Turner Family Pre Trip Report - POR 17th Sep to 1st Oct

I thought I would start a pre trip report as we have seemed to do so much planning and booking.

Me, DH, DS10 and DS4 will be staying at POR from 17th Sep to 1st Oct. We have ultimate park tickets and free dining.

It will be DD first trip to disney and the 3rd time for the rest of us.

We have booked the following:

18th Sep: Dinner at 1900 park fayre. I have got a Anistasia dress from etsy for my DD to wear. TO DO - order a cake for the kids would like a pirate and princess theme to please both of them, with 'welcome to disney' written on.

19th Sep: Breakfast at Hollywood and Vine
lunch at Si Fi Diner

20th Sep: Dinner at Rainforest Cafe @ Animal Kingdom

21st Sep: Dinner at Garden Grill

22nd Sep: MNSSHP: We are all dressing up as dalmations, white shorts, white tshirts with black spots, white caps with ears sewn on, ribbon collars and faces painted.

23rd Sep: Lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern
Wishes desert Party

24th Sep: Lunch Tusker House
Dinner Raglan Road

25th Sep: Dinner at TRex

27th Sep: Lunch at Whispering Canyon

28th Sep: Lunch at 9 Dragons

29th Sep: Dinner at 50's Prime Time

30th Sep: Breakfast at Crystal Palace, booked an early slot so we can walk down main street when it's quiet....looking forward to taking a photo of the castle with no one in frount of it
Lunch at Tonys Town Square

1st Oct: Lunch at Kona Cafe


I have made a couple of dresses for my DD's trip.
A chip and dale one for Garden Grill.
Winnie the pooh dress for Crystal Palace

I want to make a little einstines one for Hollywood and Vine, but I HAVEN'T EVEN ORDERED THE MATERIAL YET!!!

By the way....I only learn't to sew about a month ago....thanks to dis:cheer2:

I have material to make a finding nemo dress and a mickey dress for animal kingdom.

I have made a tshirt for dh with a welsh dragon mickey ( it's not great but he's happy enough)

I need to make tshirts for my DS, he wasnt one for Crystal Palace and I will also make him a chip and dale one

I purchased tshirts for us all with our names on from etsy...we are loving being cheesy this time:laughing:....we have never done this before.

We have our Fair FX card and all our cash.

Booked our hotel for the night before our flight

Our tickets from virgin arrived on Friday:cool1:

Not alot left to do....only wait.....and to do some sewing.....oh and to make autograph books

Sounds like you have a great trip planned! I'm really impressed that you are making your costumes!!

DD and I are also at DHS on 19th Sept - hope to be there for rope drop - we'll be wearing our t shirts with lime green mickey heads on - say hi if you see us! We'll have a look out for all of you wearing your dalmatians costumes at MNSSHP as we'll also be there on the 22nd Sept!

I Finished our MNSSHP costumes today, I've sewn all the ears onto the hats. I'm pleased with how they look and the kids are happy with them.

Orderd some little einstine material for the dress I want to make DD for Hollywood and Vine...hope it comes quickly as it's from the US!!!! Couldn't find any in the UK.

Tried to order the kids cake today from Pat at the GF bakery, but only got the answer machine, left a message but I will call again tomorrow.

I'm now toying with the idea of booking DD into the bibidee bobidee boutique....don't think I would book for the full package as it costs about $200....not even sure if their will be any availability....

DD wants a disney fairies dress...got the pattern but it looks so hard...and to top it off she keeps changing her mind about what fairy she wants to be!!!

I thought I would give a bit of an update on my planning......

After alot of debating with DH, we booked DD, Moli into the Bibbidi bobbidi boutique. We couldn't get the day we originaly wanted but had availability on the 26th Sept @ 12.30. We have booked her the Coach package as it was the mid range option.......couldn't realy justify $200 with the costume, so I thought I would take my own.

She wants a Disney Faries dress, I got the pattern, so thought I would make her one. She has finaly decided that she wants to be tinkerbell. So I ordered the material today...hope it comes soon!!!

I have been trying to order the cake for the kids but keep getting Pat @ the GF answer phone...I have left a few messages but I don't think she will call the UK....aarrgghh

I got a chip n dale iron on for my son, Ieuan. Put it on a plain white tshirt tonight, he's realy pleased with it and it will be great for our Garden Grill dinner.

Also booked another ADR, for the Plaza Resturant on the 26th @ 14.50

Now I'm thinking about booking the Pirates League for Ieuan....he's 10 but I'm sure he will love it.....DH, Rich will be killing me before long.....I just cant stop adding to the holiday:rotfl:

Update

Managed to order a cake for the kids. Pat at the GF bakery was lovely and she gave me her email address, so that I could get in touch easier.

I ordered a 8in yellow cake with buttercream. I went for a pirate/Princess theme with 'have a magical trip Ieuan and Moli' on it.

I can't wait to see it

I finished Moli's dress for Animal Kingdom on Sunday and I made Ieuan a matching tshirt today

5. Make DH and my Animal Kingdom Tshirts. Need to buy white tshirts

All this in just over a week...lets hope material arrives tomorrow:eek:

Sounds that you are going to have a great trip. The dresses that you have made are brilliant:worship::worship: I wish I was creative but I struggle to even put scout badges on for ds so don't think I can manage to make dresses

Just a quick update....

I have nearly finished Moli's Tinkerbell dress, boy it was hard, just need to finish the wings tomorrow.

I made Ieuan's Super Sleuth Tshirt and mine and Rich's Animal Kingdom Tees.

I also got a lucifer and Gus iron on's as I thought I would put them on a tee for Ieuan to wear to 1900 park fare.

Little Einstines Material arrived today so I should finish that dress tomorrow.....:banana::banana:
