first and took some pics. It was completely empty! We saw only two other people around. This wasnt the case later in the day but it was nice to have such a pretty area to ourselves for a bit.

Then we were off to walk along the dock to the other side of the park. It took quite a bit of walking to get over there!

We still had some time before the next Shamu show started so we checked out the Wild Arctic walk through. We didnt end up doing the ride itself because Craig's tummy was not feeling very well. There was no line up for the walk through area of the ride so we walked right in. We sat through a (very boring) video and then went into the walk through. Unfortunatly it was pretty dark so we couldnt take many pics. We did get these two of us in the polar bear area.

In the wild arctic exhibit they had belugas, walruses and polar bears. Unfortunatly there were no polar bears out and about on this day :( I was kinda disappointed but the belugas were very cute and the walruses were weird to watch. This one huge guy kept swimming into the window over and over. It was actually kinda sad to see. I think he was bored.

After Wild Arctic we headed over to the game area! Craig tried his hand at breaking the plates.

He lost! So he tried again in the arcade at one of the claw games.. and again he lost! So i decided to show him how its done and won a little penguin!!

It was a very sweet show. It actually made me a bit teary eyed. I'm not usually into shows like this but I liked this one except for one factor. I really wasnt impressed to see the trainers riding around on the back of Shamu. It kinda bothered me. Other then that it was a sweet show with a nice message... which to be honest I forget what it was lol but I remember it was a nice message. Oh and btw if you plan on seeing Believe... BELIEVE that you WILL get soaked in the soak zone!! That whale is one heck of a splashing machine!

After the Shamu show was over we went to explore and find some lunch. And lunch we did find. It was HORRENDOUS. Such a bad experiance! You can check out my food report for more info if you're interested!

Day 2: Sea World Part 3

After we were done our horrible lunch we decided to spend the last couple hours checking out all the exhibits. We decided not to check out any of the rides because Im not a big rollar coaster fan and Craig didnt think they looked any good. Fine with me!!


The first exhibit we checked out was the shark tunnel! It was pretty cool but VERY crowded!! ugh! and bad lighting so again no pictures in the tunnel but this was from outside!

Next we stopped by to say hello to the Clysdale horses, but that was a very short hello because they were pretty stinky!

After the penguin encounter we took soem cheesey photo booth photos and then I played one of those squirting gun games and won myself a dolphin! (because Craig sucks at Carnival games and Im amazing at them haha)

After then penguin encounter it was off to the sea lions!! Also loved this exhibit because I LOVE sea lions!! You could also feed them but we decided not to because we're kinda cheap lol.

We passed by Atlantis, we wanted to ride but we were running out of time and i still wanted to see the orcas and dolphins under water viewing and mears was comign back to get us soon.

So off to see Shamu we went. There were actually three orcas on display! We stayed here for a while. It was just so amazing to see them play and swim around.

The last stop was back to Dolphin Cove to check out the underground viewing. We missed it earlier because we were trying to catch the Horizons show. Watching these dolphins under water was just such a touching experiance. They are just the most amazing creatures. They interacted so much with one another and there was even a baby dolphin swimmin with her mommy :love:

lol i actually bought the movie a while ago... it was on sale for 5 bucks!! weird story I used to loveee the guy from it and i looked him up like a couple years ago and hes like a no one now and in some band. so i emailed him on hsi bands webpage and we exchanged a few emails and stuff and i told him i had a huge crush on him when i was a kid. lol :rotfl:

dont be sad! just plan for next time if u have time!! we enjoyed it but probably wont go back again until we have kids.

haha well its definitly something I would recommend doing once if you have a thing for sea animals! that being said I wouldnt go back for many years because i just feel it its a park that more a (really nice) amusement park instead of an experaince like Disney! know what i mean?! We did have a great day though!

lol i actually bought the movie a while ago... it was on sale for 5 bucks!! weird story I used to loveee the guy from it and i looked him up like a couple years ago and hes like a no one now and in some band. so i emailed him on hsi bands webpage and we exchanged a few emails and stuff and i told him i had a huge crush on him when i was a kid. lol :rotfl:

dont be sad! just plan for next time if u have time!! we enjoyed it but probably wont go back again until we have kids.

