View Full Version : Photographer's view of Biergarten

I am an amateur photographer that likes to eat. So I will be posting some of the restaurants that we visited. Me, DW, DD14, DD8. We had lunch at Biergarten. I love German food but we don't really have a German restaurant near our house so the rest of the family has not been exposed to it. One more thing is that I am not big in to taking a lot of pictures of buffets. It is just too hard to get shots of areas with crowds of people trying to eat. I did get a few shots of the food but before I ate here I was really interested in what the show was like. There were 5 in our party today and we were put at a table next to the stage with another couple. The adults all ordered beer which was very refreshing on a hot August day. The restaurant was very dark but authentic to what a real beer hall in German would look like. We all headed off to start the buffet.

Some of the side dishes: Schwaebische Kaese Spaetzle mit glacierten Zwiebeln (Cheese Spatzle with glazed Onions), Hausgemachte Spaetzle (Homemade Spaetzle),Braised Red Cabbage and Macaroni and Cheese.

I love, love, love your pictures! They are absolutely beautiful and I love being able to see the food and the restaraunt in the pics.:thumbsup2

I love you can see the moon just over the roof top in the first picture!

Love your pics, especially from Sci-fi and Biergarten b/c we have ADRs for October at these places. I'm an amateur photographer as well, can you tell me what your EXIF was on these indoor restaurants that are dark? I just have a Nikon D40 and will have my tripod, but wasn't planning on taking it during the day, just for fireworks a couple of the nights. What glass were you using as well?? Thanks!!! :goodvibes

You might be able to pull of some of the shots with a D40 if you have a fast lens. Good luck and have a great time. Will watch for your efforts when you return.
