I'm trying to get my order together for Jiffy. Are the ones that say "heavyweight" really heavier (and hotter for WDW heat!)? Seems like a lot of them say heavyweight or ultra. How do you choose good cotton shirts?

Also, why do people recommend using 100% cotton?

Thanks!

I prefer 100% cotton, because it "breathes" better in the Fl humidity. The ones with polyester blends are fine for iron on, they will also hold their shape and color better generally too. Most tie dye kits suggest 100% cotton...not sure what you are using them for....I personally buy the regular "hefty: (I think 5.3 oz) from jiffy...the ones that the adult white tshirs are like $2. They are b no means really thick (hot)...but they are not as thin as hanes/ftl undershirts..I find them a little thinner than the FTL that I but at WalMart indivdually for around $4 each.
