View Full Version : Newbie question
I am a veteran of WDW orlando but have never been to DLP. I am going to Paris around New Years. Just wondering the best day to go to the park and how the weather is at that time of year. Any info would be helpful.
Thanks

Welcome :goodvibes
It will be cold at that time...December, January and February are the coldest months at DLRP in my experience. It wouldn't be unrealistic to expect snow and the lake around Big Thunder Mountain to be frozen.
Around New Years the parks will be very busy...how far into January are you going to be there? I would advise (if you can) going after the 1st January as other times will be very busy.
Here (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1993481) is a link to the trip reports...some of these cover the period that you are going for so you'd be best looking at some of those for a guide as to how busy it is during that period.

We were there during December in 2007 and it was so cold. It wasnt too packed though for crowds- it was earlier December though so New Years would be busier. But we were there during the week too, just missed the weekend.
I'd say wear lots of layers! lol. The decorations are lovely though.

I went for new years back in 2003 (i think) it was crazy crazy! the most people i had ever seen:scared1: was a great night waiting for the new year to come in all gathered around the castle was lovely:love: but very COLD:rotfl:.
Trying to get out was'nt so good, everyboby all going out at the same time, my ex partners dad thought it would be good to all grab hands and slowly try work our way through the crowds i wasnt to keen on that at all trying to get through the crowds you could tell from the word go that it was'nt going to be nice. we were all going the same way i dont know why he had to rush through:confused3 i ended up stopping with my ex partner and waited for the crowds to die down abit.
so yes i would def go after the first! it was really busy then:)
