I was looking to already, possibly book, a 2010 WDW vacation for one of the monorail resorts. We were looking to book it for July/August, since that is when the value season of the summer occurs. We were wondering if there are any rumors about codes, or if you have heard anything about PINs. Thanks in advance.

How far in advance have the codes come out in the past?
I recieved a code in 2008 but don't remember when it came. I am also looking to book in August but it will depend on a code or not as to how long we go for and even where we stay.

I booked for Aug 2010 getting the free dining plan. It was a bounceback offer for current guests at the WL. I believe the offer code was KIL but I guess it wouldn't work if you're not currently a guest, though I've never tried that...

I am really hoping for a military 40% room discount again next year plus the free dining. We have booked already at Shades of Green and Beach Club for August 2010. Shades of Green is really really reasonable in price but you don't get the Key to the World card, magical express or dining plan when staying there. We would really like to stay at Beach Club and get the military discount if they extend it for next year. Here's crossing my fingers X:yay::yay:

wisnieea: 4/3 offer for 2009 was valid for dates through 8/15/09. I remember because I had to change my vacation dates--we originally wanted 8/15-22 and eventually booked 8/8-15 because of the great deal.

Is that for all resorts? Or are value resorts less? TIA

09-29-2009, 10:01 AM
Carol, to answer your question, yes, value resort's discounts are less. It's either 10% or 15%
So, is anyone really really really waiting and hoping for free dining now that there are already some 2010 deals up. It's just been making me think of it more now that we are going into 2010!!!:cool1:
What i'm hoping is that it's announced earlier than usual, because I think deals through March, which is up right now, is pretty early :confused3 I could be wrong though, not sure.

Oh, I'd MUCH prefer the 4/3 deal to free dining! The dining plan is just too much for us. 43%--the approximate disccount of the 4/3 deal--now THAT's something that I could use.:)

I know it really stinks. We were there end of August and it was the familys first trip. My husband had a good time but said we would go back in 3 years. Well a month later i told my husband we could go away cheaper in a moderate plus there would only be 4 of us this time not 5, so he agreed we will go back next August and i already booked. I kept reading about those bounceback flyers with the free dining (i dont know at the time if my DH saw it would have changed his mind and told me to book but it stinks that they cant at least give you a month from the time you leave to book) now i have to wait until end of March hoping they offer FD. That is an awfully long time from now. I guess only advantage to that would be i could making dining reservations mid February before this offer comes out in March/April if it comes out,

I am getting ready to make a reservation for July 2010. If I make the reservation for seven nights and the 4/3 doesn't come through, can I downgrade it to fewer nights? We're attending a conference at Universal (Harry Potter!!!) and I was planning on moving to the conference hotel halfway through our stay, but if I can get the 4/3 deal we'll just stay on property the whole time to take advantage of the dining plan. *droooools*

I would like to go next May and wanted to know if there is some reason I should be booking the trip some time soon. Sorry to be so off topic, but I thought there might be something that I've missed since the last time we went. (May 2007) :confused3

Personally, since our dates are not at all flexible because we're also attending a conference, I want to make sure we get exactly where we want to be. We had been considering camping, but the FW tent area is already full! Plus, this is the first time I am planning a Disney vacation on my own, and I am nervous and would like to have everything as straightened out as possible.
I am toying with:
* booking for 7 days with AAA discount, then downgrading to 4 if the 4/3 deal or free dining don't come through,
or
* booking for 4 days with AAA and trying to extend to 7 if the one of the deals does come through.
All of you guys seem so good at this stuff, I'm very happy to be a part of this board. It gives me confidence for the first time I have the reins of planning!

I'm joining the code watch too. We haven't booked yet, but this is probably our only time we can go in 2010. Hoping for a 40% bounceback that we can book while we are there next month, but even better would be the 4/3 deal for the public.:thumbsup2

Hoping for free dining in August 2010. Anytime after the 17th would be fine for me! I haven't booked yet, as I am hoping it will encourage Disney to put out more discounts due to having less rooms booked far in advance. We are hoping for Pop Century. We like it better than the moderates and it costs less per night.
Meanwhile, I keep right on saving for vacation with my fingers crossed!

I am planning on going 7/31/10 through 8/7/10 and I made my reservations at the end of August. The reason I do this is because I make my initial $200 deposit and then pay a little every pay day, sort of a "vacation on layaway plan." I love it, the money doesn't hit me all at once and it gives me a comfort zone of knowing I have what I want. As you can tell by my signature - WLR! I am taking my grandniece and my cousin's granddaughter for their first visits!

I agree. The last request I made throught AAA was to be as close to another family as we could be that we were traveling with. It was accommodated (we were on the same floor at VWL).:thumbsup2
AAA will also book all of your ADRs if you want them to. I personnally like to do it myself.

Add me to the July/August 2010 code watchers.........
I just wanted to mention to those who asked, Disney extended the 4/3 deal from the end of June to mid-august IN mid/end Jan. 09 (like the 20th). I remember because I booked for my family and a friend's family, who lives in California. She paid me when we met up on our annual girls trip (in Chicago mid-Feb) with Disney Dollars. March 29th was the last day to book. I'm hoping Disney continues this tradition (offering deals earlier in the year for the summer as oppose to May - a trend I've noticed).
Anyway, I'm on board to stalking Disney for codes/deals!:surfweb:

^^^ Some posters have shared receiving this PIN after registering for the "give a day/get a day" volunteer opportunity. Others claim that registering several family members through Disney has resulted in them receiving emails with the much coveted PINs.
I don't know because we've tried all of the above, and then some by registering for everything and anything Disney, and we've not received the above PIN. The one and only PIN we ever got was for $556/adult at a value through 6/3/09. It was an excellent offer, but we couldn't use it because our dates are for late June-early July. The kids in Florida go back to school around the 2nd week because we have been there in the middle of August before and crowds weren't too bad - except for weekends at the MK, that was a bear!

