So we all know that Disney is filled with characters that exhibit confidence, strength, and determination. However, there are some that just have no backbone or guts whatsoever. Who is the biggest whimp in Disney character history?

Interesting thread. I didn't think of adorable wimpy I thought of bad guy wimpy and immediately thought of Radcliffe from Pocahontas.

Pooh is very whimpy but that's how he's suppose to be, and I like him just fine the way he is. Sweet as honey and soft and pudgy. But he does have good morals and sticks by them. Gotta love the Pooh.

Piglet! He is by far the wimpiest - oh d-d-d-dear!

Hate to be the one to say this, but look at the old cartoons . . . clearly, it's Mickey Mouse. (dons flame-retardant suit :) )

Piglet is a pretty wimpy character.
Dopey's a bit up there too.
Prince John is probably the wimipiest when you compare what he is (a lion) to his mannerisms.
Let's face it, just about the entire Winnie the Pooh gang is pretty wimpy now that I think about it.

I have to go with Piglet.
My initial thought was Eeyore, but after reading the replies, I'm going to have to agree that it's Piglet.

I hate to say it because he's one of my favorite characters, but it's Piglet. I just love Piglet. He so sweet and lovable, even if he is whimp. I'm a big whimp too, so I think that's why I love him so.

Actually I believe Piglet has a very brave heart. He has had his brave moments, and would do anything if a friend really needed him to. I'd have to go with Prince John too! HE SUCKS HIS THUMB!

My first thought was Goofy, but he's just Goofy and can't help it. I agree with Piglet. But running a close second would have to be Dopey. Yeah, he may get the girls, but I'm sure he's been beaten up at least once by each of the other dwarves, and probably by Snow White too.

I often discuss with my girls about what a whimp Snow White is. Running through the forest screaming? Not standing up to that scary old lady giving her an apple? She knew she shouldn't do it but was just being polite. Cinderella should have stood up to those step sisters too.I loved the princesses when I was little but now that I am all grown up I think "Why did so many of them have to rely on a man to save them?". What does that teach our daughters? I know women had very few options back then. I am thankful that Disney's female characters have become way less wimpy. Mulan is one of my favorites and am happy to say that she also my oldest daughter's favorite character. I guess I should save that for "Who is the toughest Disney character thread". :rotfl:

Yes! But what does that say about Gaston, having a wimp in his 'posse'?

I agree with everyone who said Prince John. Another character who came to mind was Wiggins, the bumbling sidekick of Gov. Ratcliffe from Pocahontas.
Arthur was a pretty big wimp during the first 1/3 of The Sword In The Stone, but seemed to cure his wimpiness as the film progressed. And finally, Marlin from Finding Nemo. Yes, he was brave in his quest, but whined & griped the whole time. Dorey really was the one with the backbone...er uh...whatever fishes have for a spine.

At first I was thinking Piglet, but even he has even shown signs of being brave once or twice, so I have to go with Prince John.

This type of thread is a better fit over on the theme parks community board, so I'm going to move this over there now.

Hands down......Ichabod Crane.
How could I forget about Ichabod. :headache:
Interesting piece of Disney trivia: Ichabod Crane is the only main character from any Disney animated feature film to actually LOSE to the villain in the end. Brom Bones scares off the "hero", and ends up with Ichabod's girl.
Yeah, Ichabod definitely qualifies for Disney's top wimp.
