So once again I am creating a special themed CD to play in the hallways at work. I need tips on other school or Back to School themed songs to include.

Here's what I have so far...

If you can take it, there is the "graduation song" by vitamin c. It might be a bit old for your age group. At least it has clean lyrics (http://www.lyrics007.com/Vitamin%20C%20Lyrics/Graduation%20Song%20Lyrics.html):

If you expand your criteria you could add:

"I feel the earth move" by Carole King - at least that would have a geology tie-in.

"Somewhere over the Rainbow" would have a physical science tie-in.

And, of course, when you wish upon at star, for the astronomy tie-in.

The wikipedia list above has some good ones. Closer to Fine by the Indigo Girls is definitely an up, happy song.

Have no songs ,but wanted to add. I am a Daycare mom and I am SOOOOOOO excited that school is starting. The kids are bored, tired of movies, parks and swimming. (to Cold most of the time anyway.) We went for a picnic yesterday. All 15 of us. From 12 weeks to 9 years old. (3 adults) One kid got a bloody nose, no reason, just started to bleed. One had a blister from her sandles, told her to go barefoot, stubbed her toe, so it was bleeding. One just screamed, because he wanted his mom. (This was my grandson, Mom is a teacher, so thought since we were at the school park, she should just appear) The teachers were just coming out of a meeting and were just laughing. I said, it's okay because I have only a day and a half left, then they all come back to you guys!!! Yeah SCHOOL! So, I guess my song would be Celebrate!:banana::yay::cool1::yay:
