The system did charge me for CRT but I stuck with it and when I called at 6 a.m. to make a BBB reservation, the CM got me a new reservation and just canceled the old one. And the online system took three times before it could run my card to confirm CRT. It would keep giving me the others in my basket and not that one. I was still done at 2:20!

I see that you are doing ICE. Is that the one at the Gaylord Palms? Have you seen it before? We liked it alot. It was great. Just incase you haven't been there before, here are a few tips.

Try and pack hat and mittens.
Try and order your tickets in advance and you will save some money.
Be prepared to pay big bucks for parking. I can't remember if it was $10.00 or $15.00. All I know is it was EXPENSIVE.
Keep your camera in a case when your not using it as the coldness in there will fog your lens and that you will be waiting around for your camera to warm up before you could even get that shot you wanted.

We too are traveling in December. We are staying this time at AKL from the 5th - 12th.

I was up at 5am on our 90th day and I was able to get most of the ADR's that I wanted even though the system was a tad bit slow for my taste.

:cloud9:First, a big THANK YOU to "momtobrynncess" for her 9/2 post on getting Adr's online. It was beyond helpful, especially the section on retrieveing your room confirmation number. (Post #2698 on the official online ADRs thread).

I was up at 3:45 (I live in Denver) with my list and was ready to go when the site opened last Saturday.

For those who have asked about split stays - I called a day early and was told they could not link our confirmation numbers so would need to call in at 90 days for both dates. Online the system linked our stays using only the first confirmation number so I could book all my adr's from the first date. I got everything on my "A" list, and more:

If you are going to the dessert party you need to have admission in to MK on that day. If you are going during MVMCP you need to have a ticket to that.

The cost for 2 adults, all taxes (no gratuity) included came to $46.84

We love Holiday Wishes and for me, it's not a show that I feel just has to be viewed from Main Street with a straight on castle view. Wishes, well, I am a bit of a purist on that one. I feel that Wishes has to be viewed with a straight on castle view for best enjoyment. We are going to see Wishes during our stay too on a non-MVMCP night. I will be in our "Wishes Spot" that night. I got on about 5:30 EST. I had set my alarm for 3:30 EST but I fell back asleep and when I woke up I was a little panicked especially when I kept getting the system is busy message when I tried to book for the 25th - a few anxious moments but I didn't give up. I should be able to relax now but I am too excited :banana:

OMG was that not sooo stressful. Got up at 3am to get our ADRS for just my family of 5, had some problems there. Then got up at 7am to make the reservations for when we have friends joining us making us a party of 10 and the kids surprise. First CM I spoke to found NOTHING on 12/25 for a party of 10 finally after 30 minutes gave us and was transfered to recreation to make the reservation for hte kids and not only did she get the reservation for the kids but she got me my dining ressies as well!!

I think you can make reservations for your entire stay. You don't have to wait for each day to come to make each reservation.:surfweb:

Hello All,
In case you were wondering, the on-line system was up and functional at 3am this past evening but not for all the restaurants. This was me at 3am :surfweb:. I was able to do Ohana, CP and LLT on-line and back-up reservations for CG and Teppan Edo which I later cancelled. But for some reason the system would not let me do AP or Sanaa. I called at the 7am sharp on the dining line. The lady that helped me was awesome.
I was really scared that I wouldn't get what I wanted for Christmas as there are 6 of us but it all worked out fine.
Here is the run-down:

12/22 CP 5:00pm
12/23 Sanaa 5:00pm
12/24 Teppan Edo (5:00 pm CP package) 1:50pm
12/25 AP 5:35pm
12/26 Ohana 10:00am

The only thing I had trouble getting was the time I wanted for the Teppan Edo CP package. The more upscale restaurants were sold out for the CP package for the 6:30 and 8:15 showings of CP. But its Xmas eve so what do you expect. I'm totally psyched!:cool1:
I have to say I didn't get the feeling that all slots were taken for Xmas eve and Xmas (and those are the peak days of the year). It would seem that all the difficulties in getting ADRs that people have been posting on the threads was really caused by the free dining package. It's a mixed blessing.

Booked right away today starting at 3:00 Eastern, and it worked great for 15 minutes then bogged down on my last ADR. But I flew through the first 15 minutes and got almost everything I needed. Thank you DIS, otherwise I wouldn't have tried until 6:00.