I would love to get a PIN for the 40% off deal. But I'm wondering if that would be a better deal than possible free dining.
We saved $1296 with the 40% off code at AKV Kidani. Free dining would save us $1090. We did book the quick service dining plan, I think that was around $850

I just booked rooms only for July. I have not gotten a pin, I have been on the website every day saving packages under 2 different emails but Nothing!! Disney Visa - nothing! I do have AAA so I at least got 10% off. I couldn't wait to book any longer!!! A little excitement for a Monday anyway.... :cheer2:

:surfweb:I priced out and saved offers on Disney.com in hopes of getting a pin, and to see the difference between the quotes from the travel agent and disney, anyway, we got an email with a pin code, but the code was for travel this fall, not next July when we plan on visiting the world:headache:
Well I may try again, change the dates/resort/length of trip to see if it triggers another email pin. :wizard:

We are booked for the last week in July for 7 days at POR.....I am so stinkin mad right now because I KNOW we received the 20%, 30% and 40% pin code email about a month ago after I saved 4 trips on the Disney website...and I told my husband not to delete any emails from Disney. Well I remember seeing that email come through and all of this just jogged my memory....so I quickly went to our email inbox - NO EMAIL...went to trash - NO EMAIL....rrrrghhhh...oh well, fingers crossed for the 4/3 offer to be extended. We booked for last July last March and the offer was extended then so I am sure it will be again. With the state of the economy, I am sure Disney wants to offer the best deals for their customers (we will go even if we don't get an offer).

You should be able to contact Disney to see if the PIN code is attached to your name. It should be there if you receive the email.

We received two codes for the 20, 30 and 40% off for most of 2010. I applied one code to our 7/5/10 - 7/12/10 BLT trip. We have been going to WDW since 1991 and we never received a code. Saw a thread about a month ago about saving quotes on the Disney web site. Welcome to the DIS. :welcome:
When I received the pin code, I made sure it was for our dates. I called up and asked the CM (Cast Member) if the pin code could be applied to our current ressie at BLT (Bay Lake Tower) 1 bdrm villa TPV (Theme Park View). She said yes:yay: but they only had LV (Lake View) available. All the TPV's were taken under the pin code. So we switched. I do believe that they only have a certain allotment of rooms per pin code. I may be wrong but that was my understanding. So the CM told me to keep trying back as people cancel all the time to see if the TPV becomes available under the pin code. Called back and there was a 2 bdrm villa TPV available and it was too good to pass up with the pin code. So we are now booked at BLT with a 2 bdrm TPV and saved us $3700.00 off regular rate and we even added an extra night.:dance3: Now the boys will have their own room. Priceless.:cheer2:
PS my dad loves Guinness. True Irishman he is.:drinking1 Did you get a lot of snow up there? We are in Ocean Cty and are slammed with a good 2 feet.:scared1: Looks like the kids will be home tomorrow from school.

CoachBagFanatic... we only got about 7 or 8 inches here - looked like it was going to be worse, but it looks to have stopped sooner than they thought and it only really started coming down hard in the early evening.
Thanks for the feedback. My big fear is locking something in and then something better coming along.

This was the subject title in the e-mails.
I received 2 offers on Wednesday. One was 15%, 20%, 25%, or 30% off on a Disney Resort stay from 5/2 to 8/14/10. Have to book by Feb. 3rd.
The other was a FREE regular disney dining or FREE quick service plan from 8/15 to 10/2/10. The Disney Dining plan (regular plan) has to be booked at select moderate, deluxe or villas. The Quick service has to be booked with value resorts. Of course, park tickets are to be purchased as well.
This one has to be booked by Feb. 3rd as well.
Both offers had PIN codes

I am really bothered by the MANY, MANY, MANY pin codes I'm getting for OTHER people in my emails (two of my email addresses are merged). Over the last 7 or 8 years my family and I have traveled with SEVERAL different families. 3 of those families have received pin codes sent to my email in last few weeks. NONE for my family. I've ONLY received a code ONCE - during a season I couldn't go - of course a few years back.

Room only special (20/30/35/40) was just extended through 8/14. Look under special offers on-line. I called and CM had trouble with the code on a moderate and told me that these discounts were just released and that the system would need to be corrected. I switched from a BC standard room to a BC deluxe CL room. We'll be there two weeks and we still saved over $200 and are getting a bigger and better room plus it's Club Level!
The regular price for the BC Deluxe CL room is $540 a night - we're paying $324 a night! So the real savings for the room is over $2800!

I see that the new promotions have to be booked by 3/27. You think they will come out with other June/July/August discounts after 3/27 or you think they will come out with the "free dining" at that time? Seems too early to end a promotion for the whole summer season. But who am I to kidd, Disney can do whatever they want

I think they put the March date to try and get as many reservations booked as quickly as they can. If they aren't selling enough then we'll probably hear that the offer is "extended". I'm just glad to have a code available for July! Time to plan the family vacation.

The only codes we can "give" you are the ones already on the Disney Website. Anything else is person specific. Meaning no one else can use that code.
It shouldn't be long to hear if Disney will giving the free dining.

We called and got the 30% discount..it saved us almost $1,000...Then we see the post about free dining, called and I had a pin code attached to my name, but I can't use both codes. We were a little upset, but we save more money with the hotel discount...We are very excited about our first stay at CBR:banana:

I have the regular 25% off deluxe they are currently offering but think I am close to getting a PIN, I hope it will be for 40% off. I got the explore your resort email so I am hopeful for tomorrow! See the thread that Gallant posted on how to get a pin, it has worked for a lot of people.
