We're going through DU and our final payment is due late August. Once I make final payment to them, I still have to wait for it to clear through DCL to be considered "paid" and to reserve the excursions (60 days prior) correct?

So is the best option to pay DU a week before the 60 day due date and then they'll have it processed by the date? It took 2 business days to process my deposit through DCL when we reserved.

And then when do docs typically show up? Once you've paid DCL issues them to DU and then they send them to us?

I'm not sure how all this timing works out exactly - thanks in advance

Once your final payment is processed by DU, you will receive information on pre-booking shore excursions. You can make your final payment at any time up to the due date, but I don't know if DCL will accept your excursion booking more than 60 days in advance.

Documents are sent directly to you from DCL via FedEx. That can be anywhere from 2-6 weeks prior to your cruise. If you have booked your airfare through DCL, it is more like 2 weeks prior as air is booked 30 days prior to your cruise.

To book your excursions you have to be paid in full and the earliest they can be booked once paid in full is 60 days. I would pay them one week before your 60 day mark to make sure your payment has made it to DCL especially if you want to do an excursion that books up real quick.