Day 2: The Great Spagetti Adventure at DTD

So after waiting FOREVER for Mears to arrive in the hot hot sun

they finially decided to arrive with a huge motor coach bus. Our driver was super nice and he was singing along to every song haha

We returned pretty early, about 4pm and we took a shower and relaxed for a bit and then started trying to decide what to eat. I had seen some pics on some food porn thread of spagetti and meatballs from Wolfgang Puck Express. I knew I wanted to try it out at some point on our vacation so I thought tonight would be good for that!

So we went and caught a bus for DTD and soon enough we arrived. I had never been to DTD really except for Pleasure Island on New Years two years ago. I was excited to look around. We didnt take any pics because it was supposed to be a quick look around and grab the food and go home sorta thing! We had an actual DTD night planned later in the trip so you will see pics from then!

So we checked out a few of the stores and then we passed by Cookes of Dublin and I remembered that I MUST get a Doh Bar!! So after waiting in line for what seemed like FOREVER we finially got our taste of this delicious fried chocolate bar that I had been dreaming about. It was everything I imagined and more. You can read about it on my Food Report if you'd like!

So after that we continued on to Wolf Gang Puck Express and got some drinks along the way. This is where my back started to really hurt. I have really bad lower back problems and its acts up sometimes. I guess being on my feet for the last two days was starting to get to me. Usually if I take an advil I'm ok but I didnt have any on me! But I was determined to get this spagetti and meatballs so we kept on trekkin! We finially got to Wolf Gang's only to find out that they do not serve the spagetti (or any pasta) at the Express part anymore!! GRRR!! I was pretty bummed. We were gunna get some Earl of Sandwhich instead but I was feeling pretty pigish so we decided to just get some pizza back at the resort so back to PoP we went.

We grabbed a cab back home because my back was pretty bad at this point. Once we got there we ordered a whole pizza from the food court (counts as two CS) and went back to our room, watched some TV and pigged out!!

I took an advil and I felt much better. So we called for our wake up call and off to sleep we went.

Day 3: Disneys Hollywood Studios: Part One

We got up bright and early to ensure we got to DHS in time for Rope Drop because this was the big one. This was the one that Ridemax STRESSED we MUST get there on time for. That even one minute of lateness could cause disasterous consequences for our whole intinerary.

So what was the reason for all this stress? Why Toy Story Mania of course! We got to the park before it was open but there was still a HUGE amount of people. So we took our place in line and the gates opened, and of course we picked the slowest moving line of ALL time. Ugh! So we finially got in and we joined the running of the crazed tourists to TSM. We ended up taking a wrong turn! But we quickly regained the pack.

We finially arrived at TSM and the line was already pretty long for FPs. We got in line anyways and after a 15min wait we got our coveted TSM passes. Whew. What Drama!

And now we were ready to start our day. First ride of the day was the one Craig was most excited for (well besides the Drew Carry ride, but that was closed, and yes i am serious!.) We headed to Star Tours (yawn!) We took some obligitory DHS pics along the way.

We also passed by all the Head Busts, Craig took the oppertunity to hang out with Bill Cosby and wisper sweet nothings in Operah's ear.

We kept on walking until we reached our destiniation.. Craig was just the most excited guy ever as we finially got to Star Wars and with a five minute wait we headed on in.

The ride was a disappointment to both of us. Me because well quite frankly I dont care for Star Wars at ALL. And for Craig because he thought it was gunna be cooler, and he thought the ride was outdated. He is super excited they are updating it though, and he loved all the "awesome" star wars stuff. Afterwards we went outside and spent quite a bit of time taking photos.

