This is probably a really dumb question but I am clueless with technology:confused3

I've recently changed my BT phone and broadband package and have been given a free mobile broadband dongle with inclusive monthly usage (they've given me £10 a month usage free:thumbsup2) but as I only really use my laptop at home or my parents - and connect via the wireless hubs anyway - I'm not really going to get much use out of the dongle.

So I'm suddenly thinking - my mobile phone works abroad, is it the same with mobile broadband :confused3

It's not a necessity that I do use it there just thought if I could make use of it then I'd be getting some of my free usage.

Just thought I'd see if anyone knew before I ring BT and make myself look a right idiot by asking:lmao:
Cheers Suze

They work the exact same way as mobile phones so you should be able to use your mobile broadband dongle abroad, it's likely to set you back a pretty penny though as the data you use will not count towards your normal monthly allowance and will be charged, per MB, at a much higher rate, the same as you are with calls and texts abroad.
