That is one long ride!

I am tempted to travel far away and wonder if I could sit that long in the plane - I would be in the cheap seats. Could I just zone out and wake when I get there?

We have to do a 1.5 hour and then an 9 hour flight to get to Orlando and that is more than long enough :confused3

He is half way there now though :thumbsup2

I wonder how bad he is needing a smoke?!? Walter has a job on his hands with that I'm sure.

I'm NOT a good fly-er. I hate to fly, but I know that flying will get me to my destination much quicker than driving in a car...my longest flight, so far, was when I went to Hawaii. I flew from Ft Wayne, Indiana to San Francisco, to Oahu. It took for-freaking-ever! I can't imagine what Pete is going through on this flight...

We will be flying to China within the next year or two and I am PETRIFIED. I am not looking forward to that flight...

Hope Pete's hanging in there!

Does anyone else think it's weird that we're tracking the flight of two men who many of us have never met? :scared1:

Here is a link that will load a kml file so you can see the flight in google earth. Select "Quantis" and flight "16" - open the kml file and google earth will start up showing the flight path.

At least I have meet them. :rotfl: It still is strange. They have just a little more 3 hours left.

I checked in and saw they had about 2 1/2 hours left, which is smidge longer than it takes me to fly to MCO from O'Hare.

I like that we're having our vicarious thrill through them. :dance3:

Ditto with the additional of an hours drive to get to the airport.

Hope Pete has lots of nicotine chewing gum :)

Probably overheard on their flight:

Ladies and Gentlemen, as we prepare for landing at Brisbane airport, please put away all laptops, Kindles, iPhones, video cameras, digital cameras and any other podcast equipment you may have brought on board.

I think GMT is Greenwich Mean Time. It currently is Wednesday 5:58 am in Brisbane.

I totally agree that this is weird that we are so facinated by this, but I love every minute of it. Hope the ride went smooth and uneventful.