This picture is pretty funny, we had gone across the ride and there was supposed to be some movie prop bike thingy and Craig was so stoked to take a pic on it.... only to find it not there! :( It was being repainted! Poor Craig.

After Star Tours we headed off to the Great Movie Ride, which I didnt even know existed until doing research for this trip (this will become a reoccuring theme throughout the trip!) We both thought it was OK. We had the gangsters highjack our car. It was just meh in my opinion (sorry to all the fans out there).

After GMR we headed over to grab some FPs for my favorite ride, Rockin Roller Coaster! I was SO excited to get on that!

After grabbing our FPs we headed over to One Man's Dream. I love this walk through and think it is such an important part of Disney. Craig loved it as well and we had a great time taking pictures and looking at some of the amazing things Walt had accomplished.

We finshed off with One Man's Dream we then decided to head off to Sci Fi Diner. We were a bit early for our ressie but we didnt mind, we sat down and enjoyed the air conditioning while we waited for our seat. This day actually ended up being the hottest on the trip.

Day 3: Lunch at Sci Fi

Craig and I were both very excited for the Sci Fi Resturant. I was especially looking forward to the shrimp pasta, my favourite combonation of food. Mmmm!

We checked in on time, but we still had to wait a while for our table. It was okay though because the AC was a welcome break. As we were waiting I was amazed by the number of people just walking up trying to get a table, whats worse is alot of them had no idea you even had to have reservations for the restaurants. I felt awful for those people because with free dining going on, they probably didn’t have much luck.

So we finially got called to our table, we were the hitchhikers behind a family of four. Now while I think Sci Fi has such a cool theme and atmosphere, both of us were not too fond of the seating. The family in front of us was very nice but with two little girls, one of whom was very cranky, it got somewhat annoying to be in such close quarters. Other then that though, we both really enjoyed the place.

Craig got a cherry coke, which made him very excited! And i got a vanilla milkshake which was just to die for!!! Best Milkshake I’ve ever had!!

After drooling over this plate for months I ordered the shrimp pasta of course. Hold the tomatoes please!

It was very very very yummy! The Shrimp were huge!! I loved it!! 9/10!! It
was a HUGE portion! I could only finish half!! But i made sure to eat all my shrimp (and there were ALOT of them!)

Craig got the burger. Sorry I don’t remember the exact name of it.

Our server wasn’t the greatest. He was ok but nothing more. One thing that somewhat annoyed us was he did not ask us what we wanted for dessert at the beginning of our meal, which was fine we figured we ordered at the end but he never mentioned dessert. He just brought us our the bill and asked us how we wanted to pay the tip. Craig then asked what about dessert? And he kinda seemed annoyed with us and said we never ordered them with our meal.. to which we responded we didn’t know we were supposed to?!
Anyways we did get our desserts! They weren’t very nicely put together as you will see but still very good!

He also gave this dessert a 10/10 and I tried and will agree with this rating! It was so delicious! But very filling!

We enjoyed Sci Fi alot and would recommend it. The best part about this restaurant is that its very quiet! I guess with everyone enjoying the movie clips and all.

uP next: The Tower of Terror Drama begins; Will TSM live up the the hype? Will we melt from the heat?!

its pretty brutal im not gunna lie, but its totally do able! just try to get over there as quick as you can as the line forms very very very fast! I find with reviews on sci fi its either a hit or miss for sure.

Day 3: Disneys Hollywood Studios: Part Two

After lunch at the Sci Fi we were ready to hit the hot hot heat again! We had some free time schedualed and then we were scheduled to watch the 3pm Block Party Blast but we decided we were going to skip that and use that time to wander instead.

First stop was the Voyage of the Little Mermaid show.

A show was just being let in and lucky us, we got front and center seats! Whats not to love about this show? Its one of my faves, probably because Little Mermaid is by far my favorite Disney movie and princess. I love the under the sea number and the movie clips playing in the background.

