Hi: We have not drivin to wdw for a couple of years. Can anyone who has gone down in a van or medium sized car what they figured they paid for gas for the trip down and back?

Its been a few years since I have actually driven down. However the following webiste will give you a pretty good estimate on what gas will cost going down and back. However it only calculates from within the US. YOu still have to remember to add what it would cost to get you to the boarder.

We just got back on Sunday. We have a Dodge Grand Caravan. Not including the full tank at the start of the trip we spent $189 US on gas. We drove the I79/77 route.

Gas is quite a bit cheaper in the US. Somewhere between .83 and .73 per litre when you do all of the conversions.

On our last trip to Florida, last Feb, we spent $190 us on gas with a montana van. Mind you it was loaded to the hilt with luggage for 5 adults. Plus a full tank of gas when we left home. We are about 2 1/2 hours to the border.

Total cost will be somewhere between $500 and $600 once you total in food, fuel there & back, tolls and a couple of nights accommodation.

I just did my calculations and yes for us gas there and back plus accomadations and food, for round trip we are budgeting $500.00 U.S. Likely will come in under that, but not by much.
Where is the first toll by the way, and how much is that? How many tolls in total?

It depends on your route. For I79/77 route it's around $11 plus the $3.50 to get back over the Peace Bridge. The first toll is $3 on I90. I'm not sure what the tolls are leaving from Ottawa.
