Congratulations on the honeymoon. My wife and I just had our honeymoon this past April and ate at Ohana. Wishing you luck on a window seat. We had one and it was great to see the fireworks. Wishes will be at 9:30pm that evening since the Christmas party is that evening. Hopefully the polynesian singer Kaleo will be there he is great! Our dining party consists of me and my wife and my two parents.

Are your split stays concurrent? I was able to make ressies for two days after my check out date online even though my linked reservation ended. I guess since it was within my 90+10 window it worked. You might want to make plans just in case. I got great times for the later days in my ressies.

I was thinking the price increase and the signature TS credits wouldn't make a difference for this package, but it looks like there's less people willing to do it, now based on everyone's input so far.

We had problems booking the CP. All the spots we wanted were taken except the one we got. Oh, and one at 8:45 but we didn't think we could do Illuminations if we did CP at tht time. Not long enough to get out.

We've never been before and probably won't go again for that reason. 2 TS is a lot to spend for a meal and a show, IMHO. We also bookede CRT but we have never done that either. I will take my GDs hopefully next trip and I wanted to know what to expect or I wouldn't spend 2 TS on that either!

After a 40 minute wait on the phone this morning at 7, I got every ADR we wanted but one-CP for Le Cellier on Tu Dec 1 for the 6:45 show-so if anyone has one and intends on cancelling, PM me-we'd take it! Probably no such luck with that happening, but I'll just be persistent and keep trying. This is the one and only time we'll probably be in WDW for Christmas, so using 2 TS credits is worth it for me to guarantee us a spot at the CP.

I thought Prime Time 50's Cafe might be a bit too early, but we are going to go back over to MK to catch the parade and fireworks, since we will only be watching them from the window for the GF dinner.

When I met the two friends I am taking last night to give them the info; the first one was over the moon about Prime Time 50's Cafe (she remembers going with her parents when she was about 10; she is 26 now) and Raglan Road (she is Irish and knows how to clog dance). My other friend, also 26, was just about in tears when I told her about Kouzzina. She loves greek food!

These are both college students, so we got the dining plan and they cannot believe how well I planned everything out, so we could get the best bang for our buck. On the two nights, when we have used up our TS credits on the dining plan, we are going to treat each other - since I am paying for much of their trip. They are a bartender and a server at my local watering hole who have taken very good care of me all these years!

I should mention my first friend has only been to WDW twice and never stayed on site. She has only been to a few parks. My second friend has never been to WDW or stayed on-site.....

I should say I am new to the dining program and making ressies, because I normally go by myself and sit at the bar for my meals and never have had a problem.

However, with the dining plan being extended to mid-December, it seemed a must.

I was amazed how easy it was; I even accidently booked one dinner at the Brown Derby before I realized it was two credits. We were adamant about getting two character dinners and paying two nights OOP. It was so easy to go in and cancel it and then make a new reservation. I also liked how they would give you alternatives, if they didn't have what you were looking for.

My fav was I was trying to book the Crystal Place for dinner on Monday night; it was already booked, most likely because it is the EMH evening hours. It suggested the GF 1900 Park Fare instead, which I would have never even thought of!

Well, I have to say that getting up at 2:30 was worth it! I went to the site, logged in, and set up tabs for each restaurant (like some angel on this board suggested) - it worked great. I got everything I wanted, most either at exact times or within 5 or 10 minutes of when I wanted them - including Le Cellier! (Oh, and I'm on the DxDP):

Steal away!! You are testing out the breakfast and dinner CRT cookies, good for you. If you wanted to have CRT every day of your trip that is up to you. And WCC, well you have to try that breakfast (one of the best IMHO) and their dinner is pretty darn good too (I'd almost sell one of my kids for their meatloaf).

I opened up tabs as well...and it worked great. I would explain it if I wasnt so computer illiterate. Maybe someone else care to explain???
With a party of 10 or more Im sure you have to call, I had a party of 17 so I broke mine into a group of 9 and 8 to do my online reservations.

Then I went back to the first page, and found the next restaurant I wanted and opened it in a new tab. . .pretty soon I had several tabs open, each for a different restaurant.

When it was 6:00, I refreshed each tab, and magically the dates opened up and I was able to make each reservation.