Second stop was the animation studio. There were two things I wanted to accomplish in there. Number One: Meet Sorcerer Mickey
Number Two: Meet the UP characters

Unfortunatly only one of those things happened! Before we got into the character meet and greets we checked out some of the art work. I really loved the Dumbo artwork and the movie cells. Craig said he definitly wants to get some cool Alice artwork for our house.

After wandering the paintings we wandered down to where the character meets were. First was FroZone. I had no real interest in meeting him, I havent even seen the Incredibles. But hes a pretty cool lookin dude and he had no line so we went and snapped a super awesome posed shot with him.

After that we headed over to the uP characters but there was a HUGE line so we went over to Mickey instead, hoping the line would be shorter when we were done. Heres us with the head honcho himself, he was a pretty flirty Mickey, blowing kisses and pulling me around. lol

After Mickey we headed back to the UP characters, but the line was SO huge. We still wanted to wander around so we decided to sacrafice the meeting of the up characters. We did get some cute shots of them anyways.

After the animation studios it was time for the bickering to begin. We headed over to Tower of Terror. And this is when my panic attack began to set in. Im not sure as to why but for some reason the thought of going on ToT this year scared the living beegeus out of me. Ive been on it a couple of times before and last time I was pretty scared too but was still about to go on. I told Craig I was pretty scared but I told him Im sure I would still go on. He was pretty insistent that he would really like it if I would go on with him. And I told him I would try my best to go on and we grabbed the FPs.

Everyone was taking lame "cheese" pics in front of the sign so we decided to be rebelious and stand on the ledge for ours and do a ridiculous pose. After we left we saw people copying our pose. Dont understand why.. since we look like huge geeks (I am pretty happy with this pic though! :laughing:).

After that we entered the line, and boy were we ever glad we got FPs for this line, because all I could hear as we got in line was loud chanting mixed in with the screaming and giggling of teenage girls. I thought to myself could it really be?? and it WAS! Lo and Behold we saw one of the mythical Brazillian Tour Groups you always hear about on the DIS. How exiting..... and annoying! Thank goodness the FP line moved VERY quickly. I couldnt help but feel sorry for the many annoyed looking people around those girls int he regular line. We were quickly seated in our limo seat and off we went!!

RnRC definitly did not dissapoint. It was SOOOOOOOOO much fun! Its still one of my faves and Craig LOVED it!

After RnRC it was time for ..... Toy Story Mania! So we headed on over back to Pixar place and into the insane line of TSM.

Even with our FPs we were still in line for QUITE a long time. We finially got to the front of the line and hopped onto our cart thingy and off we went.

While we both agreed that we probably dont think it was worth the 75 minute wait the regular que now has we did agree that we LOVED it!! It was so cool and we had so much fun playing the games. Both of our arms were so sore. We had made a bet going on while in line that if Craig won I had to go on ToT and if I won I could chicken out without Craig getting angry!

So who won TSM??? Will I actually go on ToT?! You'll find out on the final part of DHS!

Day 3: Disney's Hollywood Studios: Part Three


So when I left you hanging last, we were all wondering if Craig beat me at TSM! Well...he did!!

He was prettty happy about that. I, on the other hand was not. So as Craig gloated about his win and about how i now *HAVE* to go on ToT. Now I was really starting to get scared, but I tried to push the thought back in my mind as we headed to the streets of America. Our next ride was the Backlot Tour.

We loved the cool movie set look and with hardly anyone around it was easy to appriciate the detail in the set. We stopped and took some pics. Of course!

We kept walkign and soon ran into the new Power Rangers. We decided to pass them by because lets face it, they arent NEARLY as cool as the power rangers of our day, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers!

Oddly enough I had never really been in this area of the park. We stopped by the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground to take some pics, but we left quickly as there wasnt much there for us to do, and we had a schedual we had to keep up with!

