We are still deciding which package to use-we were going to go with the Escape (due to mom issues hahaha yay for no reception) but may instead go ahead with the Wishes package due to it coming out cheaper?! Anyone else debating/debated between the two? I am trying to keep it between 10-15k the key word is TRYING;) Thanks in advance!

My hubby and I were on the same boat but ultimately decided to go with an Escape. We will have 25 guests with a ceremony (includes altar and aisle decor), small reception at the Attic (including centerpieces, character, upgraded cake, food, bar, favors, etc.) and a dessert party at the UK (includes motorcoach)...$13K with tax and service charge. If we would go with a wishes wedding we would not be able to have a dessert party or some of the decor we could get with having an escape.

Of course this is our estimate with the help of past and future brides budget. At the end it really all depends what you want and how many guests you want. Remember, you have can pay $500 (does not include tax) to add 5 extra guests to an escape wedding and you can upgrade everything that comes in the escape package.

Hope this helps!

Puente...Why can't you have a Dessert Party or the decor if you had a Wishes wedding? Also, I thought there were limitations on what you can upgrade for the escape package. Were you told you could upgrade everything? Thanks!

You can definitely have a Dessert party with a Wishes wedding, many of the Wishes brides do. I'm not sure what type of decor would be included in an Escape, I thought just personal floral, but Disney florist can work with you to create whatever types of floral arrangements you want. The main thing is with an Escape wedding you can't have a typical reception. You can plan an after ceremony meal but that is limited to two hours, so doesn't really provide much time for dancing. If that's not important to you anyway, it may not matter.

My guess is she might mean, for that price she could not have all the things she wants.

Does a DP count towards the minimum expenditure for a wishes wedding?

Any event you hold on your actual wedding day goes toward the minimum for a wishes wedding.

So a Dessert Party on your wedding day would count where as a rehearsal dinner the day before & the farewell brunch the day after that we had did NOT count toward the minimum b/c neither took place on the actual wedding day.

HTH! :thumbsup2

What I meant was...that if I choose a wishes I wouldn't be able to afford a dessert party and the decor I would want would put me over my budget. You can upgrade your floral, cake and photography (the package isn't a lot to begin with)in a escape wedding. Plus if your budget allows you can change the musician. The only thing I don't know if you can exchange the limo for a vintage car and pay the difference.

I don't think I'm doing a DP because I'm sure I'll meet the minimum with just the ceremony and reception but it's nice to know it's an option. Thanks