Because I'd heard about glitches, I only did 4 at a time and then checked out - then I did the next 4, then the next. I'm just paranoid and wanted to make sure I didn't lose any! :rolleyes1

With a party of 10 or more Im sure you have to call, I had a party of 17 so I broke mine into a group of 9 and 8 to do my online reservations.

I lucked out a little, was able to use my 12/5 reservation to book all my dates even though it's a one night stay (the rest of the split starts on 12/6). Of course, I didn't get on line until 6:30 CDT and then I called and was on hold for 1/2 hour. Great CM though.
For 12 people, I had to get creative. I booked us as split up on line and as a large group on the phone. Here's what we ended up with:

I'm soooo happy. It is soooo simple. I tell you, I was nervous, afraid something would go wrong, not be able to book my restaurants.... All went well.. I was up at 2 am (3 am eastern time) and logged on just to practice with my dining reservations and to my surprise WAMMM!!, my 90+10 day window opened! I was going to set up multiple tabs to work on the restaurant booking, but simply worked with a single tab. I was nervous, my room was cold due to the AC being on, but I was sweating,sweating bad. Le Cellier.... got it! Next option.. got it! Got everything I wanted! :thumbsup2

Seems like the site is still having growing pains; kept refusing to load at first, but finally was able to book my dinner at Jiko on 12/9 at 8:45pm! (I was also a little ticked off at DVC; the Member Services phone line is supposedly open 7 days a week, but that apparently does not include holidays. Oh well, booked online anyway, and will ask them my other questions tomorrow!)

We are actually arriving earlier with a split stay/room only discount but not going to Disney parks until the 12th with the free dining pin code, sorry for the confusion :) We have plans to see Universal Studios and visit family in the area prior to WDW.

I was up to make my ADRs on Sunday. I was pretty much able to get everything I wanted, and the only thing I wasn't able to get took me by a bit of surprise. I have a split stay booked, and was happy that the system let me book ADRs for my entire stay. Yeah!!! Very happy I don't have to worry about the second half of my trip now. All my ADRs are for a party of 2 - me and my BFF. I'm so excited to be trying my first character meals! :banana:

12/7 - 8am - Akerhaus Princess Breakfast

12/7 - 4:15pm - Sci-Fi - I wanted the Brown Derby, but nothing was available at any time for dinner this day. I wasn't expecting that, especially as it's not a Fantasmic day. I've seen lots of other people saying they had problems getting dinner ADRs at the Hollywood Studios on the 7th. Makes me wonder if it's some kind of a system glitch. I'd prefer a later time, as 4:15 is a bit early for me, but for now I'm keeping this.

12/9 - 6:45pm - Hollywood Brown Derby - Wanted Le Cellier, but the only time they had available was 8:20. I want to catch Illuminations so passed on the 8:20.

I know! There was nothing for dinner practically anyplace at the Studios that night. After about 4:30 I think the only place that had availability was Hollywood & Vine. I thought I'd see a bunch of people posting HS ADRS for that night, but really there aren't. I don't get it. :confused3

Still I'm happy with what I got. 4:15 is a bit early, but I've always wanted to check out the Sci-Fi. It's not as bad as the 3:20 ADR I got stuck with last year at Hollywood & Vine in order to get the Fantasmic package.

Two more additions to my ADRs. I just heard back from the Boardwalk IPO office, and they got me the following ADRs:

For those of you who didn't get what they wanted at first keep trying. On my 90 day mark I couldn't get Chef Mickey's for dinner any night of our stay. Today I got it on 12/3 at 5:15 pm so keep trying. Our updated ADRs are:

Was up and ready at 4AM MDT on Sunday the 6th. Followed the tip I had seen somewhere on Dis about using multiple tabs and also doing 4 or 5 ADRs then checking out and then doing 4 or 5 more. I also planned the traditionally hardest ADRs to get towards the end of the trip. Although I have seen many reports of problems with the website that and other mornings I didn't have any, but I have also seen reports of poeple being able to start booking ealier than the 6AM EDT supposed start time but I wasn't able to, and I checked LOL.

We got everything we wanted, on the day we wanted and within a half hour of the time we wanted.:cool1:

We have more ADRs than we do TS credits, but just couldn't narrow the list down anymore LOL so we will pay OOP for some of the cheaper ones.