We finially reached the Backlot Tour. I had no idea this ride/section of the park even existed. Craig and I REALLLY enjoyed this ride! We were so taken aback by the water rush int he explosion scene LoL. Ive never seen Craig jump so fast! It was hilarious. We got some pretty cool pics from the Tour. Loved the ball from PoTC

After the tour ended we checked out the Villans Exihibit. It was pretty cool to see some of the movie props and villian costumes! Especially the PotC stuff. (I have a thing for PotC if you havent noticed by this post. What can I say? Captain Jack has my heart.

After the Villans exhibit we tried to go and see the Mosters Inc characters, who i LOVED meeting last time because they were super cute! But unfortunatly for us we were just a minute too late! They were closing the line as we were going in! Boooo O well, Next time right?!

After that we headed to our next ride on our amazing Ridemax list, which happened to be a ride that always makes me smile, Muppet Vision 3D. Having grown up on the Muppets, Craig was super excited to see this show too.

It did not disappoint, sure its a bit outdated but I *heart* the muppets and this ride!! Craig agreed!

After the muppets, it was time for the dreaded walk.... to Tower of Terror. I had every intention of going on.... really I did. I mean I had been on a couple times before, and even though it was scary it was do-able. I went through the que with Craig and I tried not to show him how scared I was, but I was seriously panicking. I guess he could tell and he told me if I really didnt wanna go on I could leave and he wouldnt be mad. So I got to the doors.... and I chickened out!

I know... How Lame right?! It was totally lame of me, and I felt like such a lam-o waiting for the chicken exit while 5 year olds waited in line with Craig. I waited for Craig in the picture area, expecting him to fully come out and make fun of me and tell me how awesome it was. When he finially emerged the first thing he said was "I cant believe THAT is what you were so scared of. Lamest Ride EVER!" ... and I was like... umm PARDON!? He didnt like it at all!! He said it was cool but the drop was not scary at all. My boyfriend has issues I suppose. He was a bit annoyed at me for abandoning him, but he was alright with me... he just cant stay mad at lil old me for long hehe. I AM gunna try to actually ride it next time though. Seriously.

After the ToT disappointment all around we emerged into the RAIN! Ugh.... NO! Rain!!! We had been so lucky with no rain so far, so we thought this was the beginning of the end. The Rain had followed us. We had planned to watch Fantasmic this night, as it was our only dat at DHS. We were opamistic the rain would soon pass and we could go and line up for Fantasmic.

So what did we do to pass the rain you ask?? We shopped! and shopped! and waited.. and shopped! We bought some cute mickey head key chains for our family members, we got a cute magnet and I got this cute little vodoo jack sparrow doll. SO CUTE! I love it! It hangs in my car now.

Well the rain continued to rain really hard so we finially decided that we didnt wanna wait it out anymore because we were tired from all the walking around a long hot day in the sun. We donned our ponchos (well I did) and made a beeline for the bus stop. I was pretty disappointed that we were missing out on Fantasmic, as i LOVED it last time but by that point I was so tired and annoyed from the rain I was ok with going back to PoP.

We quickly arrived back to PoP and grabbed some dinner to bring back to the room to eat. I grabbed a chicken penne alfrado with some tomato sauce.

This ended up being my fave meal of the trip. It was SOOOO yummy.

I loved loved loved grabbing food from the PoP food court and bringing it back to the room. We pigged out, watched some tv, laughed about the day and just hung out together. Thats what I love most about Craig, hes my best friend and just hanging out with him in our hotel and being silly and watching TV brought me some of my fave trip memories. And its somethign we always do at home and i adore every minute. After doing this for a while it was time to sleep. So I dailed for our mickey wake up call and dozed off.
Anyways enough mushy mushy. uP next is Animal Kingdom!

The way you were so scared to go on it, Craig probably was anticipating a really scary ride...and the fact is...its not really at all...I have a hard time grasping what there is to be "scared" of on this ride. I always end up on it by myself because my DW and DD6 both avoid it...DW says it makes her nauseous...a much better excuse to me than "scary".

