Vote for the DVC resort(s) which, in your personal opinion, should win in the category of “Best Overall Theme”.

I have excluded the two offsite DVC resorts from consideration in this poll. I would suggest voting for your top one to three choices in this category, and then optionally adding a reply outlining your vote and the reason(s) behind your vote.

Being this is best overall theme not favorite resort, how can you not say AKV????????? Now I have no desire to stay there but being there how can you argue? The only theme that is actually real nothing "fake" about those animals!!!!!!!!!! Beautiful resort but I just have no desire to stay there probably because it is the one resort where it is not walking distance to anything.

I voted for VWL.

AKV has a great theme, but it doesn't compare to the excitement of a real safari lodge, so I couldn't vote for it.

Also, VCG is themed pretty similarly to VWL, but I feel like the theme is carried through better at VWL (due to the forest, woods, lakeside setting - VCG is in the middle of an urban area so it doesn't have that feel).

This is a tough one for me, as to attention to detail has to be VWL.

While I can appreciate the attention to detail at AKV, it does not appeal to me and the grounds are not spacious enough to be true to a real Africian safari lodge.

Which theme appeals to be asthetically for a long trip: SSR I just find the architecture of the buildings, the landscaping, the openess, the fountains so peaceful. I have to have wide open spaces to be relaxed, places I can escape the crowds and breathe.

I think you actually feel like you are in the great northwest through quite of bit of the resort. AKV, dribs and drabs, but not as thoroughly as VWL.

My vote went as follows:

1.) AKV

2.) VGC

3.) VWL

This was a tough one for me to decide on because I truly love each of our resorts for a variety of reasons.

Best theming?

I'd say anything that Peter Dominick deigned. That would be WL and AKL along with the Grand Californian at DL. That puts VWL and AKV at the top of my "themed resorts" list! :thumbsup2

AKV, VWL, BWV. They all take me away to wonderful places.

The theme at AKV is wonderful. I have not been to Africa, but it sure feels like I have been - twice! :thumbsup2

Definitely, hands down Villas at the Wilderness lodge. from the music in the lobby to the detailing all around (check out the top of the totem poles) this resort is a theme paradise.

AKV for the fantastically executed African theme, both throughout the resort and in the rooms.

VWL for the great lobby at the WL, and the whole theme of the resort.

VGC since it's similar to the above two.

BLT has a nice modern, upscale feel, but it's not much of a theme.

BCV and BWV have a similar theme, which is nice.

OKW has a nice laid back Florida theme.

I don't care for the theme of SSR.

I have no idea how BLT has the same number of votes as BCV on theming.

People, BLT does not have a theme. BCV is beautifully themed. I understand that you love your new memberships, BLT owners, but this does not obligate you to vote for BLT in every category :lmao:

We're overlooking another part of SSR - and that is the Tree House Villas. They are simply exquisite and the details are amazing in the units themselves.

Fully agree that SSR (the main part) is also a place I find relaxing and very easy on the eyes.

I tried in my mind to justify voting for a resort other than AKV. Couldn't do it, AKV takes this category hands down.