Well I just tweaked my ADRs for our 12/1-12/8 trip. On 12/4 we were going to eat at Teppan Edo at 3:10pm, I cancelled that and got an ADR for Coral Reef at 3:45pm :cool1:. We are going back to one of our favorite restaurants :yay:

I booked all of ours (on-line and by phone) and Sept. 2nd when our window opened. I was able to get everything (except the CP package) I wanted within an hour of my request. And most within 10 minutes. My first 6 choices for CP were impossible. I wanted Dec. 3, 4 or 5 at Le Cellier for either the 6:45 pm or or 8:15 pm show. Seeing how many Disers have posted they have Le Cellier on Dec. 5, I can understand why that has been impossible. So I settled for paying $127.78 for Coral Reef on Dec 5th. The last time we were at WDW at Christmas time was in 1985 and I really don't remember anything about special shows then. I really wanted to do the CP package despite the cost. Hopefully Steven Curtis Chapman will stay healthy and be the narrator for our show as scheduled.

Here is what we have booked for just the 2 of us:

Chef Mickey's is 1 Table Service credit. So is 1900 Park Fare. The Hoop Dee Doo Revue is 2. All Dinner Shows are 2 TS cerdits. Most restaurants are 1 TS credit. There are a few exceptions though. You can read about this on the many threads here on Disboards.:)

We only made a few this trip, but had no trouble getting exactly what we wanted for our party of 5 (4 adults, 1 infant). I did most of them online at around 6:45 a.m., then called at 7 for the CP Dining Package. The automated system somehow kicked me to the wrong people, but they sent me to dining without any wait (thank God, because the Miley Cyrus hold music I did get to hear while they transferred me was a bit much for 7 a.m. :lmao:). I also got exactly what I wanted for the CP, which I was a little anxious about.

I am very pleased that I got almost everything I wanted, near the times I wanted..... except for Ohana.

I just tried to go in and check for you using our ressie code (arrive the 6th) but I keep getting a stupid error message and it won't retrieve my resort ressie... :headache: Good luck tomorrow!

After A LOT of stressing out about making my ADRs, I was relieved to find out the online system opened at 3:00am now. I was up and ready and had SO MANY problems----404 errors, not recognizing my reservation number. :headache:

Finally at 3:30 I was able to get on and I got everything I wanted within about 15 minutes!! So relieved and so happy to get to bed right after this post----maybe. ;)

After some trouble with online ADR system today had to call WDW for ADR's and got nearly all the restaurants on the days we wanted with some compromise on meal times:

12/12 - no adr's on arrival day - our choice
12/13 - Chef Mickey's 10:20 am , Kouzzina 8:10 pm
12/14 - Candlelight Processional dinner package, Chefs de France 6:45 show
12/15 - 1900 Park Fare Character Breakfast 10:30 pm
12/16 - Ohana 6:30 pm
12/17 - Donald's Safari Breakfast 8:00 am, Yak & Yeti 4:45 pm
12/18 - Hoop-Dee-Doo-Revue 7:15 pm category 2 seating on DDP credits

We expect to keep all of these and are grateful for what we got!

We are going 12/12 - 12/19 but only wanted a few ADRs as we are staying at Music and have counter service. I got up at 2:45am (AZ) to be online when the reservation window supposedly opened. Had error after error until 3:30 when I finally said "forget this" and decided to go back to bed. I made one last ditch effort to get in and my information was accepted and we got the three reservations we wanted for the week!

Was hoping for earlier at Le Cellier but will take what I've got since we will be getting DD (2) a sitter that night and DH and I can handle a later dinner.

Sunday Dec 13th: Crystal Palace for breakfast (French toast RULES!), Candle Light Processional (8:15pm) and the BIER Garden :drinking1 (5:00pm) This has a 2 day cancellation policy in effect otherwise full billing!

Monday Dec. 14th: LeCellier 2:15 Lunch, Dinner WAS SOLD OUT!!!! :confused3

Tuesday Dec. 15th: Dieting = drinking "slim slows" :crazy2: and perhaps counter service meals!

Wednesday Dec. 16th: Crystal Palace for Breakfast with a giant zip lock bag to store massive quantities of the French Toast to last until next visit! :rolleyes1

Thank you for sharing, except for the French Toast, we can bring ourselves to share it....

You could walk from MK to the Contemporary in about 15 minutes. But if you're in a crowd leaving after Wishes, it could be slower going. (I don't know how long Wishes lasts either.)