Plus maybe he got a "bad cycle" of drops. One time I was on it, it only dropped like 3 times, 2 of which were mini-drops. It was very disappointing compared to the heaftier cycles. This combined with being bummed that you chickened out on him could definitely make the ride seem kind of "meh". Next time you go...get him to try it again if you go through with it, he might really love it. We went with some freinds and the Dad and DD9 both thought it was their very favorite ride. (I favor Splash Mountain myself.)

hellO! totally understand what u mean, but its not really an "excuse" for me not to go on ToT. I would be lying if I said it made me nautious. it doesnt at all. I am scared of it, not the ghosts but the hieght and the dropping sensation are just not something i like. it made my anxiety act up, which actually annoys me and i wish it didnt happen because I felt super bad about not going on with him.

It definitly might have just been the drops, or maybe being bummed out, or maybe I hyped it up too much but I'm sure he'll try it again next time and hopefully I'll be able to too!

and btw i LOVE splash too. definitly my fave!

Thanks guys! She had her little girl (she knew it was gunna be a girl) Ava on monday night at 9:30ish pm. She weighed 7.5lbs and she is just the cutest little thing. Im so happy for her and her DBF. Im definitly an "aunty" haha.

In more news today I had a meeting for another teachers college, and it went SOOOO well!! i think im in for sure! This is the school I really wanna get in to because its located in toronto, the other school I applied to is in Buffalo and it would be a huge huge pain and VERY expensive, so Im really hoping I get to this school! I had an interview with the lady who makes the decision and she said grade wise I should have no problem and experiance wise sounds good.

I should know about Buffalo soon and I`ll know about this school in JUNE! Which is sooo far away but I have good feelings.

Hi, Vallie!! I commented on your dining report, and just caught myself up with this one!! So much fun-- DBF grew to LOVE Disney from our August trip, and some of our favorite moments were just sitting on the bus going to the Poly for our dinner at Ohana, or just walking on Main Street. Don't get me wrong-- we love, loved all the rides and shows and experiences, but it's those "little moments" (like you guys watching TV at Pop!) that really make your trip and make you remember just how much you love your boyfriend/husband/family! :lovestruc

Also, hate to disappoint you-- but I think you and Craig went to the Wolfgang Express on the West Side. (Near House of Blues) They don't have pasta there. BUT-- at the Wolfgang express near Earl of Sandwhich, tucked in a little corner, they definitely still have all of their famous pasta dishes!! When we went on our last afternoon, it was a very tough decision for me between the four cheese pesto pizza and the baked macaroni (I went with the pizza-- delicious!). They definitely had the spaghetti and meatballs, too, because I tried to convince DBF to get that instead of the adult chicken fingers (which were incredibly delicious!!)

Hi Guys!! Just popping in to post my halloween pictures of myself, DBF and his twin (yes he has an identicle twin! lol)

But i have three things I just had to share!

1. I got into Buffalo Teachers College! Which is good... but really its my backup school and I actaully really dont wanna go there lol but at least I have a back up for sure!

2. Me and Craig went to this used records/dvd/cd place and i foudn a brand new snow white diamond special edition (the one in the box with the book) for 22 bucks!!! yayyyy! i also picked up Peter Pan and Bambi for next to nothing. I was pretty proud of myself!

3. Today at work was so fun! I dont know if u guys know what I do for a living. Im a relief resource person for a before and after school company. so basicly I go around from program to program (we have over a hundred) and i cover for people who are sick or offer support for the program in different areas. So anyways the point of my story is i went to a program today and the program director is a DIS member! lol (Hi Sandra!! :yay:) it was too funny. As soon as i saw all her disney stuff everywhere I just knew!! So i got to spend the whole afternoon talking Disney (and taking care of the children of course!!) and she was even so kind to lend me a super old disney planning VHS that me and Craig are very excited to watch this weekend lol

So thats all my happenings. how exciting is my life right? My bday is on sunday... maybe that will bring some more excitement! who knows!

