I noticed on the snack thread lots of sweet treats. Can you all share some of the healthier snack option (Read: non- dessert snack items) and where you would find them? Thank you!

We leave in about 10 days.

I like the apple slices w/ carmel dipping sauce that you can get at many of the hotel food courts - I found that at both Poly and Pop's food courts in the past year (maybe also at the fruit stand in Toontown, but I'm not 100% sure on that). Yogurt is another one. I guess this would be considered dessert, but I was checking out the calories on a chocolate dipped frozen banana we got at Epcot and it's wasn't too bad.

my daughter likes to get carrots and ranch at the little place by the barnstormer in Toon Town. I don't remember the name but it is set up to look kind of like a farmers market. She also got a pineapple spear at the Dole whip stand.

Everyday at my resort CBR, I would get fresh pineapple instead of dessert with my meal!

There are also frozen strawberry bars. Maybe more like dessert, but they're fruit-based and frozen...nice on a hot day! And a far better option than a Mickey Bar :)

I have a question about the kids meals. If you get the carrot sticks with the meal do they give you some ranch to dip them in? If not is that something that you can buy seperately or no?

There's fruit cups(grapes, melon, pineapple, combos), whole fruit, whole grain crackers, yogurt, oatmeal, bran muffins, dark-chocolate covered frozen banana (both those things are good for you), celery and carrots, smoothies, hummus, pretzels (less good than other things, but better than cheesecake), pickles, baked potatoes, soup, breadsticks with marinara sauce (at the hotels, not at AK).

There's lots to have without having just junk food

Dole whips? they are lactose free, so i gather they are just fruit...
I love them:lovestruc

I always get their fruit salad (available in the morn at least) and a regular salad (available at lunch and night). They're smaller portions but it's great.

We love the big dill pickles, we always have to get one a day, and hubby and I share it. There is a stand outside Kilimanjaro Safari at AK, a stand in Liberty Square at MK, and a stand on the street heading towards RNRC/ToT at DHS. A healthy and cool snack !!!:thumbsup2

I love the big dill pickles (also found them at a popcorn stand near PotC last time) and the pineapple spears from the place where you buy the dole whips!

Oh, and don't forget popcorn!!! :goodvibespopcorn::

I always get a bottle of water every day with my snack credit. Don't think there's anything healthier for you than water on a hot FL day...

I'm already eating 2 desserts every day with the dining plan (although I try to just take a few bites of each and stop at that...). There's NO WAY I'm going to try to put ANOTHER dessert into my body. Three desserts in one day is way too much for me unless I want to buy another whole wardrobe when I get back home...

I've always loved the giant pineapple spears at Aloha Isle.

One of my favorites is the frozen OJ slush in MK at the sunshine tree terrace. Not sugary, just OJ. Sooooo good on a hot day :cloud9:

Starring Rolls at DHS offers a bagel and cream cheese, at least they did as of last spring.
