Thanks for posting Janice, they're great pictures. We are hoping to visit AKL in December and maybe try one of the restaurants there.
Just one question, can you tell me what the 'yellow object' is at the top of the stairs on the last photo? Just curious! :D

The yellow object is a 'mask' - in comma's because it's huge - it would cover the wearers entire body. A CM told me about it, and I can't quite remember when it was used, but he did say it was a great honor to be chosen to wear it, and you could bring disgrace on your family if you were to stumble or fall while you were wearing it (which given the size of it would seem quite likely)

The yellow object is as Bev says a Tribal Mask which is worn for Ceremonial services and occassions. To give you an indication of the size of it - here is another picture of Shirley stood in front!
It is huge but a wonderful work of art and worth going to AKL just to see this alone!

Great pics, Janice - I was right back there for a moment!
I couldn't get over the total transformation from Florida to 'Africa' from the moment you turn in the driveway - amazing detail! (Disclaimer - I haven't actually been to Africa, but I'm using my imagination here ;) )