Great costumes. DW and I did Minnie and Mickey a few years ago at a party - we bought the "official" costumes but ordered them very late so got them really really cheap. (Not $5 though!) We went to a party with lots of little kids...and the really little ones were in total awe of us...they though we were really Mickey and Minnie. (Trust me, the costumes weren't THAT good!)

I am also impressed you got Craig to dress as Mickey...as a guy, I can say I honestly wouldn't have done that pre-children...not the most manly of costumes. We have been planning on Mary Poppins and Bert for our Halloween costume this year, but we couldn't make the "adult" party we usually attend, so just held it off until next year. Next year we will be going to MNSSHP, so that might be our costume for there as well! (Though DW wants to try and dress as characters from the dear-departed Adventurer's Club - which is an idea I love, but am not sure how easy it will be to pull off.)

Day 4 : Animal Kingdom Part 1


***I just want to appologize in advance for the pictures from this day! my hair hated me! and i was soo sweaty and gross! so im sorry for my grossness! lol enjoy!!! ***

It was animal kingdom day, and I was worried that it was going to rain, since it was supposed to rain alllll week and we hadnt seen a drop yet. But when we left in the morning it was nice and sunny! We picked up a Sunny D on the way to the bus, and we thought it was funny that the expirarion date seemed to imply that things in Disney dont expire for 1000 years! (and yes, I know its supposed to be sept 30, 09 but humor us!)

so we got to Animal Kingdom for another rope drop (go us!) and we used our helpful ridemax tip to use the Rainforest Cafe as our enterance (theres a turnstile at the back!) and got in before everybodyyyyy!

He loveeeeed it! He thought it was just amazing! It is a pretty impressive park for sure. So our first stop according to Ridemax was EE. We headed on over but we weren't in the mood for a rollarcoaster right in the morning. So we just picked up some fast passes instead and went to grab some breakfast. We decided on an extremely healthy and normal breakfast of... egg rolls! yum!! for one snack credit at Y&Y you two can eat egg rolls for breakfast! yummmm!!

So after our nutritious breakfast we decided to hit up Dinosaur, my favorite ride in the park!! So we headed over and there was only a 5 minute wait. Craig loved it and I, of course loved it too! I love dinosaur because its super scary but in a super fun way!!

After Dinosaur we hit up Primevil whirl, which disappointed both of us, and quite frankly made our tummys hurt a bit. Maybe it was the egg rolls!

Day 4: Animal Kingdom : Part Two

After 5 minutes they reappeared, but just Pluto! no Gooofy! which was a-ok with me because i just loooove Pluto, but Goofy.... not a huge fan.

We got some hugs and some pics and decided to grab a FP for dinosaur to ride again later and then we checked ridemax to see what was next.

According to ridemax, we were schedualed to watch Finding Nemo next. I have seen this show before and really enjoyed it but Craig... for some reason HATES finding nemo... really who hates finding nemo!! for some reason I just wasnt much in the mood to watch a musical (I was feeling weird this day) so we decided to bypass it and head to expidition everest instead.

We got the FP return line and soon enough we were on. We were seated at the back on the train. Now Ive been on EE before and while it was fun, it wasnt overly thrilling or anything like that. So we headed up the hill and got to the big break of the track.. and started to go backwards..... and OMG! WOW!!!! The difference of being at the back is INTENSE!!!! It was SOOOO much more fun!! I loved it and so did Craig!

After EE we wandered around the park and took it all in. We really liked taking park shots because its just so beautiful at this park and just enjoyed the wonder that the park has to offer.

I love EE. It's not insanely thrilling, but it may be the best themed rollercoaster ever. I mean, I personally prefer RnRC, but the detail and realistic-ness of EE is just so amazing. Its really above and beyond!!

