I'm gutted....wasted near £500 on vouchers (for 2 holidays) for ONE meal per day per person...now they are doing free meals TWO a day per person for free.

just a rant.....some you will be in the same boat! x

Looked further into it and because I got 40% off for October and 1 night free for January then I think you can't combine it anyway.....so thats good!!lol Also mistake me if I'm wrong but the list of places they give in my head are the burger and chips places (obviously more choice but not as good as the usual half board places???????????

trying to make myself feel better, got a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach!!!

these are the places....
Colonel Hathi's Pizza Outpost - Restaurant Hakuna Matata - Café Hyperion - Au Chalet de la Marionnette - Pizzeria Bella Notte - Toad Hall Restaurant - Fuente del Oro Restaurant - Restaurant en Coulisse - Disney Blockbuster Café - Casey's Corner.

It appears that for one voucher its a Counter Service meal and then the other voucher is the same as the normal HB plan.

I think its a very good offer for those who would normally eat twice in the parks. If you don't normally then there is no real saving to be had and you'd have been better off under one of the old offers anyway.

I'm not too fussed about it for my October booking. It would have been nice but would have cost me more money in the long run anyway.

yeah I'm trying to think that way too....if I had to pay full price for my october booking I would have to pay an extra £350 onwards.....so works out fine!!...good deal though.....wee meal for lunch then one of the nicer places for dinner....:)

bet the place is going to be mega packed now!!!:scared1:

i have lost out on my booking for november but looking at the current prices the 40% offer was a better deal.

i have booked with this offer for march it seems like a good deal as long as they dont bring out another 40% offer lol. we do eat twice a day and most of our money is spent on food.

You might find that for your dates, you can't get the free meals offer anyway Katrina (Steve tiring-day called to check this for his dates yesterday, and was told he couldn't have had them anyway :confused3).

You're right, the free meals can only be combined with the childrens stay free offer, nothing else.

I did a quick work-out for my ahem possible trip in March next year, even if the 40% comes out later instead of free meals again, I'll just about break even, if I choose the free meals deal instead (and this is counting my AP/shareholders discount on meals). The free meals is perfect for us, as we do usually have a counter-service lunch, and a table-service dinner.

If you can combine the free meals with whatever package you've booked for January, might it be worth your while cancelling your existing Jan booking, and making a new one, with the free meals included?

I don't think its much of a deal at all, I got 3 nights at the New York Hotel for 2 adults and our toddler for £450. The same package for the same dates is coming out at £696. No way are those meals worth £246!!!

I'd rather have the £246 in my pocket and eat at Cafe Mickey, Planet Hollywood, Annette's etc.

I think, if you got the 40% off, and you're booked for more than 2 nights, thats definitely the better deal :goodvibes.

in January I have free kids...which is ok with the free meals but I also have a free night and I don't think you can book without the free night can you????? So does that mean NO ONE can book the free meals when I go in January??

this is going by the fact you can't book the free meals with the free night.

Edited to apologise, just realised there is another thread on this, sorry x

Its a shame that this deal includes the tickets, having an annual pass it doesn't work unfortunatley :(

I have an annual pass Lisa, and the last time I actually used it to any advantage to book an onsite hotel room was last October - since then I've found its been much better value to book a package.

I did some juggling of figures last night and worked out that because we booked with 30% off with HB plus vouchers we are still saving £92.00 on the free meals quote. I worked out that for approx £96.00 we could have a McD's meal each every day for our lunch.

Although if I did that I'd then be £5 a week for Scottish Slimmers:lmao:

Think this deal is swings and roundabouts what with all the offers lately. Its a way to get guests into their restaurants. When booking with discounts of 30-40% guests would not always opt for HB vouchers. This way by the price going up (no discount) you're effectively just paying for your HB anyway.

It also depends on when you've booked for - as until 8th November 09, you could have got the up to 40% off. But for trips after that date, theres been no such discount offered (up to now).

We are going 13th December for 3 nights, the Cheyenne is currently £214 for the 3 nights, we wouldn't spend another £200 on food so its not really worth it for us.
