DIS digi-challenge #72 (8/26-9/1)

OOOPS! Sorry I'm late posting this, ladies! (thanks, britt, for reminding me I was hosting!) You know how life gets sometimes.....:confused3

SO anyways.....Welcome to the digi-challenge #72!

This challenge is going to be a combination color/character challenge......with a twist or two, because I like to mix stuff up like that! :lmao:

1. Pick your favorite Disney character. Use that character's "color" as the main color of your layout. Which "color" you use from a character is open to interpretation (for example, if your fave is Mickey, you could use black, red, yellow, or white....I'm not gonna be a stickler here!)

THE CHARACTER DOES NOT HAVE TO BE PART OF THE LAYOUT nor does the layout have to be ABOUT the character....we're just focusing on the color scheme, m'kay? Make sure you say who your favorite character is so we understand the color scheme!!

2. use at least 3 papers, one of which must be solid and in the color of your character (for example, my favorite character is Cinderella, so my layout will have to have a solid blue paper in it)

3. use 2 shades (or more if you want to!) of your character's color in your layout (recoloring is totally acceptable) in addition to the paper in #2.

4. Use an alpha for your title

5. Use an odd number of pictures

Clear as mud? :D As always, the layout must be Disney-related and entries are due by midnight, CDT on Tuesday 9/1.

My favorite character is Figment, but I really don't like purple at all. So to cram all this purple into a LO was really a challenge! :)

One of my FAVORITE Disney characters is Jessie from Toy Story 2 (http://www.pixar.com/featurefilms/ts2/images/chrs_jesse.jpg). I see her main color as red, so I started with a red background and went from there.

fonnetta- yay! I was hoping to see some princesses in here! Love all the scattered elements down the side, very pretty LO!

susan0326- very nice adding the little mickey touches!! the stitching down the side is a great contrast on the black and the shadowing is awesome! great LO!

BriarRose59- LOL! Blue/Pink....whichever! Cools pics of SM!! It looks a lot different over there! and I love all the little sparkly touches, very cool LO!

CAVEA001- hahahahaha....I think the purple looks great! It works with the lighting in the pics! great job!

momloveseeyore- love how you did the title, very unique! Those are great colors for a monsters LO, great job!!

glitter paper and mickey glitter can be found from Britt-ish designs (she sells at scrapmatters.com). You may be able to find a freebie by looking through the Disney Digi kits thread in this forum. Hope you find some bling!

Almost forgot to do this! Mickey is my favorite character and Sorcerer Mickey is my favorite Mickey, so I chose blue from the sorcerer's hat. The text and splats are also blue.

Tinkerbell is one of my favorite characters. I know most people associate green with her, but these days I see purple. (My DD's lunch box is mostly purple accented with green. okay.....i had a few different favorites, but since i have only 1 GC to give away.......the winner is......fonnetta! My DD LOVED the jasmine layout, and I love the way she used jasmine's colors and all the elements and sparkles down the side of her LO.....it's just a fun, princessy layout!