PS I think your hair looks great. Better than mine did anyway!! I need to find a way to win that battle so I can actually live in Florida. If I moved there now, every single day would be a bad hair day! :laughing:

haha my bday was ok... it was really really low key this year. ive been having huge parties the last couple years but this year my bday actually was making me really upset cause i turned 25 :scared1: and thats the year ive been dreading turning for a long long time. i guess i was having a quarter life crisis!

craig took me for a nice dinner and then we went to watch where the wild things are. unfortunatly i didnt get any pics cause we forgot the camera! but it was a nice bday and i got to spend it with the one i love so that was good. did the family thing yesterday and then getting together with the BFF and her baby tomorrow for sushi and some kind of surprise!

Day 4: Animal Kingdom : Part Three

After we were done with the trail we went on over to have some lunch at Y&Y. It was sooo yummy in the morning I was really looking forward to it for lunch. I ordered honey chicken and Craig ordered the kung pao beef, both with rice.

To be honest, we both were not overly impressed. The beef was ok, the chicken was pretty good but the rice was pretty bleh. Don't think we would eat here again for a while.

After lunch we headed over to Kilimanjaro Safaris to grab our FP for later in the day and then we were off to the 12:00pm showing of the Lion King. Though I wasnt in the mood for a musical today, I was definitly in the mood to see the Lion King because it is just an incredible show. We got in and didnt get the greatest seats, but we both enjoyed the show! Craig was definitly not expecting what he saw, and I just sang and bopped along to the music! I LOVE IT!!! The preformers are so awesome. My fave was definitly the Can You Feel the Love Tonight number. Always sends shivers down the spine.

After we left the theater we happened to run into Brother Bear with no line!! I was so excited to see them because I had never seen them before! They were super cute!!

After meeting Brother Bear we headed over to Its Tough to be a Bug. I was so excited to see if Craig would like it because when me and my friend went last time she was so freaked out lol. Craig enjoyed the show and loved all the efffects. I think the best part of the show was these ladies beside us. They were just FREAKING out and it was sooo hilarious.

Craig obvioiusly made a new pal!

Our AK day was a short day because we had the Luau to go to tonight and we were quickly coming to the end of our day and we had three things left to do, the Safari, EE and Dinosaur. We decided to do the safari, then dinosaur and save EE for last!

So off to our safari trek we went. We handed in our FPs and got into line, this FP line was much slower then any of the others we encounted but we still got on pretty quickly. We were soon off on our way... Craig loved seeing the animals. I think the highlight of the ride was seeing some baby elephants (Real ones!) they were so adorible! <3

After safari was done we quickly went and rode EE and Dino with our FPs and then we made a beeline to the exit. Unfortunatly we got caught in the parade AND the rain!! eep!! I threw on my poncho, craig did not because he decided he was tooo cool for one, and wandered away from the parade route and managed to find our way to the exit!

We ran to the bus, which was just pulling in as we got there and soon enough we were back at POP. We still had quite a bit of time before our big Luau date, which is just what we wanted so we could drink our champainge and relax before we started to get ready. We grabbed some yummy snacks to hold us over till the Luau, since we didnt eat much lunch! If you are ever at POP make sure you try the worms and Dirt! yum yum!

So after we had our snacks and relaxed for a while we started to get ready for the Luau. And of course, drink the Champagne!!! Unfortunatly it was still raining out, which worried me all the while I was getting all decked out because as we all know, if it Rains the party is canceled! We got ready anyways, and hoped for the rain to subside.

Was actually thinking of going at the end of Feb or begining of March. It's probably the busiest time but it's the only time I can go and I really need to get away. It's either going to be Disney World or a cruise, we are still trying to decide. Maybe we could do both :)

I've been on both a cruise and to WDW and they are both great! Cruising is so much fun because its relaxing and you can do something different everyday, but WDW is WDW! hehe. I would personally love to do a WDW vacay followed by a stay on a Disney Cruise! You need a vacation after a Disney vacation! :rotfl:
