I'm workin' today. M starts school tomorrow, so I've got some planning stuff to get ready tonight. I want to stop at Panera and get her a bagel for lunch tomorrow.

PrincessM went shopping with my sister yesterday. :scared1: I saw the receipts, OMG, I can't believe how much money she spent (it's good for us, because we don't have to buy her much for the fall/winter, but wow, I can't imagine dropping that much $ in two stores!).

Hoping this headache goes away soon.

Everyone have a great day!

08-31-2009, 07:08 AM

I'm very lucky. As the youngest of 7 (4 sisters), I am still spoiled rotten by proxy! She got some really cute stuff. Her tastes are very different than what I thought (and buy her ;) ).

Headache seems to have abated a bit (I got a FV iced coffee, that may have helped). I'm going to leave around 3:00 and do a couple errands before going home. I'm looking forward to tomorrow off ;)

08-31-2009, 11:56 AM

Ashley - Good Luck on phone interview!

08-31-2009, 12:49 PM
Well- I am sitting with my foot up after some frozen ribs dropped onto my foot and at least is causing bruising- I have it elevated and on ice. I can't wait for my foot to stop huring. I am guessing that the PO is out of the question for today.

08-31-2009, 01:16 PM
OH Rebecca, I'm so sorry.. I hate when stuff like that happens! Hope it's only bruising!!!!

08-31-2009, 01:33 PM

Ashley - Good Luck on phone interview!

Congrats to DD!!! And thanks! Phone interviews don't sound as scary as in person interviews, but I know I will be a ball of nerves anyway.

08-31-2009, 02:36 PM
okay so the day took a wonky turn and I've postponed the camper till tomorrow. It's gotta get done we leave friday at 2:30. I ended up at the grain store for 300# of cow grain, 100# of chicken grain, 400# of pig grain and 2 HUGE trace blacks (those suckers are heavy) husband showed up 5 minutes after I unloaded. Think i found a few muscles in the tummy I didn't know I had, usually I don't feel it moving grain 800# must have been a bit much.

Holly when I have that much to get done I need a written list somewhere the scary part is I print it afterwards so I can check it off.
rebecca sorry I've done that more than I'd care to admit! You'd think I learn to use a bag to carry it all upstairs.
TRM congrats to DD Horses were my passion when I was young, now that I'm old it hurts to much to fall off (I always rode the unridables) I still have three but they are pasture pets. DH would love to get rid of them.
Ashley good luck with the interview.

08-31-2009, 04:47 PM
DS17 had a not so good start to his day...car died right in front of the house of his friend when he was picking her for carpool. So, she had to drive in, her first time. DS said she did great, but I felt bad that it wasn't so great for a first day. Her father got him back on the road after school. Something with the battery terminals :confused3

He has some classes that I think he is going to love. Crossing my fingers that this will be a good year!

AND the weather last night and today is so lovely and cool! :yay: I've really been suffering this year with the heat, so this is soooo nice :teeth:

08-31-2009, 04:52 PM
Debbie so sorry to hear about the day not a helpful thing on a stressful day.
That's cool that he has some great classes.
Fall has hit here in VT as well. it didn't hit 70 and there was a nice breeze all day. I enjoyed it.

08-31-2009, 05:02 PM
ACK!!!! Y'all already have FALL?????!!!!!!! We were excited today because we are only going to hit 96 today instead of 102. We feel like we've had a cool front. Especially because we've had 65+ days of 100+ temps.

Debbie, sorry DS's day started out crummy!! Car troubles are NO fun.

It's tomorrow at noon, I'm just getting myself prepared today. Thanks for asking!

really Ash? that's just hot!

Tell me about it! It's felt so much better to be below 100 though, it's amazing what that small of a temperature change can do.

08-31-2009, 05:33 PM
Yup, fall like weather here... We didn't even hit 70 today..supposed to be in the low 50s tonight... up to the 80s tomorrow.. I hope its a nice day as PJ has another XC meet!

08-31-2009, 07:05 PM
I'm here, had a few errands to run before I came home and then had dinner and cleaned up the kitchen. Holly's mad at me cuz I think she should make an owl backpack for Bubba :scared1:

I made a card for PrincessM's first day (it's a tradition), got her a bagel from Panera, and am sitting down to take a breath. I'm sure I'm more anxious about tomorrow than she is.

I found some cute things for her teacher in the Dollar Spot at Target - some stuff for a calendar and some clear stamps, I went to the trial size section and picked up some Kleenex, a lip balm, a little stain remover, and a 24-count of Advil :) We had already picked up some hand sanitizer items from B&BW, and a cute stamp and ink pad from ACM. I had to use two containers to put it all in. We made an apple card with CDS and put it all together.

She's not going to like it, but I'm making PrincessM go to bed early. She was out until 9:00 last night!

08-31-2009, 07:21 PM
Trying to catch up. . .couldn't check in from work, and I've been running since I got home.

Ash--good luck tomorrow!!! And I hear you with the weather. We're still in the 90's here, too.

TinkRyansMom--way to go to your DD!!

Jennifer--tell PrincessM to have a wonderful day tomorrow!!

Holly--go give the Walgreens people what for!!!

I'm sure I missed stuff--everyone hang in there and have a wonderful evening!!

And in case I don't say it enough--I treasure our friendships here!! We are a lucky group of ladies!!

08-31-2009, 08:43 PM
It's too late for me, I am too tired to post. Suffice to say it was a busy Monday, and back to school to boot but..........

It's the most wonderful time of the yearrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. :goodvibes

08-31-2009, 09:00 PM
Holly I can only carry one bag at a time! Trust me on that one I bet you gould to think of it as picking up Bubba, they're only 50#. And by the end of that 800# I was tired. I hate unloading from my Sequoia cause it's low and has the gate that goes up I'd much rather unload from the truck and onto the shoulder. Oh well..... The sad part is I did this and worked!!! somedays I wonder how the heck I did it all.
I'm headed to bed it was a LOOOONG day. And I'm already scared of my list for tomorrow.