I was up at 2 AM CST this (9/26) morning (checking Christmas day!), but gave up on the online ADR system because it wouldn't show me my "plus 10". Others at the same time were getting theirs to show up, but whatever... so I went back to bed just after 4 AM CST. I then set the alarm and got up again at 5:45 AM CST thinking I'd call in, but on a whim I tried the online system once more and got it all done just before 6 AM CST... Sometime before 5:45 AM CST and sometime after 4:00 AM CST the online ADR decided to work ... :headache:

This was my first time booking our big trip within the ADR window so I was really nervious about what I'd get, but I'm pretty pleased so far. Had to settle for Crystal Palace rather than CRT to get a pre-opening breakfast at MK, but getting an early Akershus made up for that rather nicely, and I was thrilled to get a nice, late breakfast at Chef Mickey for our last meal in Disney. :)

Well today is my 90 mark for reservations. I've had this day written in my planner for over a month, I thought about it last night before I went to bed, and then this morning.......I FORGOT!!!::eek:

I checked my email around 10 this morning (That's 11 at WDW) and was reading my allearsnet newsletter. There's a section called, "What I wish I had known before my WDW trip". One writer had posted, "I wish I had known to make dining reservations for my Christmas trip." WAIT A MINUTE!!! I fly into a panic, trying to log in on the WDW website, but when I put in my reservation number, it keeps saying error and won't let me book.:scared1:
I quickly called WDW Dining ( I keep the number in my cell phone address book!) . YES....I got the reservations I needed!

Well I managed to get a reservation for Chef Mickey's on Dec. 18, so I switched Ohana's to Thursday morning :banana: at 8:50...we're not doing MK that day, but it is EMH that morning there, so I know the buses will definately be going early enough :thumbsup2 We also switched resorts to CSR :rotfl: But I think we're done now...resort, dining, flights all booked :banana: And yes, we now have 5 ADR's, so unless we drop one, we'll have to pay OOP for one, which would probably be Ohana's as it would be the least expensive.

I am hoping the same thing!!! I wasn't about to use two TS for it. I'm hoping that we will be able to catch it. I think some people will still do it and pay out of pocket. But that is so expensive!! If I decide not to stand in line for two hours, I might just listen to some of it from the general vicinity of the theater. I'm sure it's wonderful, but it's a lot like my Christmas eve church service (without the celebrity narrator). We're also a little pressed for time and we want to catch all the other holiday happenings, so maybe if we don't see it, we'll see more other things. :confused3

We wouldn't think of missing it. It is very inspiring. We have the CD of it and we listen every Christmas morning, even after attending church the night before. We wanted to save out TS credits so we booked it separately. We didn't want to wait in line or take a chance on not getting seating. In addition, the guaranteed seating for illuminations is nice.

Oh. Pixie dust to TENJM up there. I'ts the free dining. I think people are double booking contingency reservations. It's rough during FD. Just keep trying. Even when you get there if you haven't gotten it prior to arrival you can still check. Watch the December cancellation thread closely because something may open up. I'm going during a much busier time frame and I am not at all worried about crowds because it's about having a good touring plan and strategy. If dec 5 is parade taping day then I'd advise you to avoid MK that day). Is Tokyo Dining an option? Maybe try there. Be a little more flexible with your dining times and choices so that you won't miss SM or be subjected to a mob. Perhaps one of the other restaurants in WS still has availability.:wizard::wizard::wizard:

You can just take the boat or walk to the Swan. It's about a 10-15 minute walk. And I believe the first stop on the boat ride from DHS is the Swan/Dolphin since we stayed at the Boardwalk in April and would usually get off at that stop and walk over to our room. It takes about 10 minutes.

Well I thought I had all of my ADRs set for our trip that is going to be taking place in 2 days. Well, I happened to be on the online dining to see if I could get any sort of character meal for our last day (was looking for a resort character meal not a park character meal). Well, low and behold an ADR for 8:30am on the day we leave for CRT was opened. Now mind you we already had a CRT dinner ADR for earlier in the week. So I called DH and told him, and he said to go and book it and then cancel the dinner :cool1: What an awesome way to say good bye to Disney...oh yeah, now we are planning on staying at MK for a couple of hours before we have to catch the ME (our flight is at 7:25pm).
