Well on Tuesday i went for my first scan and it was such a wonderful experience and since actaully seeing the baby it has hit me that it is really all happening i am one week earlier than we calculated so i am 11 weeks instead of 12 so i need to go back for another scan on the 17th as the baby was too small to measure. Next time i go i am going to get the scan on video.

Sooo my due date is now 22nd January 2003!!!

Eda, that's lovely! :D

I didn't realise you could get the scan on video, in my day we just had the black and white photograph, mind you the last time was 9 years ago so I guess we have moved on since then!

You never know, if the baby arrives a bit early you could have a Christmas Baby! :D

Hi Eda,

The first scan is such an experience isn't it! I can remember with both my daughters that amazing feeling of seeing them for the first time:D I hope you are enjoying your pregnancy so far. Have you had any morning sickness or are you suffering any weird and wonderful cravings yet?

That's wonderful, Eda :) What an amazing experience!

(Janice, we had the scans 'in my day', but no such thing as taking home photos or videos ;) )

Eda,

Your first scan is wonderful news..It makes it all seem real somehow:D

When I had my scans I really wanted a photo and offered to pay for one but they wouldn't allow it,a video would have been amazing.Guess I had my offspring too early!

Hi Eda - I had to have two scans of Katie:)

In those days (all 9 years ago;) ) you had to drink what seemed like gallons of water to extend your bladder and push up baby - I can remember panicking that I wouldn't be able to life my leg up to get on the table for fear of tiddling myself!!

A video - what a lovely idea.

Take care of yourself.

Thanks Everyone!!!

Gosh if i didn't have a scan i would be so worried, wondering if the baby is OK. I have a little black and white photo but the hospital charge £10 for the video and i think i will be watching it over and over again.

So far so good with the sickness and next week i will be 12 weeks so i think i have been really luckily but i am feeling sooo sleepy all the time. All i want to do when i go home from work is sleep, i don't even want any dinner. Tonight we are going for a meal and then to bar with some friends and i don't know how i am going to last!!!
