Well we moved our trip up by a few days and cut it short by one so that I could be home in time for my mom to come home from the hospital. She has emergency bypass surgery 5 days before we were to leave. She is doing great now though. Anyway, MK, Epcot and downtown disney were magical. This was my DD and DH's first time there and it was amazing. My DD didnt want to leave, of course DH did because the humidity was unbearable compared to Wisconsin. DD LOVED Magic Kingdom and DH favorite part was Downtown Disney. Who would have thought he would love shopping! :D I loved it all, especially the "Honey I shrunk the audience" That was my first time seeing it. Awesome!
The weather was like clock work. Morning was cloudy with the sun peeking out, the the winds picked up around 1. Between 2-3 every afternoon it would rain for about 3 hours and then clear up in time to go to DD.
I do have to say I was not happy with the service at the Royal Plaza Hotel. The Hotel its self is nice and clean, but the service was terrible.
The night before we left I called to confirm that a fridge would be in the room and it wasnt there when we checked in. After waiting an hour and never getting it we just cancelled.
Then after charging us $61 for 5 phones calls that totalled 17 minutes to Wisconsin, they couldnt break down the charges (rate, operatre charge etc) just said that is there policy. Everythime we had a question the bounced us from one desk to another and then tried bouncing us back, not to mention the people were not very friendly.
My husband works for an airline and we take MANY trips, which we are planning on going back to DW in Feb, but have never stayed at a hotel where they are so rude. We will NOT stay there again.
Besides the hotel and me getting the flu the last night, Disney was wonderful. We look forward to going again.

Hope your feeling better and make sure to write a letter with your complaints.

By the way, we always use a calling card when calling from a hotel because most charge a 50% service charge in addition to the long distance charges. It can add up real quick!:(

Hi Totallylovedisney!
Thanks for the trip report! Hope you're feeling a lot better now and that your mum's doing well too. I think another trip to Disney is just what you both need right now - a little magic is SO good when you're recuperating!
