Well, I have quite a collecting of Disney resort mugs, which I can no longer use on future. I hate to see them go to waste, so I came up with a few ideas for them:

1. Disney themed planters - cactus for Coronado Springs, pine tree for Wilderness Lodge, etc.

2. Pencil holders for the students in you life.

3. Host your own Disney Octoberfest party!

4. Old fashioned shaving mug for Gramps.

5. Lovely Christmas gifts - "The Disney assorted mug collection".

6. Kids' party game - penny toss into Disney mugs.

7. Fill with coins to save up for the next trip.

8. Fill with soaps for the guest bath.

9. Have a Disney tea party.

10. Unbreakable rinsers for baby's shampoo.

Anyone else?

Matching wedding mugs for the bride and groom.

Fill them 3/4 full of water after removing the bottom and freeze them. Turn them into freezer mugs.

Party favors at kids birthday parties.

Sell them on e-bay - complete collections or through the years series.

We just use them to drink out of! They are great for outdoors, as they are insulated and have lids, so pesky flies are sharing with you, or drowning. Also, they are great for car trips, with the lids to help prevent spills. Also, we fill them up with ice and water and let our DD take them outside when she plays, so she will have access to cold water without having to run in and out all the time. We LOVE ours!

Snowwhitemom, apparently they are adding bar codes to the mugs so you can only use them for your length of stay. There are a couple of threads about that.

Because Disney is going to (finally) enforce the length of stay rule for the mugs. The new mugs (when they get them) will have bar codes that will be linked to your reservation, you will then have to scan the mug to turn on the soda machine.

Great ideas!!! Actually, I use mine for iced tea every single day. I just switch between my All Star Music and Contemporary mugs. (Not sure where the WL mug went to?!)

You've got to be kidding!! You can no longer take mugs from previous visits and reuse them??
I was just at AKL in June and we were able to use the mugs that we bought last summer :)
When does this new barcode policy go into effect, or has it already??
